In confusion, Eugene stared hard and long at the ex-girlfriend of the body he had come to possess.

He had only ever seen her from afar while playing a Virtual Reality Game but never touched or talked to her.

But now, his bias was right in front of him and within his reach.

Though, why was she here?

"What are you doing here?" Eugene asked her in a calm and surprisingly gentle voice.

Roselia was a beautiful woman, who had full, luscious lips, a sharp jawline, and high cheekbones. Her facial features went nicely along with her hair, which was bright like the sun and long enough to fall down to her waist like a high wave.

Eugene gave Arthur the stink-eye because he was standing too close to Roselia.

Arthur noticed it, so he smiled at him innocently and took a few steps away from Roselia.

Instantly, a satisfied smile appeared on Eugene's face.

"Seeing that you are fine, I believe I was worried for no reason." Arthur rubbed the back of his head with a smile.

"I am thankful that you both put aside everything and came to help me, but as you can see, I am fine."

Their help was never needed, but Eugene still thanked them.

"Are you really alright?"

He turned around and saw Roselia looking at him in deep concern.

Seeing how much the young lass was worried for him, Eugene couldn't help but grab her shoulders and rub them intimately to comfort her.

Eugene replied to her, "As you can, I am fine."

It was clear to him that Roselia felt embarrassed by how he was reassuring her.

After all, according to his memories, she wasn't used to getting touched by him because although they were once in a relationship, they had only ever held hands and never did anything like kissing or battling in the bed.

Eugene added as a joke, "But they aren't. Do you know what I did to them? I used them as mops to wipe the dirty floor."

It was true that she was uncomfortable because he was doing something unexpected to her. However, it was also true that she was loving every bit of this moment in which he was showing concern for her.

Since he dared to make her embarrassed, she also dared to tease him back.

However, her actions were only enticing him and making him think that she was seducing him.

Eugene grabbed her playful hand and brought it close to his lips to place a kiss on it.

After placing a gentle kiss on the back of her back, Eugene raised his head and looked at her.

She was 19 years old and also his ex-girlfriend, whose mother had forced her to break up with him because she didn't know that he had joined the Red Hawks and became a school bully with a sick reputation for the sake of getting dirt on Allen.

Arthur asked Eugene about the whereabouts of the Red Hawks.

Eugene pointed his thumb at the alley behind them.

Roselia and Arthur curiously stepped up to the alley and peeked inside, and their eyes widened to the size of saucers because of what they saw.

"Holy shit, did you beat them all up alone?"

The miserable state of the bullies of the Red Hawks left Roselia stunned and speechless, so Arthur was the one asking that question from Eugene.

"Yes, I did." Eugene gave him a nod.

His words, though further bewildered and shocked Arthur.

"But how? Just a few days ago, you were having a hard time against them, and I had to help you distract Allen's lackeys so you could take him down. They combined can take on four of Allen, but you alone beat them today using only your hands and feet. Just how did you become so strong in a few days?"

The wounds on their body told Arthur that Eugene didn't use any weapon to kick their ass.

When he found that out, he looked at him in awe.

Being admired by him made Eugene feel good inside, but he didn't let it show on his face.

Eugene V. Samuel was not a man who liked to show his expression casually to strangers.

"You must've heard about the superhumans appearing worldwide, right? It's a term you'll be hearing frequently pretty soon. I luckily became one after waking up today. Thus, it became easy for me to take of thugs like them." Eugene told a while lie to Arthur.

"Really?" After hearing his words, Arthur's jaw threatened to drop to touch the ground.

However, Levi showed him no sympathy and stated the truth again.

"I like to joke a lot, but this time, I mean it."

Surprisingly, Arthur, although shocked by the fact that a superhuman was standing before him, felt happy for Eugene's sake. "Man, congratulations on becoming a rumored superhuman."

"Congratulations for gaining profound powers!"

Roselia, although skeptical of his words, also congratulated him, and she felt so excited for his sake that she placed a kiss on his cheeks without any hesitation.

"Thank you." Eugene felt her soft breasts pressing on his chest and hugged her back with a sly smile on his face.

Arthur separated them with his words. "You're too damn lucky. How about I also hug you to rub off some luck from you?"

Eugene gave him a look that said stay away from me.

Thus, Arthur, who was approaching him to bear hug him, stopped.

The moment he heard this sentence, Eugene realized that he had only a minute or so to settle his matter because, after that, a light would carry him to another place, far away from Earth.

"Arthur, I hope you can do me a favor and help me send them to the infirmary."

It was too cold out here and even colder in the damp, smelly alley.

Eugene didn't feel a thing in this weather because he was strong, but kaiser and the rest of his boys were already freezing to death.

He didn't want them to die because although they were scum, they didn't deserve to die like that.

Thus, he signaled Arthur to help them preserve their life.

Arthur raised his eyebrow at him. "What about you?"

Roselia also blinked her eyes with long eyelashes at him. "Are you going somewhere?"

Roselia and Arthur felt something was off with Eugene, and they weren't wrong.

Eugene rubbed his nose. "Yes, I am. Honestly, I don't want to, but I have no say in this matter."

He pointed at the sky and sighed, "It is all decided by it. I can't refuse its call even if I want to."

According to the game, V. Samuel was picked up by the teleportation light of the tower when he was beaten to the ground by Kaiser and his lackeys.

Yes, this fight was a part of V. Samuel's backstory that Eugene had uncovered while playing the game.

V. Samuel had miserably lost this fight, but Eugene had won it to effectively change a sad and sour part of his life.

Anyway, he had ended the fight early, but that didn't mean he had changed his destiny of entering the tower.

"W-what? Where are you going?

"Who is it?"

Before Eugene could answer them, the system's voice once again rang in his mind.

[You'll enter the tower's beginning area in three seconds.]

"I will be going now. But remember: A great disaster is upon us. You need strength to survive it. So start taking combat classes and begin training your body from today!"

He had hardly only finished saying that with a grave expression on his face when a beam of light shot down from the sky and enveloped him.

It was so bright that it stung the eyes of Roselia & Arthur and forced them to look away.

The beam of light vanished a moment later, and they looked back at the spot Eugene was standing just a few seconds ago, but he was no longer there!

He had vanished from the surface of the world!
