7 The Elder Relic That Brings Good Fortune

"Ah!"

"Ah!"

"Ah!"

Loud, high-pitched cries of a woman echoed through the bedroom.

Henry rested his hands on top of those plump breasts, his palms pinched the areolas hard.

The lower body sprinted and fired, and the two of them were tightly combined together, enjoying the pleasure between man and woman.

But this scene was somewhat unfriendly to Emily, who was sitting in the living room.

"Damn it, why does this always happen to me every time I come here?"

"As two excellent hidden class players, don't they have anything else to do?"

Emily had just turned 17 this year and was currently single.

However, as a normal woman with needs, hearing such sounds made her restless.

"Damn it, damn it!"

Emily felt herself getting wet and quickly pulled out tissues from the living room to wipe herself clean.

This torment continued for another two hours before finally dissipating.

Looking at the seven or eight crumpled tissues in the trash can, Emily, with a flushed face, got up from the sofa.

She went to the door of Henry's bedroom and knocked gently.

"Mr. Henry, are you done with your business? I have something important to discuss with you."

"Come in."

Henry's lazy voice came through the door, and Emily quickly opened the door and entered.

Inside the room, the two people were still not fully dressed, with Anna clinging to Henry like a koala.

Fortunately, they had considered Emily's feelings and covered themselves with a blanket.

Even so, through the dim light under the blanket, Anna's full breasts could be seen.

Emily couldn't bear to look directly and lowered her head to speak.

"Yesterday, I contacted a merchant interested in buying the spoils we obtained. He's willing to take them, but at 80% of the price."

"After all, they deal in cash transactions. Of course, if Mr. Henry is willing to wait, we could take these items to an auction house. We would get more money, but it would take much longer to receive it."

Henry thought for a moment and then said,

"There's no need for that trouble, we'll just trade directly with the merchant."

Losing ten to twenty percent of the profit was regrettable, but for Henry, with his rewards magnified a hundredfold, he could easily acquire valuable equipment in various dungeons.

Compared to that, cash was what he needed more at the moment. With money, he could move out of this townhouse to a larger villa with a yard.

"Then, once you two are dressed, we can go meet the merchant?" Emily said.

Henry was about to agree, but Anna interrupted.

"What's the rush? It's only 9 a.m., we have plenty of time. Let's do something else before that."

Henry was about to ask what she meant when he felt a soft hand grasp his lower body, causing a small mound to rise under the blanket.

This scene was also caught by Emily, who swallowed hard and stammered,

"Then I'll wait for you in the living room until you're finished."

Emily quickly opened the door and ran out.

In the bedroom, Henry looked at Anna, puzzled.

"My dear, aren't you already exhausted? Why continue?"

Anna's sly eyes revealed an indescribable depth of emotion.

"Isn't this creating an opportunity for you? After a few such awkward encounters, Emily will be less resistant to these matters."

"Then, winning her over will be a piece of cake for you."

Henry nodded, as if suddenly enlightened.

"So, do we continue now?"

"My waist is almost broken after those two hours, do you still want to torture me?"

"Well, I don't care, you woke the dragon, now you have to make it go back to its lair."

"Ah! Don't come in, be gentle, it hurts!"

"Ah!"

"Ah!"

Their crystal-clear dialogue fell unerringly on Emily's ears.

Then she heard a sound of indescribable decay.

"Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!"

Emily looked at the nearly empty tissue box on the dining table, her heart wailing.

About an hour later, the three finally left the house.

Led by Emily, they effortlessly found the black market trader's location.

"What equipment do you plan to sell?"

Each had significant gains from the dungeon.

Anna brought out a set of bronze-tier armor she no longer needed, and Emily produced a one-time-use silver-tier bracelet.

Henry pondered over his possessions and decided to sell two items.

The first was the silver-tier set he got on his first dungeon expedition.

In the Zombie Village, he had acquired a more powerful set, dominated by black armor.

The second item he planned to sell was the Elder Relic he obtained in the Zombie Village.

According to the item's description, possessing it would attract the attention of a mysterious figure in the dungeon, with a chance of bringing good fortune.

However, Henry thought about the events in the dungeon and suspected it might belong to Algado, the one who had hanged the entire village.

This so-called luck could very well turn into misfortune.

After much deliberation, he decided to sell the item.

Anna and Emily were puzzled to see Henry selling this item, but he didn't explain much to them.

He feared that mentioning Algado's name might frighten them.

From this trade, Henry earned a total of 89 gold coins.

Seeing this substantial sum, he couldn't help but shake his head.

In a world where awakeners and civilians coexist, 35 gold coins was roughly the annual income of a civilian family.

And here he was, having earned the equivalent of two years' income for a civilian family just by venturing into the dungeon twice.

The earning speed of an awakener was indeed unimaginable.

Anna and Emily also made a decent profit.

Just as the trio was joyfully planning to find a restaurant for a meal, the door of the black market trader's place suddenly opened.

In came a man with sea-blue hair, dressed in simple, coarse clothes, his physique robust.

Following him were several others, likely members of his squad, just like him.

Upon seeing the man, Emily's gaze flickered, her emotions rapidly fluctuating, clearly recognizing him from the past.

"Emily, what are you doing here?"

Hearing the man's question, a surge of anger rose in Emily's heart, and she responded coolly,

"What I do is none of your business, Leonard."

The man, addressed as Leonard, spoke mockingly,

"Looks like these are your new team members, huh? A bunch of unlucky souls, stuck with an experience black hole like you. Maybe they'll also suffer like we did, nurturing you for half a year, only to see you level up twice."

"Lucky for us, we realized it early enough, otherwise we'd still be grinding in low-level awakener dungeons."

Emily clenched her fists tightly, her body trembling involuntarily.

She still remembered her naive, enthusiastic self, joining the team full of passion, only to be cruelly abandoned due to slow leveling.

These were her former teammates.

"Emily, you're not thinking of fighting us, are you? Don't forget your current level."

Leonard and his team members burst into laughter.

"You!"

Emily was about to retort but was stopped by Henry.

Henry looked indifferently at the higher-level awakeners before him and spoke slowly,

"Now, I'll give you a chance. You can leave your team captain and join my squad. Who's willing?"

Leonard snorted,

"Kid, are you dreaming? My teammates are my brothers-in-arms. Why would they abandon me to join your team, especially when you're just a low-level awakener?"

Henry spoke with a hint of amusement,

"Oh, brothers-in-arms, is that so?"

"One thing I should tell you – those who follow me get a tenfold return on their earnings in the final battle settlement."

Suddenly, the atmosphere in the black market trader's shop tensed.
