27 Chapter 27: Onlyfists

"Are you really going to fight the Marines forever?" Garp scowled.

"I'm not dead, no? Did I kill any of you? You came here to kill me, right? All I did was cripple the guy who planned to end me. Leaving them alive is practically showing mercy."

"As for the rest of you, I'm not interested in killing you, but a little nap here wouldn't hurt."

Luo Ning offered a smile. While disgusted by the Marines, he wasn't bloodthirsty. Of course, if they kept insisted on making troubles, he wouldn't hold back.

He would do what he wanted.

Luo Ning made his move, but Garp's reflexes were lightning fast. In terms of pure physical skill, even the Admirals couldn't match him. Their main strength came from Devil Fruit.

While not weak otherwise, they couldn't compare to Garp, a master of physical combat. Garp's Observation Haki was always active, and his Armament Haki was arguably peak among pirates.

Maybe age has caught up to him, but his fighting skills haven't gotten that much worse.

Bullet's a good example. The movies made it seem like he was weak, but that's not true. He's actually gotten stronger, not weaker. So, Luffy didn't really beat him that badly.

Even with all the help, they only wore Bullet down, draining his stamina and Haki. They didn't do any real damage.

Whitebeard, on the other hand, is still a force to be reckoned with even though he's gotten weaker.

"The strength of this fist is worthy of the person who hammered down two generations of pirates, although it is somewhat weak"

Garp and Luo Ning traded punches, the power way beyond what Aokiji and others could manage. Garp boasts of taking down two pirates eras, but some say it's exaggerated. Rocks' defeat involved both him and Roger.

Roger's crew was supposedly pushed to the brink by Garp multiple times, but the details are unclear, and Roger did surrender in the end.

Garp's strength might be misleading, but the author wouldn't hype him up for nothing. We'll likely see his true power later. Don't underestimate him, this exchange proves he's no simple.

Garp fumes. "Weak? You wanna taste this old man's weak fist then?!" He might be past his prime, but that doesn't mean he's weak!

Armed fists slammed into Luo Ning again and again. He couldn't help but imagined a man of steel with bizarre powers.

Outside the prison walls, the clash of two terrifying fighters caused the ground to crumble.

"Ice Age!"

Aokiji's eyes widened at the fight. The two were going all out, and the prison walls were at risk of collapsing. Water flooding in would be a disaster.

With a swift move, Aokiji froze the surrounding sea, effectively sealing off any leaks.

Although the pain gnawed at him, hindering his fighting ability, but it didn't stop him from using such a trick.

"Smart move, Garp, fighting on the ice!" Luo Ning darted across the battlefield, reaching the frozen surface just as Garp charged after him.

"Finger Pistol!"

Garp, a master of the Six-Styles, didn't rely on flashy techniques like Lucci. His style was pure, direct attacks.

And devastatingly powerful.

But Garp wasn't facing just anyone - Luo Ning's steel body shrugged off the attack entirely. He stood his ground, unflinching. Garp mirrored him, his whole body clad in Armament Haki, transforming him into a living weapon of iron.

Garp's mastery of Armament Haki is undeniable. Emission, the technique he employs, is simply a way to focus Haki for different purposes. It doesn't change the core power itself.

While Garp's Haki is fearsome, his internal and external attacks prove ineffective against Luo Ning. Unlike most, Luo Ning's steel body extends to his entire being, organs included. This impenetrable defense renders Garp's Haki useless, unable to bypass the ironclad exterior.

Impel Down's "free points" undeniably boosted Luo Ning to a frightening level. His combined physical prowess and strange powers make him a formidable opponent.

Garp, despite his current resistance, can't hold out for long. Haki drains with stronger attacks, leaving him vulnerable. This isn't a movie with outrageous portrayals like Bullet's giant Haki-infused form or Luffy's massive Gear Fourth techniques. Luffy's Haki reserves wouldn't allow such feats for extended periods – that's movie magic, not reality. Just enjoy the spectacle, but don't take them as the norm.
