318 [Bonus chapter]The afterparty II

The loud music that could make one's blood pump, the flashing lights, and the electrifying atmosphere filled the afterparty. The crowd was a mix of people from all walks of life, dancing, and socializing, making the most of this party. 

The vibrant energy was contagious, but Paula simply sat lazily in the corner with a blank face. 

Her back had almost fused with the couch, legs stretched out lazily, eyes barely blinking. She was just blank, having no poise or awareness of her surrounding. Her eyes were open, but her mind was just blank. 

Soon, however, the music penetrated the pin-drop silence in her mind, albeit it sounded a little distant. The lively chattering slowly grew audible and after another few seconds, Paula gasped for air as she blinked. 

"Haha!" the first thing she heard loud and clear was everyone's laughter.
