54 Brian vs ghost (1)

(Author's warning: The character illustrations are in the auxiliary chapter. Charles will still take some time, because I haven't thought about what his design will be, but when he makes his first appearance in volume 2, I will send you his image. Thanks and happy reading (^-^)

Brian looked at the destruction and noticed that it had all started.

He looked at Balthazar who was calm and asked:

"What is their purpose in attacking the crime empires?"

Balthazar stood up, handed Brian the envelope and replied:

"Guard that envelope like it's your life."

Brian took the envelope, but didn't understand why Balthazar handed it to him and asked:

"What is this?"

Balthazar sat down again and answered:

"My innate ability, allows me to see the future and read souls, and the future of humanity, is described in that envelope, so don't lose it."

Brian was surprised by this information, but it did not show on his face.

Balthazar gave Brian a look and asked:

"Can you deactivate your bomb? It might end up exploding."

Brian put the envelope away and replied as he climbed in the window:

"There never was a bomb, it's just a Christmas toy."

Balthazar was disappointed and said sadly:

"Damn, if I had had mana left over to use my skill again, I would have made more money..."

Balthazar looked at Brian and asked:

"Why are you chasing the ghost?"

Brian was trying to locate the ghost using his innate ability of absolute control (Wind).

(Brian was sending wind imbued with his mana and anything the wind touched that had at least one drop of mana would immediately be tagged to him as if he was using wall hack).

After a few seconds, he finally found 3 people suspected to be the ghost and replied:

"I want to have a little dialogue with him."

He finished speaking and jumped out of the window that was 300 feet off the ground, but just as gravity was going to start pulling him down, he used his Absolute Control (Wind) skill and started flying towards the 3 suspicious people.

Balthazar looked at him flying and ran to the window and shouted angrily:

"Bastard, who will save humanity if you die?!"

30 class A criminals and 3 class S criminals, looked shocked at an innocent looking girl, she had pink hair and green eyes, but behind her, there was a mountain of severed bodies.

Ellie looked at the men staring at her and said as she cracked a macabre smile:

"So many men, the boss is really generous to offer me so many."

The A class criminals, were scared, they knew they would die easily to that woman, but the S class criminals, said trying to boost morale:

"Fear not, she is only an S-class! If we fight together, we will win!"

The rest of the criminals, were relieved, but to end their false hopes, a man appeared from the heavens and landed right next to Ellie.

A smoke screen was created around the pair and tension began to take over, but to end that anxiety, they heard a male voice from within the smoke screen:

"Why don't you let me have some fun too?"

They were startled to notice that the man, was another S-class.

Suddenly, to their surprise, the two started arguing inside the smokescreen:

"They are mine, Klaus! I saw them first!"

"Shut up, you bitch, I saw them first!"

"What? You called me what? Say it again so I can kill you!"

"Bitch! Are you deaf now?"

"I'll kill you, you bald fuck!"

"I still have hair you cow!"

Suddenly, the two started fighting and the smoke screen started to disappear.

The criminals didn't understand why this was happening, but they decided to take advantage of the situation and immediately, advanced on them.

Klaus and Ellie, were so focused on their fight that they didn't even notice the criminals advancing on them.

Just as the criminals were about to close the distance to 5 meters, someone appeared in front of Klaus and Ellie.

The man, who had red hair and golden eyes, attacked the ground and created a huge crack that stopped the criminals from advancing.

Beelzebub looked calmly at Ellie and Klaus, who were struggling and said as he closed his eyes and acted like an actor:

"Since there is no one else willing to kill these terrible men, then I will do it myself!"

Immediately, Klaus and Ellie stopped fighting and looked at Beelzebub and said at the same time:

"They are mine!"

"They are mine!"

Beelzebub smiled and said:

"What do you think about a contest between you two? The one who kills the most, wins!"

Klaus and Ellie were smiling, they were now going to compete against each other, but they still had a doubt and Ellie asked:

"Whoever wins, wins what?"

Beelzebub thought for a while and snapped his fingers when he had a brilliant idea and answered:

"Whoever loses, will have to do all the cleaning of our hideout, including the bathroom! And whoever wins, I will give as a prize, the information on how not to be condemned to hell when you die. So, is that good for you? Remembering that this is a pact."

Klaus and Ellie agreed to the terms of the pact together, and immediately advanced against the criminals.

Beelzebub looked at the killing going on and was pleased, and just as he was about to start pursuing Balthazar, he noticed someone approaching him like a guided missile and asked himself:

'Who is the madman coming towards me?'

He looked up into the clouds and noticed that he was there, and like an extremely fast arrow, Brian went through the cloud and advanced on Beelzebub.

Beelzebub noticed someone coming towards him, but something caught his attention. He looked at the man's hand and saw a broken sword, it seemed to be missing half of its blade.

But strangely enough, Beelzebub felt afraid of that blade, it was something his instincts were telling him.

Brian advanced on Beelzebub at a speed that exceeded the sound barrier and attacked him using his broken sword.

Beelzebub saw the attack coming and easily dodged it and decided to gain distance, to get information about that sword. But the moment he moved away, Brian gave him no time and used his absolute control ability (Atoms) and controlled all the atoms on the ground in a radius of 150 meters and blew them all up.

Beelzebub was forced to go into the clouds to avoid being hit by the attack, but already foreseeing this action, Brian again used his absolute control ability (Atoms) and said to the system:

'Help me control the cloud atoms!'

Immediately, Brian's eyes, turned blue and the system began to help him control precisely the atoms in the cloud.

Time seemed to have stopped for Brian, his vision was blurred by ultra fast calculations being made and after a few seconds, the system gave him all the answers in his brain and said:

'finished, sir!'

Brian received all this information in his brain and quickly started circulating his mana around his sword and launched it into the clouds.

(For Brian to control atoms, his mana needs to be in contact with the object, matter etc...)

Beelzebub was flying in the skies and noticed the sword coming towards him, but he easily dodged it and said:

"I think you need to improve your aim."

Brian shook hands and said:

"200 volts is already fatal for ordinary humans, 100,000 for the awakened, but 100 million, can it be fatal for a demon?"

Beelzebub understood Brian's true attack and widened his eyes, but it was already too late. Suddenly, thousands of lightning bolts, came out of the clouds and struck Beelzebub.

Beelzebub being caught off guard by the attack, was hit hard in every part of his body.

Ellie and Klaus, who had managed to survive the explosion that Brian had created, came out of the rubble and looked up into the sky and the view was truly impressive.

Although it was daytime, those lightning bolts created a light so intense that it literally made the entire city glow extravagantly.

Brian looked at Beelzebub who was writhing in the air and thought he was already dead, after all, his eyes were completely cloudy.

He stopped his attacks and noticed that Beelzebub was completely burned.

(His appearance was that of a coal.)

The hell horseman, not being able to withstand the billions of volts in his body, fell from the sky towards the ground, but to Brian's surprise, the system told him:

'The demon is still alive sir, I think you had better use the hand of God and kill him now'

Brian nodded and quickly, advanced on Beelzebub who lay almost dead on the ground.

As he ran, he stretched his right arm out to the side and said:

"Come back to me!"

The sword that Brian had thrown, suddenly began to levitate in the air and went towards Brian like a bullet.

Brian calculated that, considering his speed, if he jumped with all his momentum, when he touched the ground, he would be in front of Beelzebub. So he jumped, and when he was in the air, the broken sword fit perfectly in his right hand.

Brian started to descend directly towards Beelzebub and pointed his sword at Beelzebub's skull and mentally said:

'Minus one!'

But to his surprise, when it was only a few inches before it pierced the demon's skull, a man in a black suit and a white mask with no holes in it stepped in front of Brian and defended the blow using only one finger.

A shock explosion was created when the sword and the man's finger collided.

Brian looked confused and shocked by this, but quickly recovered and backed up at full speed and went into guard.

Brian looked at the masked man and thought:

'Ghost.... I couldn't even feel his presence, and he still managed to defend my attack with a single finger.'

Ghost turned to Beelzebub and crouched down and began to look at Beelzebub's condition.

Brian was surprised and thought again:

'We are on the battlefield and this guy turned his back on me.... Does he think I'm not a threat? Let me see his "Status"!'

To Brian's surprise, the system said:

'Sorry sir, I can't read that man's stats.'

Brian didn't understand and asked:

'Why?'

'He is someone who has more authority than me sir, but thanks to that, we can draw some conclusions about this man: He is not human and he is someone stronger than you sir. I recommend that you stay away.'

Brian heard this information and decided to steady his breathing and wait for the ghost's next move.

After the ghost saw Beelzebub's condition, he looked over and saw two people trying to hide and said:

"Klaus and Ellie, take Beelzebub back and ask yuriel to heal him."

Klaus and Ellie, came out of their hiding places and ran to Beelzebub and said:

"Yes boss!"

The ghost looked at Klaus taking beelzebub in his lap and started walking to Brian.

Ellie noticed that a fight was about to start and asked in surprise:

"Boss, are you going to take care of things yourself?"

He continued to walk calmly and replied:

"I'll just teach him a lesson, then I'll back off."

Ellie wanted to stay and watch the fight unfold, but she knew her boss wouldn't like that and quickly started walking away with Klaus and Beelzebub.

Brian noticed that the masked man, had stopped a few feet away from him and asked:

"Why don't you take off that mask? It seems to make your voice a little thick."

The masked man did not answer and continued to stare at Brian.

Brian knew that the fight had already started, and deciding to concentrate as much as possible, he mentally said:

'Join me, system!'

Suddenly, Brian's eyes began to turn blue again and Brian advanced on the ghost, the fight had finally begun....
