7 King Piccolo (7)

'I can't believe I almost forgot'

I opened up the pale-white electric rice cooker in front of me, a bright green beam shooting up and arcing in the air, landing back down on the platform.

The green light quickly dissipated, revealing a large old, rinkly Namekian, his form slightly larger than Kami's.

"Hah! Huh?"

King Piccolo wasn't able to enjoy his new freedom, finding that his legs had been swept from underneath him, a strong palm sending him flying straight up into the air.

"What the-"

He could only make a small sound before the world around him turned black, a strange chocolate blanket wrapping all around his body, clamping down on him hard.

King Piccolo was then absorbed into my body.

It took a few seconds but his memories began to play in my mind, imagery of the Nameless Namekian departing from Namek due to the Great Catastrophe.

I saw the Nameless Namekian leaving Namek and entering a spaceship, landing on Earth at Yunzabit Heights, struggling to survive. Eventually his body grew strong, gaining the attention of Earth's Guardian at the time, the Guardian taking him under his wing.

Then I saw the Guardian forcing the Nameless Namekian to split, forming Kami and King Piccolo, the later raging on the planet until he was sealed in the electric rice cooker by Master Mutaito, Roshi's master, with the Mafuba.

Lots of animosity, rage and resentment had built up in King Piccolo's heart, his feelings threatening to overwhelm me.

'Hmph!'

I decided to harness the wave of negative emotions that was clouding my psyche, a Ki bolt turning the Electric Rice Cooker on the ground into a portrait of Planet Namek, one fresh from my memories.

'I can actually get rid of his negativity like this'

I was aware that absorbing King Piccolo would influence me but I decided to take the risk, wanting to learn how to properly manage an evil target.

I didn't imagine there was such an easy fix.

The cloud of negative emotions continued to grow, my mind letting it seep into my Ki. I fired a thicker bolt of energy at the house on the Lookout, transforming it into a big mansion.

'It's faster than normal'

I had learned how to transmute objects but I discovered that it took a several minutes and a lot of concentration. It was only when I was put under emotional stress, that I could transform objects quickly.

I expanded the surface of the Lookout, increasing its radius while lengthening the palm trees that were planted across it.

'Oh?'

I quickly ran out of juice, the negativity in my heart quickly disappearing as swiftly as it had emerged.

'I thought I could use it for longer'

As small sigh escaped my lips as I exercised the Kai Kai technique, instantly teleporting to Yunzabit Heights.

The weather was terrible, a strong cold wind blowing over the atmosphere, several lightning bolts echoing down while the rain poured. The sky was a bleak grey, no wildlife in the area at all.

'There it is'

I teleported down to the Nameless Namekian's spaceship, touching its surface before quickly teleporting back to the Lookout.

I applied my concentration, a chocolate orb shooting up from my hand and quickly stretching, spreading all over its surface before tightening, a series of strange bubbling and vibrating occurring before the spaceship shrunk, merging back with my body.

---

'The ship not having any other co-ordinates is a massive disappointment'

The Planet Cruiser's AI deployed a small robot that hacked into the systems of the Nameless Namekian's ship, only the co-ordinates of Planet Namek present on the system.

'That means that the Nameless Namekian's Spaceship was completely useless'

King Piccolo's memories enabled me to teleport straight to Namek, no co-ordinates or space travel required.

I teleported down to the ground floor of my ship.

The surplus of fruits and beans that had grown prompted the creation of a storage room, several thick tubes housing the mighty stash, each immersed with special fluid that prevented rot.

As I slipped an Ensenji fruit into my mouth, a thought entered my mind.

'Who should I bring onto my ship?'

Although I took over as the Guardian of Earth, it was mainly because of the convenience of the Lookout. While Earth would definitely be my home planet and base of operations, I still desired to explore space.

The reason was twofold.

The first was because I wanted to be proactive and investigate the various races of this world, desiring to put myself in the position where I could stop them before they stopped me and, if possible, develop amicable relations.

The second was to look for ripples and clues created by the threat I was sent to destroy, gathering information on him was not possible from the comfort of my bed.

'Not yet at least'

All this begged the question of who I wanted to take with me.

'I don't think it's worth taking any of the Z-Fighters'

Yamcha, Krillin, Tien, Chiaotzu and even Goku were mere liabilities at this stage on this story, their presence probably holding me back more than anything.

They were training and would also probably be more effective on Earth, given the various advancements I had set in motion.

'I'm not too convinced to take any of the girls either'

Contrary to most of the people in my shoes, I had decided against establishing a harem, no desire in me to round up all the girls of the canon and periodically rotate them.

That being said, I still wasn't above romancing one of them. I had actually laid eyes on Launch and from what I saw, I discerned the women of the Dragon Ball world were similar to their depictions in fiction, absurdly attractive with perfect symmetry and unique features.

'But if I actually use my head, any one of them following me seems unlikely'

Going out of my way to find Chi-Chi and bring her along didn't really seem sensible given that despite her relevance to the plot, she was still at the end of the day an ordinary human.

It wasn't impossible for me to convince Launch to follow me but she didn't really possess any special attributes that would validate her presence. Although she would make a good housewife, I wasn't at the stage where I would desire such a thing.

'I can make an argument for Bulma'

Bulma was different as she was easily the most intelligent character in all of Dragon Ball, her presence providing extra utility for any odd situations that occurred.

'But it's probably better she stays on Earth'

She would most likely be more useful assisting the developments on Earth, moreover, her father would undoubtedly question any kind of arrangement we would put together.

'Even for the sake of pure romance, I just want to wait a little bit'

Despite all the reasons and explanations I had produced, if I really wanted to, I could bring any one of them along. At this point in the story, though, what made the most sense to me was to wait.

'So that means I'm taking nobody'

It was probably the best decision, all things considered.

I sighed out, exhaling again before I furrowed my brows, sensing a massive Ki signature approach me.
