47 Trouble

"Char, what are we going to do to him?" Anne asked Char after treating her wound.

They had brought healing potions and some bandages just in case they got injured, no one knew what could happen in the hunting ground and they did not want to take a chance.

"We can't kill him, even though he is despicable and already took many people's score, it still would not justify our action," he shook his head.

"Should he report him? With his method, he would get punished by the academy!" she suggested.

"No, you might not see his face since he can't be recognized, but he is one of the people in the top of the second class, the academy will forgive him for his potential since they always favor those with potential," he said bitterly.

"Then we're just going to leave him unpunished?" she asked dourly.

"The fuck? She didn't think beating him up is enough? This girl is too vengeful!" he mused.

"Then, let's take all of his belongings and leave him tied on a tree, he can summon his creature to untie himself when he regains consciousness. Without weapons he will be forced to leave the hunting ground and end up in the lowest class," he told her.

"Fine, that's good enough I guess," she sighed.

Char did not know that Anne secretly wished that some wild creatures would find the unconscious guy and eat him.

It would not be their fault if the boy got eaten by a wild creature while being unconscious.

"By the way, Anne summons your Imp and kills that kobold, I told my skeleton not to kill it so you will get the scores, I think it should make up for what I took from you," he told the girl.

"Yeah! You owe me some scores!" she remembered about her current abysmal score.

Mana gathered, and the imp appeared by her side. It looked as strong as always. After its evolution, it became macular.

But when it looked at Char, it shrunk a bit. It still remembered the boy cutting its head with no warning.

Killing the limbless kobold was a walk in the park for the imp. It only needed a single kick to break its head open.

"Wow! That's so much!" Anne exclaimed as she looked at her scores.

"How much do you get?" Char asked in interest. He had suspected that she would get a lot but her reaction made him curious.

"I get almost double my previous scores!" she told him.

It was a lot of scores considering they only hunt for higher-level creatures and met a lot of them in the past few days.

Since Char had more scores than Anne before he took her scores, that made him have more scores than the girl.

"What should we do now? Continue hunting?" she asked.

"Let's rest for a while, your wound has not recovered fully, my body is also sore because of this guy," he said.

Char had healed his broken bones with his magic but he was not daring enough to heal his bruise, he did not want to end up with cancer after a mishap with his healing.

"Upgrading the magic has its downside, now that I can use it to reconstruct in addition to healing, it's too risky to use," he lamented.

They were still resting when they felt a familiar quake on the ground. They did not talk as to not attract the source, but they exchanged a knowing glance.

"Orcs! Damn, we forgot about it because of this fool's ambush," he lamented.

"Anne, wait here, I'm going to check how many orcs are in this group, if we can handle them, then I will call for you," he whispered.

She nodded to him. She knew that the fewer people they sent for an ambush, the lower the chance of them being discovered.

Char snuck toward the supposed group of Orcs. He hid behind a tree and peered at them. He found tens of orcs instead of a few of them.

"Shit! There are too many of them!" he lamented, but his shock did not stop there.

A bigger Orc appeared in his line of sight, it had red skin instead of pink skin like the rest; it had a giant war ax instead of a club.

"Knight tier Orc berserker!" he lost his breath from the shock.

Beating a single knight-tier creature would be hard for him and Anne even though they work together. With the addition of thirty orcs, their chance of winning was abysmal!.

He was about to return to Anne and told her that they needed to run when a big earthquake shook the whole hunting ground.

"What the fuck is happening?!" he got alarmed but did not miss the chance. He ran back since the earthquake also attracted the orcs' attention.

Once he reached the girl, he took her hand and pulled her running with him.

"Char! What happened?!" she asked in a panic.

"There are thirty orcs, including one knight tier orc! There is something strange happening here, there should not be any knight-tier creature here at the edge of the hunting ground! We need to get out as soon as possible!" he explained while running.

They run to an opening of the forest only to run into a group of a dozen orcs, "Shit! There are more of them!" they turned to the left and continued running with the group of orcs hot on their heels.

"Char! We need to call for the teacher, we will die at this rate!" she exclaimed.

He agreed with her and pulled his hand, but he could only curse as the ever-present green light on the tracking device was nowhere to be found, only a red light could be seen.

"Fuck! The tracking device is not working! There must be something happening here!. We can only depend on ourselves to get out of this place!" he lamented.

"Char there is a cave!" Anne pointed to the side.

"Let's go there!" he said decisively. There was no time for hesitation. Running blind won't do them much since they might run into more wild creatures that way.
