"Is it true? You and my sister… is it true? You're going to divorce?"

Axel panted for air as he looked at his brother with wide eyes. His complexion was still pale, as if he rushed here the second he heard about the news. 

Dominic assessed his little brother for a while and let out a faint sigh. "Yes," he said. "It's true that we've decided to divorce."

"What?" Axel gasped. "Why? What's wrong?"

"Nothing's wrong."

"Impossible!" Axel rushed to the desk, slamming his hands on it. "Bro! Tell me you're joking. That's impossible. You two will never divorce. I mean, you just had Miri! Also, Basti does not want his parents to separate. Come on. You're messing with me, right?"

Axel raised his brows, waiting for his brother to show even the slightest sign it was a mere prank. But alas, Dominic maintained his stoic expression. The dim hope Axel had been clinging to since hearing the divorce slowly shattered the longer his brother's silence was.
