Psycho

"What did you say?" the woman asked. Shock colored her voice.

"Right. You can't do that because even if you burn your money on a children's fight, you'll never win." Heaven shrugged nonchalantly, cupping her cheek while keeping her eyes on the woman across from her. "Let's see, so far from my observation, you don't really have a good reputation. Those friends of yours were not really your friends. But people who knew that they would benefit if they stick around you. I've met many people like you, and I know what kind of person you are."

The side of her lips curled up into a smirk, eyelids drooping. Her change of demeanor and the sight of her suddenly sent a wave of dread down the woman's spine, as if she were looking at a psycho at work.

"Meanwhile, I succeeded in painting myself as a humble and decent human being. Even if I hurt you right now, for as long as no one sees it, someone will vouch for my innocence," added Heaven, chuckling with her lips closed. "On the other hand, people will think you hurt yourself just to prove your lies. Don't you know why people's names and reputations are more important than money?"

"It's because a person's reputation will take you farther than your money," she continued. "That is why people whom you can't reach can easily throw money for their reputations. Of course, you wouldn't get it since no matter what you do, you will never reach one of them. You are stuck in that miserable life."

A familiar sound of a hand hitting a face resounded. Heaven's face was tossed to the side as the woman's hand connected to her cheek. The woman was fuming and her face turned red in anger, standing from her seat to shut this woman from talking further.

Those around them couldn't help but gasp at the unfolding scene before them. They all looked at their table. Even the woman's friends were in disbelief at how things went.

'Hah. That stings.' Heaven moved her tongue across her inner cheek. The side of her lips bled as the woman's ring connected with her lower lip.

"How dare a nobody like you say such nonsense? Who do you think you are?" The woman's voice shook in anger. "Do you think you can get away with this? You don't know who I am and what I am capable of doing. I'll make sure you will regret ever crossing me," she promised.

Heaven smacked her lips as she faced the woman once more. She slowly rose from her seat, eyes as cold as ice.

"That is right. I don't know who you are, but that also applies to you. You don't know who I am and what I am capable of doing." Heaven's voice was low and quiet, making sure her words were exclusively for the woman's ears. "You don't know what sort of accident this psycho can do next time. But what I can tell you for sure is it won't be a small one."

Heaven walked around the table to stand beside the woman. "If I were you, you better watch out. Always check the cars around you. You don't know when a truck will run you over."

"I think we're done here. I don't have a thousand with me, but I already allowed you to slap me." Heaven smirked. "That should be a fair trade, right? You know you'll be in deep trouble if I press charges. The Lyon Group isn't fond of scandals and doesn't associate with people who were tangled in one."

Heaven drew her head back, holding the woman's shaking gaze. "I'll take my leave now. May this be our last meeting because the next time I see you, I'll make you cry and teach you what a real bully is. Ciao."

Heaven ended her remarks with a wink, picking up her bags. As soon as she turned around, her eyes immediately brimmed with suppressed tears. She lowered her head as she walked away from the table, giving out the impression she was the victim of oppression.

Meanwhile, as Heaven walked away, the woman's heart was filled with rage and anger. But then she noticed the odd gazes cast upon her. It also looked like they were whispering to each other. And they were not afraid to let them hear what they were thinking, either.

"Gosh. Is she new here? Is it her first time holding money? How can she act as if she owns the world?"

"This is the problem with people with newfound wealth. They think they can do anything just because they got out of poverty."

"Such an uneducated person."

"Is she someone's mistress? How humiliating. That dress doesn't even cost that much."

"It's a good thing the other person had long patience. If I were her, I would've dragged her hair. I don't care if I have to spend my fortune on a legal battle."

"Haha… she isn't even worth it."

"That woman just now looks familiar? I think I've seen her somewhere."

[Ma'am, don't you know why people's names and reputations are more important than money?]

Suddenly, Heaven's words rang in the woman's head. Her hand slowly balled into a tight fist, feeling a little small from the judgemental gaze people cast upon her. All the comments were nitpicking on her as if they knew her. Meanwhile, those onlookers weren't even talking about the other woman (Heaven) who was involved in the fiasco. Even if they mentioned her a few times, all Heaven got was their sympathy.

'That woman… she did it on purpose, did she?' she wondered to herself, looking down as she recalled everything Heaven told her. The latter left a lot of hints, confirming she specifically caused that small accident for a reason the woman has yet to know.

Thinking about it, the anger in the woman's heart was replaced with slight fear. If Heaven purposely caused the accident, she would've anticipated the woman's reaction.

'Did I willingly step into that psycho's trap? Why? What does she want from me to target me?' Myriads of questions flashed across the woman's mind, having this sudden chill down her spine.
