6 First Quest.

I find all the skills cool according to what I read from the interface, but the coolest to me was the 'Eyes of discernment'.

Being able to discern if a person is lying or not, and so on, in the world of business is really cool. Truly, in the world of business, a lot of cheating is likely to take place 'cause there are a lot of greedy people.

..But with this skill, I can't be cheated easily, that makes sense.

It was the baddest of all the skills. According to what I saw from the interface as well, all the skills cost thousands of wealth points to unlock. None of them were as low as 1,000 Wealth points.

Well, they'd definitely be unlockable. They wouldn't cost like that if it was impossible to unlock them...

Now that I'd checked out the costs and the functions of the skills, I better turn on the TV and see if there were any interesting programs going on, so I could pick one to watch.

..It's been a long time since I last watched TV.

I turned on the television, and after doing that, I began making use of the remote control to search around for a nice program I could watch. I finally found one, and I didn't waste time to balance on the bed and begin watching.

The program was interesting...so I had my eyes glued to the television and was even finding it hard to blink. The fact that I hadn't watched TV for a long time was what contributed to why I was enjoying the program this much.

I sat there for minutes with my eyes glued to the television until my eyes started getting heavy...I was feeling sleepy...

I decided to turn off the TV and go to bed though the program wasn't over. But I'd tried, I watched it for minutes...and I wouldn't have turned it off if not that I was feeling sleepy.

It had already been turned off, then I changed into the pajamas in my bag. I entered this hotel room and didn't bother to bathe 'cause I didn't feel like doing so.

..My body wasn't clammy or something, and I wasn't uncomfortable, so I didn't see any reason to bathe.

I landed flat on the bed with this thought running through my mind,

'Tomorrow is another day, whatever comes tomorrow, we take'.

And in a few minutes, I began dozing off because I was already feeling sleepy before...and before I knew it, I'd already dozed off completely straight to wonderland.

My eyes opened, and the first thing I did was to glance left and right. Then I sat up on the bed, I was lost for a second before remembering the current situation.

Have something like that happened to you before? Whereby you wake up in the morning and can't seem to remember the current events before they crash into your head.

That's exactly what happened to me just now, everything had crashed into my head already...

Me getting kicked out of the mansion, getting depressed, and while drinking, I got the wealth system which assured me she'd be able to transform my life from poor to rich but wouldn't come that easily.

..There are things to do to acquire that wealth.

She transferred thousands of dollars to my bank account, and that's what led to me waking up on this hotel bed.

'It's morning already'. I thought to myself as I was still sitting on the bed.

I sat there for minutes before standing up from it and dashing into the bathroom after putting paste on my toothbrush. I brushed my teeth, then took my bath.

I didn't just bath anyhow before coming out of the bathroom. After scrubbing my body properly, I allowed water coming out of the shower to pour on my head for a long time.

It felt so refreshing, no doubt about that...

It was after I was satisfied with how much water had poured on my head and body before I came out of the bathroom. After coming out of the bathroom, I dressed up in something casual.

Then I ordered food since I needed to eat breakfast. I was in my room when that same lady brought my food into it along with a chilled soft drink.

She dropped them on the table before saying the same thing to me, "Enjoy".

Then I said the same thing to her as well, "Thanks".

And with that, she walked out of my room, and I didn't waste time to begin digging in. The food was just as delicious as yesterday's own. I ate and ate until I'd emptied the plate, then I began drinking the soft drink.

I emptied the bottle of soft drink in a few minutes. Then the lady came into my room and took the plate away as usual.

..Breakfast has been handled, now, what next?

There was nothing from the system yet, no notification from her. So I'd have to wait to see if I'd get any notification from her...maybe my first quest.

But I can't just stay without doing anything while waiting for a notification to come from her. So I decided to pass time by watching TV, yes, I can watch TV as much as I wanted now.

..Things were different now, I wasn't a servant anymore.

I turned on the TV, searched for an interesting program using the remote control. And right now, I was sitting on my bed with my eyes glued to the TV just like yesterday.

For the first time in a long time, I was feeling happy, I wasn't feeling miserable. I was doing whatever I wanted...life seemed to be sweet to an extent.

Suffering is a terrible thing...

I sat there watching the program for minutes, it was definitely interesting. I was still watching it when I got a notification from the system,

I had just gotten my first quest from the system, and I understood what the quest was about. It was truly a good face slapping quest.

Making people think you're extremely poor then showing them you're not as poor as they're thinking...you're far higher than that.

I also noticed all the rewards that come with accomplishing the quest, but the one I noticed more was the amount of money I'd receive for accomplishing it...a good $200,000.

..Wow! That wasn't a small amount, a lot of people haven't been able to save this amount of money since their years of working hard.

While I was still working from one mere job to the other before marrying Layla, I didn't save close to this amount of money. And now, I'd receive it for just accomplishing a quest?

The quest wasn't that much of an easy thing though according to what I was seeing, but that doesn't mean it wasn't achievable.

I stood up from the bed, walked toward the TV, and turned it off. I'd just gotten my first quest, now wasn't the time to keep watching TV. According to what I saw from the quest, there was a time limit and failure to accomplish quest.

I didn't know these would be part of the quests I'd be getting...

I had 3 hours to accomplish the quest, if I didn't accomplish it within these 3 hours, I'd miss out on all the rewards...that was the failure to accomplish quest.

..That means, the $200,000 wouldn't be credited into my bank account anymore.

I can't afford to miss out on this money...I can't. So I must try my very best to accomplish this quest and do so within the time limit.

Now, coming to the quest, I needed to think properly on how I'd accomplish it. I was to make people think I was extremely poor that they'd doubt I'd be able to pay for what I was taking from a supermarket.

And I was to do this in two supermarkets under 3 hours...it wasn't an easy quest.

Now, what would make people think you're extremely poor? Your dressing, your charisma, your body posture, and so on. Your dressing needs to be looking tattered, they wouldn't be looking good.

Your charisma needs to be zero, your body posture needs to be zero as well. With all these combined, people would refer to you as wretched...
