29 Chapter 29: Another Challengers

"Okay, that's enough, I admit defeat. You're a monster, boy"

Garp couldn't hold back any longer. The intense fight left him winded at his age. No matter how hard he attacked Luo Ning, the kid didn't even flinch. After hours of fighting, Garp gave up.

Luo Ning didn't seem interested in killing anyone. At worst, Garp figured he'd just have to lie there for a while.

"admits defeat, that's all that matters," Luo Ning said, turning to the Vice Admirals. "You guys, fight me one-on-one, or admit defeat!"

Luo Ning's challenge made the Vice Admirals roll their eyes. They saw Garp's bruised and swollen face. Who wanted to get beat up like that?

"We admit defeat," Aokiji said flatly. He wasn't about to fight Luo Ning and risk further injury.

The other Vice Admirals followed suit. This way, Luo Ning gained a surprising amount of freedom.

"See? Admitting defeat works," Luo Ning said with satisfaction. But two figures stood out from the crowd, disagreeing with this turn of events.

"Hold on," Gion shouted, "I'm not done yet! You hurt Aokiji and beat Garp, but I won't go down without a fight!"

The Admiral candidate, a skilled swordswoman, drew her kinpira, determined to fight.

"Me neither!" Tokikake joined in, vowing to follow Gion's lead.

"Two challengers, that's fine too," Luo Ning smirked, "but I'm tired, so you'll have to fight my clones."

With a thought, Luo Ning conjured two perfect copies of himself.

But what he did made Gion and Tokikake feel bad.

"Don't look at me with such vicious eyes," Luo Ning chuckled. "Hours of fighting Garp takes a toll. These clones have my powers, but weaker. Think of it as a handicap match."

Splitting the power between the clones weakens them a bit. But even Admiral replacements like them two shouldn't be much trouble

"Then I'll fight you after I cut off your clone!"

Momousagi wasn't having it. She zipped forward with a Six Styles Shave and slashed at one of the clones.

Clang!

A loud clang echoed as the blade met resistance.

"Looks like you underestimated them," Luo Ning laughed. Even with a weaker clone, Momousagi's attack couldn't break through.

"Ugh!" Momousagi's face burned with frustration. Tokikake flushed too, embarrassed his initial dismissal of the clones was proven wrong.

Both Momousagi and Tokikake found their attacks useless against the clones' defenses.

Meanwhile, Luo Ning found a clear patch of ice, conjured chairs and tables with his power, and dug into a feast he imagined.

The cracked ice creaked underfoot, a constant reminder of their earlier fight. Thankfully, Aokiji kept patching it up, otherwise they'd be out in the freezing water.

"What's this kid's power exactly?" Garp squinted at Luo Ning, who'd conjured an entire spread of food and furniture out of nowhere. He grumbled, stomach growling, but have nothing.

Usually, Garp wouldn't hesitate even after a beatdown. But this was different. While Luo Ning hadn't killed any Marines, the near-useless Onigumo still annoyed him.

Seeing Momousagi and Tokikake being beaten by two clones, Garp felt a little helpless. To be honest, after fighting for such a long time, his physical exertion was also very serious, and he was indeed hungry now.

But Momousagi and the others were still fighting, so naturally he couldn't just pat his butt and go find something to eat.

He was even more curious about Luo Ning's ability. Why were there so many special abilities? He tried to see something, but how could someone who didn't understand the nature of a Visionary's ability see through it?
