58 Orc

Orc came out of the bushes like a stampede, it was even scarier than a single knight-tier Orc since so many orcs were flooding toward them.

"Slow them down, use your range attack, don't let them hit us with their momentum!" Char shouted at his team.

If they did not do something about the stampede, then they would not have any chance to fight back, they would be drowned by the orcs' body and weight before they could kill them.

Aya and her creature cast their magic at the incoming horde, but even the massive light magic could barely slow down the horde.

"Leave this to me!" the golem summoner said as he had summoned his mud golem. It positioned itself in front of the group and slammed both of its hands on the ground.

Char could feel a slight shift on the ground before the horde visibly slowed down, they were kneed deep in a pool of mud.

"There is more!" the boy shouted as he commanded the golem to harden the mud into stone, trapping the orc's feet in it.

But to their surprise, the stampede continued, the orcs behind the trapped orcs did not care about their brethren, they slammed through the trapped orc without care, injuring the trapped orcs.

"They are not stopping! Don't harden the mud, just make as much mud as you can!" Anne told the boy in a hurry.

Anne and Char did not have any ranged magic that can slow down the incoming horde, so they can only let the other do their job while they prepare for the incoming orcs.

The golem turned the ground into mud once more, causing the stampede to slow down again, but that was not enough.

"Use water magic, flood the mud, that will slow them even more!" Char told the water fairy and its summoner.

Torrents of water smashed toward the orcs and merged with the mud, it caused the orcs to sink deeper in mud; they were barely able to move and the orcs behind them could not pass because there were too many orcs trapped in the mud.

"Now! Attack!" Char instructed as he drew his sword and got to the nearest orc to finish the immobile creature.

"Wait, Char! You will—" Aya about to warn him to be trapped in the mud as well but to her surprise, he jumped into the air with mana covering all of his limbs.

He landed on the orc's face in a squatting position, driving his sword through the orc's brain with his momentum.

That stunned the other, but they recovered just in time to join him in killing the orcs. They used bow and magic to attack from a distance.

Only the mud golem and the Imp joined him in the melee, the former because it can't be trapped in the mud, and the latter because it can replicate his feat with its physical ability.

The skeleton was relegated to a supporting role. It threw finger bones at the orcs and used them as grenades before healing its missing bones and threw them again.

"You are not going to follow him?" Aya turned to Anne, who was using the bow they got from the kobold summoner.

"Do you think it's possible for a human to do that? I'm not brave enough to do that! One miss-step and you could be trapped in the mud or get smacked by the orc's clubs!" She retorted.

Char did not bother with the girls' banter as he put his focus on killing the orcs. He took it as training; he wanted to know to what extent he could control his body.

"With the reconstruction magic active, I can control almost every single muscle and have a better perspective of my body, I can even do a difficult movement that requires high accuracy and dexterity like this!" he mused.

He was bold enough to jump from one orc to another because he had full control of his body!

He was still distracted by the thought when suddenly the orc he was aiming for pulled out an ax from its back.

It swung the ax at his torso, which startled Char. He quickly positioned his sword to block the ax since he could not dodge mid-jump.

The ax hit his black sword and a moment later he could feel the sword recoiled back, sending him flying through the air.

Char crashed into an orc and fell into the mud. He could not feel his arm as it turned numb from the impact.

Orcs all around him did not miss the chance and swung their club at him. He wanted to dodge, but the mud was trapping him.

"Char!" Aya's voice could be heard as a silver arrow pierced nearby orc's head, killing it, but there were still a few more orcs trying to attack him.

He pulled out a bone with a physical resistance magic tattoo on it. He quickly activated the bone so he would at least have some defense against the orc's attack.

He tried to parry the attack, but he was too slow to block all the attack, a club came from his side, hitting him on the shoulder, he could feel his bone cracked from it, but it wasn't over as two more blows hit him before The Imp came to his rescue.

It pulled him out of the mud and threw him away from the mud area; The nightcrawler caught him so he would not crash on the ground and worsen his wound.

"What is happening," his mind was hazy. One of the attacks had hit him in the head, giving him a concussion.

Char was barely able to activate his magic, he could not even heal himself, if he tried to heal himself in such a condition then he might end up making mistakes in the process, giving himself paralysis or worse.

"Char!" he could hear Aya's voice and warmth spread through his body. After a few seconds, he recovered enough to understand what happened.

"Knight-tier orc is in the group!" He warned them and an orc jumped out of the mud and soar through the sky with its ax raised.
