30 Chapter-30: Sasuke Defects!

(Sasuke POV)

It's been a day since Kazuya asked me to complete this S-rank mission and I was ambushed tonight after I finished my training.

With use of my 3-tomoe sharingan, I could've easily defeated at least 3 of these 'Sound fours' as they call themselves but I refrained from doing that.

I intentionally used the curse mark too but it seems these guys also received one from Orochimaru.

When they started to entice me with power, I put on an act and mocked my twin brother, Kazuya.

It was enraging to mock my own family in front of such nobodies.

I also got a lot of information about the curse mark.

They also started to use name of that hateful big brother of mine, to make me grab the bait.

It was enraging to even hear his name.

"This kind of village is nothing more than shackle you! Cut your stupid ties to this place. Don't forget your true objective!" The strange two headed dude said and all four of them left.

I went to home and found Kazuya was sitting there, with some sake.

"So they came huh?" Kazuya said.

"They did." I said.

"Make sure to not lose yourself. A sword will always be hanging right above your head, all the time during the mission. One mistake will get you killed." Kazuya said.

"I will accomplish this mission. I am your brother, after all. I will start packing my stuff now. I need to leave." I said.

"Wait. Take this." He said as he threw a very small box towards me.

I caught it and looked inside.

It had 2 rings inside.

Both were simple metal ring with Heal and Attack written in Kanji.

I looked at him questioningly and he answered.

"This box has 2 rings and all of them are one time use item. One is filled with healing chakra that will heal you fully and other is filled with my own chakra that will refill your reserves. Only use them in life-threatening situation." He said.

"Thanks, Brother. I will make sure to use them." I said.

I took the rings out of the box and wore both them in my index fingers.

On left hand, I had the Heal ring and on right hand, I had attack ring.

I started pack up and promptly left.

After going outside, I walked for a while to get out of Konoha through the Village gate.

On my way, I saw Sakura.

"Why are you hanging around in a place like this in middle of the night?" I asked her.

"One has to pass down this road to leave the village." She said.

"Go home and sleep. I am not dealing with you. I have better things to do." I said as I walked past her.

"Why...Why won't you tell me anything? Why are you always silent like that? You won't tell me even a single thin-" She said but I cut her off.

"Why should I tell you anything about me? You know what...I will tell you something right now." I said as I smiled a little and she was smiling brightly.

"Keep your damn nose out of my business. One strike is enough to kill a weakling like you." I said coldly.

I hated her.

I envied her.

She had everything I wanted to not lose.

But she is just ungrateful about it.

Parents, friends, an ordinary life...everything I once had.

I loved my parents dearly but they are gone now.

She still got them but whines every now and then about them.

I had friends in my clan, but they're dead.

She has friends but she broke her friendship with some of them for no reason other than to pursue me.

I had an ordinary life but it all changed after Itachi massacred the clan.

She still has an ordinary life but doesn't like it at all.

She whines about her life.

I was always alone...Only my twin brother Kazuya was truly there for me.

She was with everyone else.

I truly hated her.

"I...make you dislike me all the time, don't I? Do you remember? We just became genin and the five man cell were assigned...You and I were alone here, at this very spot. You got mad at me." She said.

"I do remember. That was the day, I started to truly hate you. You never understood the meaning of what I said back then...I will recite it for you again. 'Solitude isn't same as being as being scolded by one's parents.' Remember these lines and contemplate them till you understand the meaning." I responded.

"Sasuke-kun...I...I know about your family, Sasuke-kun...but revenge...that won't bring anyone happiness. No one...Neither you nor Kazuya." She said.

"I didn't expect this...We brother are different from you all. We walk a path that isn't compatible with rest of you. We strived together with each other...All five of us...I also thought that this is my own road. But in the end, After seeing the madness in Kazuya's eyes manifesting, gnawing him like a plague...Being made aware of my weakness...Being unable to do anything about it...To watch my parents die over and over again...518,400 times....I decided on revenge. That is my reason for living now. I cannot...or rather I will not become like you or Naruto."

"Are you going to isolate yourself, Sasuke-kun?! You taught me that solitude is a very rough thing that time, Sasuke-kun. Now I know exactly how you feel. I have both family and friends... But if you were no longer here, Sasuke-kun...for me...for me it would be same as solitude." She said as she cried.

"You don't understand anything, Sakura. From now on, we're going to start walking our new paths individually." I said.

"I...! I love you very very much, Sasuke-kun! You will definitely find happiness if you stay here, Sasuke-kun. I'll do anything for you, Sasuke-kun! So...I'm begging you...please stop...If not, then take me with you...Please..." She said.

"I already have enough baggage currently...I wouldn't need more. You really are annoying." I said as I started to walk away.

"Don't go! If you do...I will scream and..!" She said but I just flickered behind her.

"You think everything is fun and games huh? Everything has a happy ending? You do not know what it means to suffer." I said as I 15 hand seals and kneaded my chakra crudely.

"Now Sakura...Suffer. Genjutsu: Deadlight Horror!"

She was put in a genjutsu and fell on the ground.

(In Genjutsu world)

Sakura was tied up to chair along with everyone she loved.

All her friends, family as well as Sasuke.

Everyone was screaming in pain because a strange creature was eating them with an ecstatic face.

"Now everyone, It's time to get the dessert." One of them said with a vile laugh.

The vile clown like creatures came towards her started to eat her too.

She was suffering every second as the pain was too much but no matter what...she couldn't even faint.

It started yet again...

And again...

And again...

And went on for about continuously...

She forgot the count after 12...

(Out of genjutsu world)

This genjutsu will do.

I intentionally made a sloppy one without my sharingan so that she doesn't die.

After exiting the village, I saw that sound four were kneeling on the ground.

"We were waiting for you, Sasuke-sama." The two headed dude said.

"What are your intentions?" I inquired.

"It was already decided that you will be our leader the moment you exited the village. Please forgive our rudeness up to now." He said as all four lowered their heads.

"I don't care about such things. Let us move quickly. That brother of mine will catch up in no time if he is aware of this." I said.

"Of course...We should get going." The 6 handed dude said.

(Kotetsu POV)

I woke up early in the morning, as usual.

The bird were chirping, fresh air was blowing gently and I was refreshed after waking up.

I took a bath, had some breakfast and wore my ninja uniform.

I rushed to Izumo's house which was adjacent to my own.

"Oi Izumo! Come out! We need get the usual reports for Hokage-sama!" I said out loud.

He came out in his ninja uniform too.

""Let's go now!"" We both said simulatanously.

We collected all the reports from the village and after an hour, We were going towards Hokage's office with all the reports.

But today, we encountered a girl on our way.

She was curled up in a ball on the bench and murmuring something.

"Go home girl! You will catch a cold like this!" Izumo said.

She didn't respond.

"Oi girl! For goodness sake, such a person...Oi Izumo! Hold these documents for a while." I said as I placed all the reports in Izumo's hands.

I moved towards her to ask her to go home but I was shocked to see her.

Her face had a heavy black circles under her eyes and dried up snot and tears.

Her eyes were still twitching a bit.

I shook her up a bit.

"Oi wake up!" I said.

She saw me and after seeing me...screamed.

"Iamsorry.pleasestopsasuke-kun.Iamsorry.pleasestopsasuke-kun.Iamsorry.pleasestopsasuke-kun.Iamsorry.pleasestopsasuke-kun.Iamsorry.pleasestopsasuke-kun.Iamsorry.pleasestopsasuke-kun..." She kept on repeating as she curled up in a ball.

Is she insane or something?

Then I saw her face and recognized her.

She was part of one of the teams that participated in chunin exams when our previous Hokage-sama died!

Isn't she that Sakura girl from 5th Hokage-sama's team?!

"What happened girl?" I tried asking her but she was still murmuring.

What did she even see to get under such horrific condition?

"Izumo! It's a serious situation. Go to Hokage-sama's office and inform him that one of his students, Haruno Sakura is in danger. I quickly will take her to Hospital." I said.

He nodded at me and rushed with documents in his hands towards Hokage's office.

I knocked the girl out and took her to hospital fast and waited for Hokage-sama to arrive.

(MC POV)

It was morning time.

Sasuke has already defected by now.

It is time to act today.

I lazily woke up from my bed, brushed my teeth and took a bath.

I sat on the dining table now.

Currently Haku was preparing some breakfast for me.

I brought her out of my dimension to sleep together last night.

"Here is your breakfast, Kazuya-sama." She said in a polite tone.

"Thanks, Haku." I said as I started eating my breakfast.

After finishing my breakfast, I went to my office.

When I arrived, I saw that Izumo was standing outside the office.

I know I was on time this morning and aren't you supposed to be with Kotetsu?

"What are you doing out of my office? I know I was a little late than my usual timing but I was still on time." I said.

"It is a bad situation Hokage-sama! Genin Haruno Sakura was found outside in a bad condition and was taken to the Konoha hospital by Kotetsu! Please follow me!" He said.

"Let's go." I said as I started following him to Konoha hospital.

What did even happen? Did Sasuke or the Sound four do something to her?

I went to the hospital and asked the nurse for her room.

She gave us the room number and I went towards the room.

When I came into room, I saw a shivering Sakura who was curled up in a ball and murmuring something.

"Genjutsu..." I said.

I used my sharingan to forcibly calm her down.

"Sakura! What happened?!" I asked her but she didn't say anything.

I slapped her face once. Maybe she will remember now?

"I will ask you again Sakura...What happened?" I asked.

"H-H-H-Hokage-sam-m-m-a. Sasuke went out of the village. H-He left. Because of O-O-Orochimaru." She said as she stuttered.

"And what happened to you?" I asked.

"H-H-He used a genjutsu on m-m-me." She said in frightened tone.

That little devil.

He finally used the Deadlight horror on her.

And here I thought I would get a better reaction out of her.

"So the snake enticed him huh?" I said.

"Izumo and Kotetsu. Call Shikamaru Nara and all other genins in Sasuke's batch." I said as I ran back to Hokage's office.

It is about time.

Things will finally move now.

Become strong and awaken Rinnegan, Sasuke.

I will wait for you to get strong.
