34 Chapter 34: Compass & East Blue

"I actually got this thing!"

Looking at the compass in his hand, Luo Ning didn't know whether he was lucky or not.

The compass in his hand is actually quite famous – it's an enhanced version of Jack Sparrow's compass. This compass can be used to pinpoint the things a person desires most deeply. It will point in the direction of people or treasures that hold great significance to the holder's heart.

This enhanced compass transcends the limitations of the One Piece world. Unlike Jack's compass, it provides a clearer direction. As long as the owner, Luo Ning, focuses on something he desires, the compass will invariably point in that direction. In essence, it's a more powerful version of the one Jack possesses.

While Luo Ning hadn't gained any direct power-up, this compass was incredibly useful for him.

Sailing the seas is no easy feat in the One Piece world. In the four seas, regular charts can get you by. But once you hit the Grand Line, a permanent pointer is essential.

This compass lets Luo Ning track down whatever he needs, making it a valuable tool in his adventures.

"Yeah, it's a good thing"

Tucking the compass away, Luo Ning cleaned himself up and left the room. It was a spare room in the this big prison, his living quarters before the villa was built.

News about Luo Ning hadn't gone public yet. While the Marines sent a lot of fighters, only those inside the Marines and Impel Down knew about the battle.

Of course, with so many people involved, it's only a matter of time before word gets out. Morgans will probably break the story in a few days. Then, the whole mess with Luo Ning, the Marines, and Impel Down will likely be all over the news.

Luo Ning didn't mind, though. He knew what he was getting into. He'd already provoked the Marines and World Government, so a little gossip wasn't going to faze him.

Besides, he planned to leave for now. The villa wasn't built yet, and he wasn't used to the big prison. He might as well head out and try to find Nami and the others on his way.

Since Luffy hasn't set sail yet, let's cut off the girl first.

After all, he's just a normal guy, and it's natural to be attracted to pretty girls.

Besides, with this pointer, finding someone shouldn't be a problem, right?

Soon, Luo Ning found Magellan. Though he could fly, being alone was boring. He figured he might as well ask Magellan to prepare a a ship for the trip.

Magellan felt helpless when he heard this. He had no choice but to comply.

Soon, some jailers were dispatched to help Luo Ning sail the ship.

There are still many things Luo Ning needs to handle in the prison. After all, he killed all the beasts in the Wild Beast Hell on the second floor.

The same goes for the army wolves on the fifth floor. Now they need to redeploy manpower to guard those areas.

However, the prisoners are behaving themselves. This is mainly due to Luo Ning scaring them straight, and it's the only thing keeping Magellan at ease.

"Mr. Luo Ning, where to next?"

A jailer officer approached Luo Ning after the warship left Impel Down. Even though Luo Ning wasn't officially part of the prison, he'd basically taken control, forcing even the Marines to cooperate.

The officer spoke respectfully, not wanting to provoke Luo Ning.

"East Blue!" Luo Ning declared. His hand held a pointer, but for now it wasn't needed to find East Blue, only Nami.

"Understood!" The officer replied before leaving. Luo Ning remained on deck, basking in the sun.

Reaching East Blue from Impel Down required crossing the Grand Line. The prison itself resided in the Calm Belt, teeming with Sea Kings. Thankfully, the Marines' warship was well-equipped.

Seastone on the warship's hull deterred Sea King attacks, and its power source allowed it to navigate the Calm Belt with ease. Compared to others, entering or leaving the Grand Line from the four seas was a much more perilous journey. It involved traversing treacherous paths like Reverse Mountain, where one wrong move could be fatal.

The warship sailed towards Enies Lobby's Gate of Justice, the fastest and safest route.

News reached Naval Headquarters about Luo Ning's actions.

"He left Impel Down already? Didn't he say he wanted to stay there?" Sengoku frowned upon receiving the report. Just yesterday Luo Ning claimed Impel Down as his new home, yet here he was, leaving today.

Learning it was a temporary departure, Sengoku's expression worsened. "Are you sure where he's headed...? Alright, I understand." Sengoku ended the call after securing key details.

"What's he doing in East Blue?" Sengoku pondered. Why would Luo Ning go there? East Blue offered nothing seemingly attractive to him.

"That kid's got strange ways," Garp chimed in, having overheard the entire conversation. "Who knows what he's up to in East Blue. As long as he doesn't cause trouble for us, let him be!"
