25 Chapter 25 What Is This?
"Is that all you could do?" she asked while bloking my kick with one finger.
"Fuck" Grabbing her hand in mid air, I kicked again, but she casually dodged it by tilting her head.

I walked to my classroom to join with the students. As I walked in the hallway, I looked outside the window to see how big of a crack had been formed.

My mind raced as I tried to remember if something like this happened in the novel. Suddenly, I remembered the entity's words as if he were whispering in my head. 'It may end up in a good way, or it may cause utter destruction.'
"FUCK!" I rushed to my classroom. When I entered, I saw the faces of students pale as white paper. They shivered, seeing swarms of flying monsters emerging from the crack.
"Where is the teacher?" I asked Taren as I approached him.
"I don't know; she ran as soon as the crack appeared."
'The safety meeting' I nodded to him. "Calm the students first; we will wait for the teacher to arrive," I asked Taren. As he is the strongest one in the class, the students may hear him out.
'Is this why I feel uneasy from the morning'
I was already getting an uneasy feeling this morning, but after the crack opened, the feeling doubled, and it kept on growing.

Inside a room that looked like a conference room, a middle aged man smashed the desk in front of him in anger.
"What the heck are they doing in the research hall?" Vice Principal Sebastian angrily said. "Shouldn't you already inform us about this?" He looked like a middle aged man dressed in shabby, wrinkled clothes. It looked like the old man hadn't taken a bath for a while.

Vice Principal Sebastian contemplated for a few seconds. "That's concerning; we always prepare beforehand when cracks open. Are you sure our technologies are not malfunctioning?"

We also asked for assistance from the military headquarters and government researchers, and all of them came to the conclusion that either there are abnormalities in demension that connect to other worlds or some powerful entity that can control cracks. But they discarded the latter thought since the government researchers are still researching the cause of the sudden appearance of mana and the cracks."

A holographic screen appeared as Sebastian took the call.
"What is it?" He asked the person on the call who wore black clothes that looked like military uniforms.
"Vice principal Sebastian, we need assistance for monster eradication. Can you send a few intructors?"
"Sorry, if something happens, we need instructors to keep our students safe; they are the future pillars of this world."
"Don't be selfish, Vice Principal Sebastian; you are training the students to become strong and help the world. If you can't help now, what is the use of training the students?" He paused for a second. "Do you think the principal will accept your behavior? And he always said, Always help the people; they are the most important, and that is the symbol of the academy… You don't need to be afraid of the monsters breaking the barrier; they are relatively weak. As he talked about the principal, Sebastian's face changed instantly.

"Who are you?" An instructor was alarmed as he saw a mysterious black figure. Before he could do anything, the figure approached the instructors and opened his mouth wide enough to bite the introductor's head.

"So there is the control room," he mumbled to himself as he absorbed information from the instructors. Taking the headless body, he swallowed it entirely.
A delighted expression formed on his face as he ate the body. "That's tasty."

The figure vanished from the spot and instantly appeared in front of the control room.
BANG
With his punch, the door burst into pieces.
ALARM ALARM
"Oh, the alarms are ringing; guess I need to be fast," he said, slowly looking at the workers with a wide smile. His eyes showed a cruel glint as he started to salivate.

"I will be having a feast"

The figure rushed to one of the workers. With a swift move, the figure gripped the worker's neck and tried to bite his head off, but was stopped by the attacks of the workers.
"Hehe, all of them are rankers. But I don't have the time to enjoy it." Suddenly, the darkness in his body increased, and his hair started to float. With a burst of speed, he vanished from his spot and arrived in front of the guy who stood behind the others in fear.
"You're my last meal." gripping the worker's neck, he raised him. To the worker's horror, all of the others were dead, as large chunks of flesh were missing from them.
Munch
Biting his half of the body, the figure threw it on the ground, where other bodies lay down. In a second, he killed 13 workers by devouring half of their body parts.
"Now, let's destroy the barrier and escape before any higher rankers come."
