20 ANNE BOLEYN REMUS

This is a lavish celebration. Since it started snowing in mid-autumn, the banquet could not be held outdoors. Instead, they had a big meal in the greenhouse.

There are many kinds of plants in it. Whether it's herbs, flowers, fruit trees, or even giant wreaths, join in to enliven the inside. As soon as Kirsi reached the front gate in her luxurious horse-drawn carriage, the 9ft high gate was pulled by 4 strong guards. They greet guests with friendly, firm gestures.

Kirsi and Frederick were escorted by a maid from inside the house to get to the greenhouse. The old servant kindly took over the gift box in Frederick's hands.

The two of them were the umpteenth guests to arrive late. As soon as the see-through door in the greenhouse opened, everyone's attention turned to them. As Kirsi expected for a celebration held in such a frozen season, people wouldn't have enough interest in wearing colourful clothes like a Christmas tree. On the other hand, people wear a cool coloured costumes like milk blue, white, pastel colours, light brown, etc. Kirsi was the only one who came to someone's birthday party in her signature funeral gown. But the hosts didn't seem to have enough face to be offended.

Kirsi, a modern person who is attending a noble princess's birthday party, forgets that she is supposed to be wearing brightly coloured clothes. Sorry for the carelessness. She completely forgot to think about the meaning of colour when what she liked most about an outfit was the model. Rather than attending someone's coming-of-age celebration, the clothes she was wearing were more suitable for attending an imperial court hearing.

She looked elegant and dignified, with a stern face and polite gestures that were pleasing to the eye. The real Kirsi is a beautiful woman who can't stand being looked at because of her brusque and rude demeanour. But the new Kirsi is someone who spent her childhood in the residence of an Asian family who is obliged to learn manners. At least if she didn't intend to be friendly, she should be polite.

The host is wearing a pink dress that expands the bottom with a petticoat 6 rings. The front of her dress is embellished with assorted gems, not to mention paired with golden puff sleeves and a cystic crown over a full halo of hair whose inner braids are weaved like a bird's nest, she really looks like a birthday cake itself.

The birthday girl looked very happy when she saw the troublesome Crown Princess coming to her party. She was about to jog towards the newly wedded woman, but her nanny instantly cleared her throat softly to remember her about the manners of a grown woman. She just turned 18 today. She will be a grown woman from now on. So Anne Boleyn Remus immediately corrected her behaviour by walking as gracefully as possible towards her guest of honour.

When Anne arrived before Kirsi, she bend her knee and bowed her head, doing her curtsy clumsily. Kirsi took off her oversized hat and gave it to a nearby maid for safekeeping, then replied with a more subtle curtsy.

Anne said, "Your Highness, I'm so glad you came." Her hands were clasped together across her chest, a cute gesture if only her clothes weren't as crowded as the fish market. Maybe she was too excited that she ended up wearing all kinds of jewellery on her body. Kirsi couldn't keep her eyes wide open to that blinding glint. So it was difficult for her to find Anne beautiful in that dress.

Kirsi smiled gently and said, "There's no way I'd miss a party belonging to a girl as cute as you. But it's a pity that Your Majesty the Crown Prince couldn't attend with me due to his busy schedule. Instead, I can only bring you this small gift." Kirsi gave called, and then the waiter who had brought her birthday present came with a box of gifts on a large silver tray. The waiter leaned toward Anne so she could see her gift. Anne looked excited. Anne has no shortage of gifts at her residence. Except that she was so thirsty for the attention of the people around her.

Kirsi explained, "This is my present. It is a gift that doesn't last long, so you can open it later after you blow out the birthday cake candle."

"I feel very flattered, Your Highness. Thank you very much. Let's enjoy the party to the fullest."

As the host and the main star of this party, Anne could not accompany Kirsi for too long. As soon as Kirsi found a place to wait for the event to begin, she was already running towards the other guests to show off her charms.

There were several long tables with hundreds of dishes in the middle. Another table filled with sweet and savoury snacks. Then two slightly smaller tables of desserts with fountain chocolates stood eye-catching in the middle. The area around the main course seemed deserted because the event hadn't really started yet. However, the area around the snack and dessert table was full of people.

Kirsi sat at the round table with Frederick in front of her, looking like she didn't intend to blend in for now. If Frederick came to this party with Cedric, he wouldn't hesitate to comment on Anne's birthday cake-like appearance. Frederick waited for his madam to bring up the topic first so he wouldn't feel guilty when commenting on other people's appearances. But for some reason, Kirsi didn't seem interested at all in it. What's this? Don't women most like to comment on other women's appearance? While men feel they are competing for muscle mass and strength with each other, women are more competitive about their beauty. Commenting on the other party's outfit is one way to stand out.

Kirsi, of course, was itching not to throw all the jewellery off Anne's body. But only to that extent. She felt she had no right to comment when she herself had no intention of comparing each other. From any point of view, she is the best though. Kirsi snorted softly. Her eyes wandered around subtly, trying to scan the guests who were present today.

As she had expected, none of the guests from the palace could attend. Not a single prince could be found. On the other hand, there was one little Princess of the Emperor who had already had her coming-of-age ceremony last year. She was accompanied by a palace representative.

The presence of this little princess was insignificant because she was only the daughter of a concubine. Unlike her three older brothers who were born to the previous Empress. However, besides this Princess, many other important people were also present. Charming generals from all over the country took the time to attend this event before returning to their respective regions. But most of them would rather surround the Remus couple than Anne, today's main star.

While Kirsi was solemnly searching for the Grand Marshal who was nowhere to be found, someone came to her desk with a glass of wine in hand. When Kirsi saw him, the person smiled sweetly. His dark blue eyes narrowed. His smiling lips formed a small pool of dimples on his cheeks. Seeing it builds the interest of the viewer.

"Hi, how are you? "

It was Kirsi's older brother, Arcana Nevan Evander. He is a man who is 5 years older than Kirsi. His back bluish-black hair was braided sideways gracefully. He is handsome with a friendly demeanour, but also dignified and refined. His attire was plain and simple, but with one look at it, one could tell that he was the son of a high-ranking aristocrat.

"Brother, nice to see you here." Kirsi immediately stood up to say hello. Frederick as one of the ministers of war's child who grew up in a noble circle also stood up to greet him. Towards him, Arcana smiled relatively kindly.

"I'd better give you a place to talk." Frederick politely offered, but Arcana shook his head reluctantly.

The man said, "Don't be so stiff. I'm just saying hello to my sister for a bit." Then he turned to Kirsi. "Sit down. I just wanted to check on you. Let me know if you want to go home. I'll walk you to the gate." As Kirsi listened to him and sat back down, he looked at Frederick one more time and said goodbye, "Alright. Enjoy the party, you two."

The arrival of the Arcana is like a passing wind. He comes and goes as he pleases. He appeared and disappeared quickly. Kirsi was still processing the visit in her mind. Trying to compare the Evander family she had in her memories with the real thing. She didn't know that the real Kirsi was quite close to her older brother. In the novel, Arcana only appears in a matter of fingers. It is not clear what his nature and behaviour towards Kirsi will be. But seeing how he spoke and the attention to her just now, it seemed that their relationship was quite close.

It is just,

Kirsi looked down. Noticed how her hands were shaking in tremors. Her throat tightened, her breath becoming ragged. Her feet wobbled as all her shins had turned into boiled noodles.

... What is this?

"Madam?"

Kirsi gasped. Frederick's call pulled her back from the pool of confusion. It was a strange body response. It felt exactly the same as when she had been choked by Cedric long ago.

Kirsi buried her hands which were still shaking in her lap, while she started to reorganize her expression and raised her face to answer the worried Frederick. "It's fine for you to wander around by yourself, Sir Frederick. I won't burden you. After all, you came as young master Winslow. Go. I'll go to the host place."

As soon as she finished speaking, she stood up straight away. Contrary to what she said about meeting the hosts, Kirsi left the greenhouse area and looked for a quiet place to throw up.
