@Chapter^3^: Mission in Progress

Next day-

Riri walking like a little doll on the street.

Jane:("So cute~)

Riri:[ glancing above to Jane] (eye contact: Let's us start.)

Jane:(I got it.)

Jane: Aaaa~! My stomach!

Riri: Oh no! What's wrong Jane!

Jane: Hurts…so much!

Riri: Lan(her personal knight and escort)! Please go find a doctor! We will be waiting by the nearby inn.

Lan:(confused what to do) Ah-right, little miss!

After Lan ran off to fetch a doctor Riri and Jane runs off to the nearby inn, '2nd Home'. At the counter-

Counter lady: How can I help you?[with a big cheerful smile, eyes closed]

Riri: Please show Jane a room to rest.

C.lady: Yes, miss. Moris, please help this lady to her room.

C.lady: And how can I help you?[smiling like before]

Riri:'Cupcake'.

C.lady:[opens her eyes while still smiling. Kinda looks creepy.]

C.lady: This way, please.

That lady takes Riri to a room and opens an Almirah. There is another door inside it which leads to a pair of stairs and climbing them they come to a room which is on the terrace and the door of the terrace is usually locked so no ones thinks about it and takes it granted for an empty or storage room.

'Cupcake' is the code for meeting the informant here.

Inside the room sits a middle aged man. Riri sits in front of him.

Man: I never ever thought to meet a 5 years old client.

Riri:[smiling]

Man: Um-cookies?[pushing the plate full of cookies towards her]

Riri:[keep smiling]

Man: So, what you might be looking for?

Riri: I want to know the crown prince's number.

Man: You look like a highly noble. Your family had might have his number.

Riri: ("They do. But I can't let anyone know I called the prince. Even if I had to steal the number I still would have needed someone who knows me to know."). No, they don't.

Man: ("it's not an expensive or that important information. Seems like the kid wants to befriend the prince. Ho ho.") So, what am I getting in exchange for?

Riri: Information.

Man:[Chuckling] Let me hear it first.

Riri: The one who stole the 'Earrings of Destiny' is none other than the previous empress's younger brother.

Man:[Eyes widened] For real?! How do you know?!!

'Earrings of Destiny' is a one and only pair of earrings in the world. There is legend comes down with it. That if a pair of lover wear it they will be always together. It's royal treasure meant for the emperor and empress on their wedding. Among the 2 earrings, one is for the emperor and one is for the empress.

Riri: That's confidential. But if you have to share this information with the police you will be highly compensated. Many police officers come here for investigation of course. It's more valuable than the information you are going to share. Of course I am not telling you to believe me blindly.

Riri:[Stands up] I am going to come again after you have confirmed it.

Man: And how will you know when to come?

Riri: [chuckles a little] well, when the culprit is caught and it's made to public.

Man:( This kid is too mature than she looks.)I'll be waiting for you.

She comes down the way she came and goes to Jane. Looks like Lan came with the doctor just now. The doctor is about to check Jane. And Jane was asking for help with her eyes. Riri stops the doctor and lies that Jane became better after taking the medicine an inn lady gave. She then starts chatting with the doctor and like everyone the doctor was swayed by her cuteness. Riri gives him a few Tinker bells, a flower that glows at night and has a high level healing properties, which are expensive here as it's a flower from an island outside of this empire. It grows in the green house of Riri's home too. The doctor, very much pleased,gives her some lollipops. Lan takes back the doctor to his place.

Jane: We're you able to complete your mission little miss?

Riri: Yep~.

Riri didn't even tell Jane about her mission not because she doesn't trust her but because it might become a threat for her. It's just a simple thing but no one can tell when something can be used against someone. If you know an information which someone wants or wants to hide they can harm you.

When Lan comes back they all hops into the carriage and comes back to the mansion.( A carriage is used for travelling little distances as it doesn't pollutes the air like a car)
