104 Barbara's resolution and Batman is a dangerous father-in-law

Allen set out to leave the park with Batgirl in his arms. The girl, due to her flushed face and lost look, couldn't think clearly. She had completely fallen into Allen's clutches, and it was true; however, it shouldn't be confused with true love. At least she wasn't at the level of imagining a life with Allen or anything like that.

It's as simple and as common as a school or summer love. There's someone you like, and you want to get to know them more, you want to go out and maybe be intimate with that person, but you don't imagine a life with them.

But even if it's not love, Barbara has the desire, attraction, and a liking for Allen. However, there are a series of problems, and the main one is that she is a superheroine. It would be absurd for her to be with a villain.

The public would condemn her, her friends would reject her, and above all, she can't do that to her mentor Batman, and her father, Commissioner Gordon, as they raised her with a sense of morality and justice and the desire to do what's right.

Barbara doesn't want to ruin everything just for a bad boy she likes. Barbara frowned and sighed heavily as she looked at Allen one last time and hardened her heart. He's a supervillain, and she's a superheroine; she had to stop him.

...

Allen smiled inwardly at seeing Barbara's struggle. Even though it was difficult, she managed to overcome her values over her feelings, and that was something he could respect. 'However, I'm the bad guy, and I shouldn't let you go so easily.'

Barbara shuddered as she felt Allen's predatory gaze on her. At the same time, she felt a tingling sensation in her body, and her breathing increased.

...

Just when Barbara felt her resolve weaken under Allen's intense and dominant gaze, three spheres fell around them.

Barbara opened her eyes as she recognized whose smoke bombs they were.

Allen, on the other hand, narrowed his eyes as he watched the spheres fall in slow motion. A smile formed on Allen's face as he saw the bat symbol on those bombs.

As the bombs hit the ground, they exploded, releasing a lot of smoke that enveloped the couple. Allen felt Barbara tense up. She, realizing who was here, immediately tried to free herself. Allen noticed and moved his face closer to her. 'It hurts me that you reject me...'

"Nhhg~ no~"

Barbara let out a slight moan and felt fear as she felt her body no longer obeying her and clinging to Allen. However, Allen kindly let her go.

Feeling a bit lost upon being released, Barbara's resolve and convictions helped her regain her Batgirl persona.

She emerged from the smoke and backed away, performing several flips on the ground. Batman landed beside her. She had a pale look upon feeling Batman's presence next to her; she felt bad for giving in to a villain and almost falling into an irreversible path called corruption. She had no excuse to give and couldn't even look at Batman.

"We'll talk later," Batman said gravely as he stared fixedly at the dissipating smoke.

Allen remained silent as he smiled at Barbara who didn't dare to look at him for fear of exposing her confused heart, then he looked at Batman.

"But if it is the legend... The Dark Knight... even though it's not night... don't you feel like you're burning in that black suit?"

"You're also dressed in a black trench coat..."

"This is my power." Crown Clown began to move as chains emerged, slowly coiling around Allen, but soon they disappeared.

===

– What are you doing, Allen?! Every piece of information you give to Batman brings you one step closer to the grave!

– It's true; you shouldn't do that!

Rick – Fools, Batman already knows he uses chains and the power he already has. Allen is using this as an opportunity to make Batman believe he is confident and arrogant.

===

Batman narrowed his eyes as he grabbed an artifact in his hand, and he immediately threw it at Allen. Allen used his chains to block it, but this artifact released a red electric shock. Allen was surprised, however, Crown Clown was fine.

Batman looked calm, but inside, he noted that the artifact he obtained to interfere with magic didn't work.

'It's not magic...'

[Host...]

'Yeah... this Batman is terrifying...' Allen thought, but he didn't worry. His repertoire of skills with different origins was too much for Batman to come up with a contingency plan in a short period. Moreover, Bruce still didn't know what Allen was capable of.

Barbara, seeing the exchange between the two men, remained silent. Her heart was in chaos; on one side, her feelings and desires, on the other, her values and reason.

Barbara bit her lips until they bled as she denied every feeling she might have for him, every sensation Allen had provoked in her. She concealed every thought that had crossed her mind about being held by him. Allen was a villain, and Barbara couldn't accept feelings for him, no matter how painful it was.

Using her training given by Batman, she controlled herself and froze her emotions deep within her heart. She deceived herself into thinking she was just enchanted by Allen's superficial attractiveness.

"Damn!" Barbara gritted her teeth and, with a determined look, put her hands on her back and pulled out throwing weapons that she launched at Allen.

Allen remained silent as the bat-shaped shurikens attacked him. Unlike those used by Batman, Batgirls were yellow.

The shurikens stopped before touching Allen and then fell to the ground.

Allen smiled slightly. "Well, it seems my date was ruined thanks to a difficult father-in-law."

Allen disappeared and appeared a few inches from Barbara. "I'm not done with you yet... but it'll be for next time." Allen smiled maliciously and kissed Barbara on the tip of her nose.

Embarrassed and with a racing heart, Barbara tried to hit Allen. "You shameless bastard!" Barbara felt humiliated and screamed in anger. However, what bothered her the most was that while she struggled with unacceptable feelings, he seemed to be just playing.

"..." Batman silently observed the situation, including the flirting and the brazen kiss.

"Haa haa damn!" Barbara began to breathe heavily; she was very stressed by the situation. Seeing Batman looking at her, she grimaced in guilt. "It's not what it seems! He took advantage shamelessly! I never... I... I'm sorry."

"I'm not your father, Barbara, and I won't tell you how to live, but he's someone extremely dangerous. No matter how charming you find him, it doesn't change the fact that he's an existence that could destroy Gotham if he wanted to." Batman used his grappling gun to ascend a building.

Barbara remained silent as Batman walked away. She breathed deeply. No matter how irresistible Allen might be, she wasn't going to throw all her morals and teachings out the window. It had taken her a long time and sacrifice to be accepted as Batgirl.

"I'm not done with you..."

"Tsk that bastard. I'll catch you!" Barbara promised herself that she would capture Allen and bring him to justice. Her eyes became determined and filled with resolve. She wouldn't fall for his game again.

...

"Almost forgot." Allen appeared behind Barbara, startling her.

"Huh?!"

Allen took her by the waist; she was in shock because her scene of determination was ruined, and now she was in the bastard's arms again.

"Where are you touching?!"

Barbara blushed as she felt Allen's hand move down her back to her bakery. However, Allen winked at her and didn't take advantage of her but pulled out a bright green stone from Barbara's pocket.

"Did they think I was like Superman?" Allen laughed, still holding Barbara in his arms.

She wanted to get away; she had to, or she might regret it. Her breathing became disturbed as she inhaled the masculine scent at close range; her body warmed as she was held so firmly by Allen.

"Let me go..." Barbara used her willpower again to demand her freedom. Allen saw Barbara's grumpy face and thought she was cute, so much loved to kidnap her. However, he let her go.

Upon being released, she took a few steps back, feeling strange. 'What's wrong with me?!' Barbara felt lost deep down when she was released by him, but she quickly killed that emotion and pulled out more throwing weapons; she was ready to fight.

"Oh? You have no chance of beating me, but you don't give up..." Allen smiled slightly with a deep and respectful look. "You're a true superheroine..."

"You...!"

Barbara felt her heart beat like never before; this simple praise and respect were twenty times more effective than just flirting with her. 'That's so unfair...' She felt like if she stayed here for another minute, she would truly fall in love.

Of course, Allen wasn't going to torture Barbara anymore, so he laughed and turned around. "We'll continue our date later, my dear Batgirl."

Barbara didn't respond; she simply remained silent as she watched him walk away. When he was no longer visible, she fell to the ground with weak legs. "He's very dangerous... I'll catch you!"

Barbara came to the same conclusion as Batman, 'I must stop him!' she thought, but this thought was wrong. She should stay away from Allen, not seek him out. Barbara unconsciously mixed her desires and impulses with her reasoning, unaware that she would regret this later... or maybe she wouldn't regret it...

...

Allen appeared elsewhere in Gotham, holding the kryptonite he took from Barbara. It wasn't much, so Allen didn't think it would work on this Superman; the debilitating factor of kryptonite depends a lot on the amount and the Kryptonian.

There are versions of Superman capable of withstanding the effects of kryptonite for some time. Allen, remembering this universe's Superman and seeing the small fragments of kryptonite, laughed.

"It's impossible..."

Of course, he had no intention of using the kryptonite even if he could; it would be boring and cowardly for Allen to do so, besides admitting that he's not at Clark's level.

Allen was simply curious to see what the kryptonite was like after the system told him that Barbara had it.

Allen looked around at the deserted streets and dirty alleys. "By the way, it's quite curious how the world seems to change depending on the city you're in.

"In Themyscira, the atmosphere was always filled with antiquity and a touch of mysticism. Metropolis was a great city that was always lit by the sun, giving a sense of prosperity and security. But on the other hand, Gotham gave a feeling of decay and coldness, as if there was always a tragedy somewhere.

"Even in broad daylight, this feeling doesn't go away," murmured Allen.

===

–DC takes place on Earth, but apparently, it's much larger than normal Earth.

– I knew that too, it was because of the many fictional places invented in DC.

– Yes, well, technically, they're not fictional anymore.

Listing some:

Gotham City - Home of Batman.

Metropolis - Where Superman resides.

Central City - The City of The Flash (Barry Allen).

Star City - Green Arrow's base of operations.

Coast City - Formerly Green Lantern's city (Hal Jordan).

Keystone City - Another city related to Flash (Jay Garrick).

Opal City - Known for being Starman's city (Ted Knight).

Smallville - Superman's hometown (Clark Kent).

Fawcett City - Home of Shazam.

And of course, we must not forget Jump City where the Teen Titans usually operate. It's the city where their main headquarters, Titan Tower, is located.

Allen is curious to see how such a strange building in the shape of a T looks in reality, although he probably won't be welcome, no, he definitely won't be because the leader of the Teen Titans is in a wheelchair. After all, he, of course, the real culprit is Beast Boy, but it's understood.

"So many cities; it's normal for the Earth to be larger, and that's not even counting paradise islands, Atlantis, and of course Gorilla City."

Gorilla City is a place located in Central Africa and is inhabited by a society of intelligent and evolved gorillas. Gorilla City is known for its advanced technological abilities and for being home to characters like Gorilla Grodd, a recurring villain in Flash stories. Allen doesn't know how humans can live knowing that there are gorillas fifty years ahead in technology compared to the rest of the world.

It's just funny that while in DC they invent a city for each superhero, in Marvel, most of the chaos resides in New York.

Allen shook his head and looked around; unaware, that he had come to a dangerous neighborhood. It was easy to notice by the people staring at him from windows and corners, a couple of dealers and a few gang members gave a hint to this place that you'd be stabbed at any moment.

However, Allen wasn't worried. "They need more apocalypses to scare me..."

Allen was about to leave when he saw a place that caught his attention.

It was a discreet dive casino where the doorman had a semi-automatic rifle. Allen smiled and decided to try his luck.

Allen's content was already classified for adults only; that's pretty obvious when he's not afraid to livestream while drunk. It's not that anyone can stop his livestream, but he didn't want to corrupt any children. Allen is aware that he's not the best role model in romantic matters and alcohol.

Allen approached the armed man, for a moment he thought he would have to knock him out to be let in; of course, such a violent solution is only possible because Allen is in villain mode; otherwise, he would simply wait or bribe him with some bills.

However, the doorman let him pass without saying anything.

Allen shrugged and accepted the kindness, but his chat was worried.

===

Otaku567 – This smells bad.

GamerPro – Then take a shower.

Otaku568 – Hey, just because my name is Otaku doesn't mean I don't shower.

GamerPro – Oh? Did you shower?

Otaku567 – Well, no... but it has nothing to do with my nickname!

===

Suspicious glances, several gangsters, and some people playing poker. Not exactly a classic Las Vegas casino but more of an underground betting den, and that was fine with Allen.

Allen didn't care and went to a chair to change 10k.

===

Natasha HC – Allen...

Gwen HC – You must have a good explanation.

MJ HC – I won't lie; I don't like it when you gamble.

Allen isolated himself in his chat mode, which prevented people from hearing his conversation; in fact, they couldn't even see him talk.

"I'm sorry; I don't enjoy gambling that much. I just thought that if I did this, someone would end up looking for trouble."

Allen intended to prove he was the most terrifying villain of all and there's no better way than by crushing the competition.

"Hey, pretty boy, this isn't a place for AHHHH!!"

A gangster approached with a knife in hand. Allen grabbed the hand holding the knife and crushed it, shattering the gangster's handbones.

More gangsters dropped what they were doing and ran at him with bats, chains, and knives.

"Well, it seems like you guys don't watch the news..."

Allen laughed and stood up, grabbing the bat that was about to hit him; the man stood gaping as he realized he couldn't move his hand even an inch.

Allen smiled and hit the gangster's stomach, making him fly into a wall where he crashed, then fell to the ground with foam in his mouth; all the gangsters stopped.

One of them pulled out a gun and started shooting at Allen. He remained still, and the bullets stopped in mid-air.

Allen thought carefully about how to be a villain and concluded that he could try various styles, including being a little scarier.

'System...'

[Yes?]

'Swap Kaido's defense for Alastor the radio demon's abilities...'

Allen could rotate abilities since he didn't mind having more at the same time. However, abilities he had a strong affinity for or were taught by a master like Limitless by Satoru Gojo meant a lot to him, so he wouldn't easily change them. Nevertheless, restricted abilities do not fully belong to him, so he feels them more like equipment than his power. Thus, he won't hesitate to change, modify, or even fuse them.

Allen's trench coat turned blood red, and the lights in the place started flickering. A macabre appearance appeared on Allen's face, at the same time that a terrifying shadow was reflected on the wall behind him.

"So..." Allen smiled with his eyes now red. "Is there something that scares you?!"

Black tentacles emerged from the ground and began to strike them; some tried to defend themselves by shooting at the tentacles, but it was equivalent to doing nothing.

"Ahhhh!!!"

"No!!!"

"Help me!!!"
