Reviews of I Swear I’m not a Hero [ A Cyberpunk fan fic]

Shameless author review… I know I know how cliché. Got to get the Ratings up somehow…

It is great. Author did great so far at putting both emotion and meshing characters well into the story so far. Nothing feels particularly forced. Story development is going good so far. If you want something to improve on i‘d suggest combat. It was great last time, I just mildly remember getting confused about what happened when the final big boss bad guy entered the scene. It had something to do with a shipping container I think but maybe I just was reading it wrong yk. Sometimes that happens yk.

It was already good before(when it had chapters). But then the author decided to rewrite the novel TWO TIMES because somebody gave him a bad review. I think the author needs to know that it is impossible to please everyone Asap

Great take on Cyberpunk the story is interesting, and I enjoy how the MC isn't someone who has prior knowledge of the world. To me this helps the character interactions and plot feel fresh and new (nothing wrong with how others write their Cyberpunk stories just something I liked) as Damien (MC) starts off somewhere other than Night City and the story builds up to known territory leading me to look forward to what the author has planned for the future I certainly encourage others to give it a read

Love how the MC does not immediately mesh with the Cyberpunk main characters, and is more of a solo.... samaritan?

I can only recommend this, this is my favorite cyberpunk ff now. MC also ist overly op (or at least you don't notice it that much) which is nice

its a great novel. it has a likeable mc, good plot flow nothing feels too rushed, romance isn't rushed, no character is 2D, grammar is acceptable, only first chapter has bad grammar

It's a good and heartwarming fanfic . .

This story is different from the other Cyberpunk stories in that there is no transmigration or reincarnation into the universe. The MC lives here in this universe with a system that doesn't really hold his hand all that much, only really giving him very basic stats (body,reflexes,Intel) he can upgrade and quests he can earn points from. There's no I got reincarnated let's take advantage of the story BS this dude is just living his day to day life with a system that is encouraging/incentivising him being a hero with it's missions and it's really enjoyable to read about. I like it since he'll be a very different Merc from all the others that are already in the world with his mindset and the types of jobs he'll be taking. I eagerly await each new update to see what's next in the MCs journey.
