Where the F*** is Wain?

(I realised that the whole thinking, speaking thing is kind of confusing so from now on:

"" this is speaking

'' this is thinking)

The examiner turned to Ell, his gaze turning from stern and strict to gentle and kind, "Come with me." He told Ell.

Ell walked to him nervous but at the same time confident, he knew that this examiner wouldn't do anything bad to him. The examiner turned away from Ell and started to walk outside the field up to the academy, the academy was on the outskirts of the city right next to a gate leading to an outside forest.

The examiner led him up the greyish – brown coloured stone stairs, leading up to the entrance. The examiner brought him inside the building. The walls were a white colour and the carpet was blue, the wooden planked floor was a nice yellow colour and the doors were a brown chestnut colour. The building was big with 2 different rooms, one on the left and one on the right. There was a spiral staircase right in front of Ell.

The examiner turned to the right and opened the right door, and entered the room, holding the door behind him. Ell followed the examiner and entered the room, inside the room was very cosy and small. It had a desk near the back wall opposite to the door. There were two chairs behind the desk facing the door. The examiner adjusted the seats positions, and moved one to face the other chair.

"Please sit down." The examiner told Ell while smiling.

Ell slowly made his way to the chair trying to calm his nerves down, 'This man should know where, Wain is. Right?' He thought to himself. Ell was still confused about how Wain wasn't at the examination. He knew Wain wasn't the type of person to chicken out of a thing such as this.

"The reason you have been brought here is that you're not suitable for the 1st year of the senior Briston Knight Academy." The examiner started.

Ell's mind was filled to the brim with questions, 'Almost none of the people in the entrance exam had ki? Is this academy really that hard to enter?'

But the examiner continued, "If you were to enter our academy, you would have to be in year 3, out of 5, of the senior Briston Knight Academy. Is that fine with you?" The examiner held his breath waiting for Ell's response.

Truth to be told, the examiner really wanted Ell to join the knight academy. This was because a rare talent that could use ki and the young age of 12 was really hard to stumble upon, and the examiner felt as if Ell could be able to become a rare Grandmaster swordsman.

"That's fine with me. But can you help me find a friend of mine, who was going to join this academy with me?" Ell said.

Internally the examiner breathed out, relieved. That should be easy to do. He brought out the files for the students from his drawer.

"Ok, so what's their name?"

"Wain."

"Right."

The examiner looked through the documents troubled, "Are you sure that their name was Wain?"

"Positive."

"Either he didn't get in or he's not in this academy."

Ell was disappointed and was trying to theorise where Wain might be, when the examiner suddenly asked him, "Is Wain the same age as you? And does he have ki?"

"Yes, and no."

"Oh, then its an easy question, your friend Wain is in the Junior academy. When you enrol to the academy, the examinee's decide which exam you should be in, by judging your ki, or your age."
