Chapter 20: Bad Rumors? Let it be
I walk into Brother's garden.
"Lady Luciana, why are you here?" His attendant ask me.
"I want to meet brother Xav." I said.
"He is in the garden. Please follow me Lady Luciana." He lead us to brother's garden. I don't actually think that this is a garden because there is barely any flower in here. It's full of rocks and stone and pebbles. They are arrange and design. It looks beautiful, I prefer it to call Rock Garden. It's much more beautiful and it really describes the garden. Sigh, I'm so genius.
"Lucy, why are you here?" He ask me, sitting in the grass.
"Brother Xav, would you like to have a tea with me?" I said pulling him up from the grass. Not waiting for his respond I pull him to go to my quarters.
"I will say yes, no need to pull me." He chuckle. I pout at him.
"Brother Xav, I already know that that's why I pull you with me." I reason before sipping my tea.
"Hmmm, this tea taste great." Hs drink the tea.
"Of course, duh, my maid Annie made it. She is one of my maid so it's normal that they are like me-The best, but I am the best of the best." I lifted my chin arrogantly.
"Sister, are you praising yourself or the maid?" He ask me.
"Both."
"How is tutor Sarah?"
"She is great. I met her in a vendor." I tell him.
"What happens then?" He curiously ask.
"It click. She like me and she becomes my tutor." I answer him. I don't want to tell him the whole story because I don't want tutor Sarah to be ridicule. She is being scam and a child save her, if I said that then it will look like I am disrespecting my tutor.
"That's it? Why do people even-"
"Brother, sister!" Lily cut brother.
"Lily, its rude to enter a someone's territory without their consent." Brother reprimands Lily.
"I'm sorry! I just want to invite you guys in going to town!" She said cheerfully.
"We are having a tea-"
"Its great." I cut brother.
"Okay, I'll come with you." Brother said.
I just agree to Lily because I have a hint that I will see a sight and that she is planning something. This will be fun!
I change my clothing to a plain one. The design is plain but the fabric is made of silk.
I get into the carriage with my sister and brother. After arriving we first go into a bakery to eat, it was my suggestion and they agree.
We sit in a table near the door. Brother order for me saying that I should try what he orders. I am sitting there waiting for our food when my ear catches a gossip.
"You heard it?"
"What is it?"
"They say that Lady Luciana is spoiled brat and bad. Tsk."
"Oh that, I don't believe it."
"I don't also believe it but how are we sure that it's not true?"
I glance at the other table. I watch as they talk to each other with interest.
"And how are we sure that it's true?" The woman ask.
"Ohhh I also heard that she is so ugly. Lady Lily is much more beautiful than her."
So there is a rumor about me huh.
After we go into town we go back home. I go to my room to change clothes again.
"Miss, Sella and Marie are back."Nana reported to me.
I nod towards her. "Tell them to come to my study." I go to my study and sit in the big boss chair. I feel like a CEO in here, hahahaha.
"Miss we are back."Sella said.
"Report." I tell them as Nana serves me a strawberry milk.
"I like this. Always serve me this." I said after taking a sip at the milk. It's really good! Its sweet with a little bit sour taste on it, it's also healthy.
"There are rumors about you miss and they are all bad." Sella said.
"Example." I said. I want to test if they will lie to me or said a truth about it.
"They say that you are ugly, miss. They also said that you are stupid and that Lily is more beautiful than you. There are many others miss. They also said that Lily is the best." Marie said.
"How dare them!" I shouted. I am fine till I hear that Lily is the best. How dare them! I am irritated but I can control myself.
"Miss those people are all idiot. You are the best of the best miss."
"Yes miss. You are so beautiful that even a flower can't compete with you."
"Miss, they are blind."
"The roots of it?" I ask Sella and Marie.
"Its Lily miss." Both Sella and Marie said.
"I knew it." I sigh.
"Should we stop the rumor miss?"
"No, why stop it. Just let it be, let it be so lively so that I can slap them so hard. The livelier the harder the slap." I sip at my strawberry milk. "But I won't let Lily off."
"What should we do miss?"
"Rest and Relax. I'll let someone do it."I finish drinking the strawberry milk. "Let's see if she is loyal." I whisper.
"Miss your parents..."
"I think they don't know. It's okay, I can handle this. It's only a few months till my debut, I will show them who is Luciana Celestia Eclipse Harvort. The..."
"The Best of the best."
"The most beautiful one."
"The prodigy."
"The genius one."
They trail after me, praising me. They are right, all those description only lead to one word, or should I say phrase-The Best of the Best.
No one can understand me because I am the best of the best and they all treat me like a princess. I will show those people who they are describing, and they should describe me right!
