95 Chapter 95

Chapter 95: Three Parties

Generally, to capture a mermaid, you can only do so in two places. One is Fish-Man Island, when they're on the shore.

The second is near Sabaody Island, where occasionally curious children can't resist feeling the "real sunshine" on the sea surface.

After all, the sunlight on Fish-Man Island is delivered by the Sun Tree Eve, and their yearning for true sunlight is something ordinary people can't understand. This is likely one of the reasons for the name "Sun Pirates."

Adrian speculated that Camie might have been bound by passing human traffickers in the nearby waters. "Artoria, can you sense Camie's presence?"

Artoria closed her eyes and concentrated for a moment. Then she replied, "No, maybe she's too far away."

"What should we do, Boss?"

"Go to the unlawful zone. Judging by the price of mermaids... regular slave traders probably can't even afford a deposit. To fetch a higher price, the traffickers will most likely take Camie to the auction house. Let's go there directly and intercept them!"

The situation was sudden, and Adrian and the others immediately headed towards the direction of GR1. The people they encountered on the way didn't show much surprise.

It was just Adrian running around wildly; there was nothing too strange about that.

On the other side, Mr. 3 reached out and took the three sheets of paper that Mr. 13, the little sea otter, handed him.

One sheet depicted Adrian and the others grilling fish together, one showed a fish-man carrying Camie, and the third showed three people trying to stuff Camie into a bag.

"What? The mermaid has been captured by someone?" Mr. 3 slapped the drawings onto the table; this was a situation completely beyond his expectations.

"Was she captured before meeting her target... wait a minute!" Mr. 5 noticed a loophole. He pointed to the picture where the fish-man was carrying Camie, "The location where the fish-man appeared is the coastline of GR49. How did you spot her while being monitored by GR59?"

Mr. 13 and Miss Friday turned their heads in opposite directions. Did they really need to tell him that they got distracted watching them grill fish, then flew away to catch fish further away, and just happened to see it?

Mr. 3 said, "That doesn't matter. Do you know their route of action? Let's go and intervene right away. We might still make it in time!"

The little sea otter picked up a sketchbook and quickly drew an overhead view of the Sabaody Archipelago, marking the traffickers' landing point and direction on the map.

Mr. 3 said, "We're going there immediately. Mr. 13 and Miss Friday, keep observing their movements. If anything changes, notify us right away!"

Following Mr. 3's orders, the vulture picked up the little sea otter and flapped its wings to depart.

"The opponents are fish-men rumored to have strength ten times that of humans. Don't be careless." Mr. 3 raised his hand, and a small glob of wax flew up from his hand, quickly forming into the shapes of three fish-men before melting away.

"Ahahaha, I wonder if ten times strength can lift ten thousand kilograms?" Miss Valentine laughed heartily. As a Devil Fruit user, she was quite self-confident.

Mr. 5 pushed his sunglasses, "My explosions don't care about the strength of the enemy."

The three of them headed towards the direction of the auction house.

About an hour later, GR8. Adrian saw three fish-men, one of them carrying a struggling bag.

All three of them were in slight disguises. Unless looked at closely, it wouldn't be apparent that they were fish-men. Although it looked quite mismatched, unusual-looking people were everywhere around here, so it wasn't a big issue.

This place was a bit far from the bustling area, and there was an abandoned large house nearby.

None of the people present knew that this had originally been Peterman's base, the same Peterman who Adrian had captured for a bounty exchange, and later Rear Admiral Kadar had killed him, the human trafficker.

One of the fish-men spoke, "Hey, kid, it's better not to stand in the middle of the road if there's nothing going on, it's annoying."

Adrian gripped his sword hilt, "Step aside, and please release my friend."

Probably sensing Adrian's voice, Camie struggled even harder inside the bag. But because her mouth was sealed, all she could emit were muffled "wooh wooh wooh" sounds.

The leading fish-man laughed heartily, "Friend? Mwahahaha! What are you talking about? This is our precious merchandise!"

Just then, Adrian noticed the red sun tattoo on the three fish-men's bodies. "You guys are Sun Pirates? Does Jinbe allow you to do this?"

This didn't make sense. Why would the Sun Pirates be involved in kidnapping mermaids? But Artoria had already confirmed that the bag contained Camie.

"Hmph, don't bring up that name. We, the Macro Pirates, joined the pirate crew only because we admired Big Brother Tiger. That guy Jinbe isn't fit to be our captain!" Macro expressed disdain towards Jinbe, completely disregarding the reputation of the Seven Warlords.

"That's right, that guy is just a lackey of the World Government!" Macro's subordinate, Gyaro, chimed in.

"If it weren't for Big Brother Tiger handing the pirate crew over to him, we definitely wouldn't spare him!" Another subordinate, Tansui, said.

Adrian looked at them speechlessly. What's your self-confidence made of? Could you give me a few milligrams? Were they relying on being fish-men, thinking that Jinbe wouldn't have the heart to kill them?

And these human traffickers had the audacity to mock others as lackeys of the World Government?

"Each of you, be careful not to harm Camie." Once Adrian knew their background, there wasn't much to say to them. He held his sword and charged forward. He was quite curious about the fighting abilities of these three fish-men.

Artoria and Rui Mengmeng also sprang into action, although Artoria was a bit distracted. Was someone watching them from the shadows, or was this just a coincidence?

Only Tom remained in place. With each of them being occupied, what about the cat?

"Since that's the case, it wouldn't hurt to capture a few humans as well." Macro put down Camie and advanced with his two subordinates.

Adrian faced off against Gyaro, who used a sword in his battle. Gyaro's eyes bulged out, resembling some sort of goldfish fish-man. "Goldfish Fencing: Thrust!"

Clang! Adrian parried Gyaro's longsword with his own, because of size differences, Gyaro's sword was longer and heavier than Adrian's. Moreover, this guy had quite a bit

  of strength.

But for Adrian, it was more like, "Is this ten times strength?"

This feeling was normal. After all, Adrian had become someone who could swing lamp posts around like regular sticks. He was no longer an ordinary person.

And when he heard the other two fish-men shout their techniques:

"Fish-Man Karate: 300 Tile True Punch !"

"Fish-Man Karate: 500 Tile True Punch!"

These guys were probably at the same level as Arlong Pirates' officers, weaklings who could use their most powerful attack. Their power probably couldn't match even Jinbe's basic attack.

The fish-man Gyaro, who was fighting Adrian, actually felt a bit uneasy upon hearing Adrian's words. They generally didn't like to bring up the ten times strength thing, as it wasn't something they were proud of discussing. Although it was considered an innate advantage in the Grand Line, it wasn't something to boast about.

Only the Arlong Pirates and those fish-men who bullied the villagers in the East Blue were ignorant and constantly boasted about it.
