156 Allen and Lobo are best friends?!

Allen punched Lobo, sending him through the door. However, Allen saw in horror how he had a chain from the one Lobo always wore on his arms tied to his leg.

*Allen's POV*

As I stepped through the portal, I found myself in the sky while the bastard Lobo smirked unpleasantly. I impluse myself to kick him in the stomach, causing him to fall faster.

"Uhooo!!!" Lobo cried out weirdly as he fell.

Upon crashing to the ground, Lobo created a large explosion of sand and dirt.

"...!" After getting rid of Lobo, the image of the world entered my eyes and I froze.

===

Artemis – Huh?!

Athena – What happened to this world?

Hestia – It's awful... the world... everything

===

Even my Chat froze, especially the goddesses who only needed a glance to know the state of the world.

I landed on the ground dry and dead, I could hardly believe this was New York.

We all watched in disbelief as the Statue of Liberty was buried in the sand, not only that but towering buildings that seemed to touch the sky were now in ruins and destroyed. Sand and destruction were all that could be seen.

"I'm not done yet!" Lobo shouted, annoyed by my previous attack.

I raised my hand and wrapped Lobo in chains, he broke them but immediately other chains covered him again.

"Hey, this is cheating!"

Lobo shouted but I didn't care, I could leave this universe at any moment and leave him here, so he wasn't a problem anymore, but the state of this land was lamentable and I couldn't simply ignore it.

What had happened?!

I could only shake my head as I could think of at least ten answers right now, which was the harsh reality for the DC world, where it didn't matter if you were good or bad at any moment something would happen, and you would die without realizing it.

*End of POV*

===

Hippolyta – This is too horrible...

Artemis (Bana Mighdall) – I don't think it was done overnight; perhaps most of the inhabitants managed to escape.

Antiope – But if that's the case, why didn't they try to rebuild the city?

Diana – It's more serious than you think Mother, that place... it used to be a huge sea.

The Amazons resisted technology, but Diana managed to convince her mother to open up to the idea, and it helped that she mentioned Allen would be live. As a result, the Amazons are officially online.

Allen welcomed them and wanted to speak privately, but it wasn't the time, and they understood.

===

There was some reason in Antiope's comments, there was no need to leave this place like this, they could rebuild it, but from the level of deterioration that Allen noticed in the buildings, this has been abandoned for years. And the most serious thing is "What the fuck happened to the sea!"

"Hey, are you listening to me?!" Lobo managed to free himself after biting his tongue and throwing it away to regenerate there.

Allen couldn't take it anymore and grabbed Lobo by the collar and shouted in his face. "Shut up, Lobo! I've had enough of you! Do you know today is my day off, but I have to spend it babysitting your ass?!"

Lobo was surprised by Allen's instant aggressiveness and regretted it, "I see, that's not right... I should have come another day..."

Unexpectedly, Lobo understood Allen, and although he didn't apologize, he did accept his fault for this.

Seeing Lobo's attitude, Allen shook his head and shrugged, "It doesn't matter anymore, I'll just take another day off!"

"Hey, is that okay?!" Lobo chuckled.

"It's the perks of being your own boss."

Lobo slapped his knee, "Hahaha, I get it. Hey, you're not the demon I thought you were. Demons are usually very arrogant or very grumpy or very cowardly, although some are pleasant."

Allen raised an eyebrow and shook his head, "No, I'm not a demon... I'm human."

"Huh?!" Lobo stopped laughing as he took the contract from his pants.

"What?" Allen looked at him confused.

Both looked at each other with confused eyes for a moment.

...

In the middle of a desert road, Lobo and Allen walked aimlessly side by side.

"Another desert... by the way, I miss Phillip."

"Hey, can't we get a vehicle or something?! And who the hell is Philip?!"

"Phil is a genius at entertaining, very kind, he makes desert trips more enjoyable."

"Die!!" Lobo shouted. He attacked Allen but he defended himself and punched him back, sending him flying, crashing into a leaning building.

A minute later, Lobo returned and landed, creating dust that enveloped Allen.

"Phil sounds like a good guy, I'd like to meet him."

"I'll introduce you later if there's a chance."

In his house, Phillip Coulson spat out his coffee and felt chills. After that, he called in sick to work because he didn't feel well.

"No vehicles and I'm waiting for something... and why the hell are you following me?!" Allen complained to Lobo, that he didn't like him for his previous comments.

"I told you the contract is nullified, there's no need for aggression!"

"You provoked me enough to send you to the other universe, I'm not going to argue with you!"

"Come on, buddy, if we ignore the fact that I tried to kill you, we could get along."

"Never, and that doesn't bother me as much as your way of talking about my girlfriends!"

"Hahaha, I didn't mean it seriously, it was just to provoke you and make sure you wouldn't escape."

"Screw you!"

Truthfully, Allen realized after thinking with a clear head that Lobo was just trying to provoke him by referring so vulgarly to his girlfriends, but that didn't lessen the weight of what he did.

"Huh?! You attacked me... whatever!"

Lobo never fails a job but he's not an idiot either. He hated being deceived by his client who assured him that Allen was a demon out of hell with no restrictions, which is not true.

Allen felt that perhaps Lobo's client wasn't trying to deceive him but truly believed that Allen was a demon. And it was easy to understand why he thought that, Allen literally opened portals to hell with just a snap of his fingers.

Allen asked repeatedly who the client was, but one must admire Lobo's professionalism; he refused at all times, even when Allen cut off his head and used it as a ball.

Allen had no problem sending Lobo back to the previous universe as long as he left the earth, but first, he needed to know what happened in this arid and mostly dead world.

...

Allen sat down to rest next to a fallen traffic sign.

"Hey, kid, look, I found alcohol!"

Lobo arrived happily carrying a pub in one hand. Lobo was literally carrying an entire building in his hand.

"Where did you get that?!"

"It was buried, doesn't matter, there are bottles of alcohol and more..."

Lobo left the bar aside and proceeded to enter, after a minute he came out with several bottles in his hands and threw one to Allen.

===

Ruby – NOOOOO!!!!

MJ – Get that bottle away from your hands!!!

Felicia – Holy shit!!!

Nikky – It's going to happen again D:

===

Allen looked at the bottle in his hands with an empty look. "I think for the sake of the universe, I shouldn't drink alcohol... ever."

"You're so boring, will it kill you or something?!"

"No, let's say there's a person that no one wants to meet within my subconscious, and it's very dangerous."

"Oh, I get it, I've heard voices too!" Lobo laughed. "Listen, this is the funniest thing you've ever heard. A couple of years ago, I had a voice in my head, hahaha. So, all the time I thought I was crazy, so to investigate, I stuck my hand into my head, HAHAHAHAHA, and I found an alien bug that had been eating my brain all that time... HAHAHAHAHA!!"

===

Tony – Allen, I don't think you should send that guy back to the other universe.

Jack – That's right...

Yuri – It's terrifying... and extremely dangerous.

===

Allen had an indifferent look but began to tremble. His Chat looked at him strangely, and Allen couldn't bear it.

"HAHAHAHAHA!"

Allen laughed at Lobo's joke. "Sorry, it's just so funny, hahaha!"

Allen laughed for a while and opened the bottle in his hand to take a sip. Everyone in the Chat screamed, but it was too late, Allen had taken a drink.

===

– It's the end, we're all going to die!!

– No wait, it's another universe, it doesn't matter...

– That's cruel...

– It doesn't matter, Allen is responsible!

===

"I'm listening to you, *motherfuckers*!" Allen replied to his Chat with disdain. "Just so you know, that time I got drunk because I lowered my defenses on purpose, under normal circumstances, this doesn't affect me." No one believed him, especially the girls close to him.

"Hey, kid, look, there's everything here!"

Lobo called to Allen with all kinds of bottles, from whiskey, rum, tequila, sake, everything the bar in the other world was very well stocked and had all the finest ones guaranteed in padded drawers.

"Wait, I'm talking to my Chat."

"What's a Chat?"

Lobo and Allen sat inside the bar and drank bottle after bottle.

Indeed, Allen wouldn't get drunk from a little alcohol as long as he kept his resistance active, but that has a limit.

Allen began to feel dizzy and decided to leave it at that.

"No, I'm telling you it's different, reincarnation and rebirth are two different things."

"But I always reincarnate when I die!"

"No, that's reviving or resurrecting."

"I don't understand!"

"Reincarnating can mean that your soul enters another body that isn't yours and you come back to life that way, rebirth is being born again from conception, reviving or resurrecting is like you being killed and coming back as yourself, unchanged!"

"You mean all this time people thought I was an idiot for saying I reincarnated when I revived?!"

"HAHAHA, YOU'RE AN IDIOT!!"

"SAY THAT AGAIN, WHITE HEAD?!"

"HUH?! DO YOU WANT TO FIGHT, DOG'S BREATH?!"

The spectators had a blank look at seeing Allen in that strange state again, but unexpectedly he didn't do anything stupid, he just remained drinking with Lobo and talking.

===

– Can you believe they were killing each other an hour ago?

– In fact, it's the third time they've threatened to kill each other.

– The worst part is they're not bragging, they'll kill each other if provoked.

===

While Allen and Lobo argued, a flying ship appeared in the desert sky.

"Attention, unidentified persons detected in a prohibited area, attention, we are the peacekeepers, please refrain from any resistance."

Allen and Lobo exited the bar.

The ship landed, and many soldiers dressed in black and armed with rifles disembarked. They all surrounded Lobo and Allen and aimed their weapons at them.

"Kid, do you have any plan?" Lobo asked in a low voice.

Allen nodded with a confident smile. "Leave it to me." Allen took a step forward and addressed everyone, "Officers, how good of you to arrive! This lunatic is an unidentified alien who tried to disturb the peace of this country, republic, confederation, kingdom, or whatever the hell is surely left after the war."

"You're a dirty, treacherous traitor without honor!!" Lobo angrily interrupted Allen's words.

"Shut up! You were about to do the same!" Allen replied irritably.

"Yeah, but I would've killed you first so you wouldn't have a chance to betray me! that's what friends do!!" Lobo shook his head in disappointment. "This is inhuman!"

The officer in charge fired into the air to stop their argument.

"Shut up!! Both of you are under arrest, if you resist, you will be executed on the spot!"

Allen remained silent for a moment and looked at Lobo.

Lobo, for his part, had the same look towards Allen.

===

MJ HC – Poor soldiers, a drunk Allen, and Lobo...

Natasha HC – Allen... hahaha

Maria Hill HC – It's not a time to laugh!

Gwen HC – As long as he's fine, I don't care about the rest.
