Chapter 10:

Alice pov

His words filled the air and resonate in my heart, I was shocked, to say the least. I knew Matthan had feelings for me but always thought it was just a sudden discovery. Little did I know, he always felt this way towards me. I wasn't sure how to feel about all of this or how I felt about him.

Just then, I caught a glimpse of Jayden in the corner of my eye. He seemed sad but was desperately trying to hold back the way felt. I needed to figure out my feelings for these two young men. I don't want to hurt either of them or worse yet, play with their emotions.

The crowd applauds as Matthan made his way down the stage. I met him halfway," Can we go somewhere alone and talk?"

He nodded his head and asked Jayden to take Dai home. Informing them that we'll be heading out for a bit. We left the two and headed to the car.

10:30 pm at the edge of Gazer Rock

As we pulled up to Gazer Rock, a poorly named sight, but only got its name because it has the best view in all of Monroe Castle. It almost seems like a scene in a movie; two teens pulling up in a 1968 charger while jamming out to a summer's 1985 mix. As they arrive at the most beautiful and possibly most romantic spot in their hometown.

only thing was, one of them wasn't sure about their feelings, yes, she liked the guy sitting next to her. His wild messy hair dancing in the wind, his famous leather jacket clung to his muscles as his black v neck did the same to his chest. His look screamed bad boy, but I knew differently, under that tough persona he puts on he's a sweetheart.

Matthan then looked at me," Something on my face sweetheart?"

I blushed as I got caught staring at him, Matthan chuckled at m reaction," What's on your mind princess."

I sighed," Matthan, I didn't realize how deeply you felt about me until I heard you sing that song. I just don't know if what I feel for you is as deep as what you feel for me and I don't want to hurt you because I don't love you as deeply as you love me."

" Hey, it's okay, don't worry your pretty little head. Love is love, even if you don't love me as much as I love you I'd still have your love. What would tear us apart are expectations, I don't expect anything from you besides to just be you. that's why I love you, and however you choose to show me that you love me I'd appreciate it because that's you sharing a part of you with me."

Matthan grabbed both sides of my face, rubbing his thumb on the cheeks. Our eyes locked and I leaned in, closing the gap between us. His lips pressed against mine, a passion sparked between us as he pulled me over on his lap. My fingers entangled in his hair, as one of his hands strayed away to my legs.

Matthan pulled away, both of us panting," Are you sure it's me you want?"

We gazed into each other's eyes," I know I was hesitant before but as you've said before love is love and all I want to do right now is love you."

Matthan pulled me for another kiss, but this time it was different, it was soft almost delicate-like. He took his time kissing me, savoring me as if I was a sweet forbidden treat. He pulled away, not wanting to get carried away," I want to take my time with you, you're too precious to me to just rush anything with you. I want to make you mine now, but I also want to show you the more gentle side to me. What do you say, Alice, would you go out on a date with me?"

I smiled," I'd love to go out on a date with you."

He gave me another kiss," Friday night, I'll pick you up at 8."

1:15 am Back at Alice Place

I snuck into the house and made my way to my room. I couldn't believe the night I had, Matthan confessing his feelings to me and then asking out, but the most unforgettable thing about tonight was the kiss we shared. The way his lips felt against mine; was so soft.

I fell asleep that night with a huge smile on my face. I couldn't believe that Matthan of people was going to be mine.

Two days later at school

Matthan and I strolled into the school holding hands and all eyes were on us. Everyone knew we were friends but never thought we'd be anything more than just friends. On our way to my locker, we passed a group of girls who shot me a glare.

I looked over to Matthan to see him looking at me with a smirk," Let's give them something to look at princess."

He leaned in and gave me a slow and gentle kiss as he pulled me in closer to him. He bit my button lip as he slowly pulled away and continued to walk me to my locker. Just then, we saw Dai and Jayden leaning against our lockers waiting for us.

" We're so dead," I told Matthan.

" I wouldn't say that. I told Dai everything last night."

" She was up?"

" She was waiting on me to come home last night. So when I entered my room, she was sitting on the bed in the dark like a freaking creep. She started interrogating me and I told her what happened."

I giggled," She's not a creep, she just wanted to make sure she was in the loop. Besides, we're all she has; for us to exclude her, is a low blow. I know there would be times we would need our alone time, but let's not forget Dai."

He sighed," You're right, plus she's great to be around; when she's not being creepy that is."

I giggled as we approached Jayden and Dai," Hey guys."

" Hey, so you Matt are finally together huh?" Dai teased, I blushed and I couldn't help but notice Jayden. He seemed sad but did his best to seem happy, just then Matthan went over to him and they started to talk.

" Yeah, he asked me out on a date."

" So when are you guys going out?"

" Friday, can you help me get ready?"

Dai jumped up and down out of excitement," I'd love to, but can we just hang out together just the two of us before that?"

" You read my mind, how about we have a sleepover at my place tonight."

" Sounds like a plan, I'll just let my mom know."

12:30 pm

As we walked through the cafeteria, Rhonda started talking loudly as we passed her table," She's such a slut, first, she has Jayden wrapped around her finger and now she's dating Matthan?"

Matthan was about to say something but Jayden beat him to it," You must be the biggest slut of all Rhonda. After all, you have partly the whole football team fighting for your attention. What's two compared to a team?"

Rhonda couldn't say anything and we continued to head towards our table.

"Won't confronting her like that cause a rip in your friendship? Plus, she also has dirt on you as well." Dai questioned, we all looked at Jayden a bit concerned.

" She was out of line and needed a reminder, whatever dirt Rhonda has on me are just small things that won't matter in the future."

We looked at Jayden a bit concerned, he wore a cold expression as if something in him had snapped. I knew it wasn't because of me; but I'm guessing he just had enough of Rhonda's shit.

I looked over at Rhonda's table; she was glaring over at ours. I gave her a fake smile and waved at her as I wondered; what happened to her? She used to be the sweetest girl, now she's the biggest bitch.
