1 Wishes

My name is Ryota, i live in Portugal and i am 18 years old.

I love comics a lot and i spent hours of my life reading them.

It's been two years since i left school and that was due to the health condition of my mother.

In fact, i had to work to pay her medical bills and i am glad the she now is getting better and better.

Seems like i will soon reap the fruits of my work.

One day

"I'm working every day and today should be the last because my mom, will soon be released from the-"

He was interrupted by his half shattered phone ringing.

It was his mom.

"I can't believe it! They already released her!" He said in joy while accepting the call!

"Hey Honey!" his mom said to him on the phone with a tone that seemed that she was almost crying.

"You don't need to work hard for me anymore, Honey! Sorry! Sorry a lot! You even had to leave school for me...sob...sob" she said while crying on the phone.

"Mom, stop! I didn't do all this work to hear you cry! In this moment i only want you to smile and to be happy!" said Ryota holding tears.

"Now, mom, stay there, i'll come to pick you up, immediately!"

"Okay, Honey!" She said whit an happy voice to make his son happy, which succeded.

After closing the call, he immediately went out from the bar, where he was working, running.

"Hey, where are you going!?!" Shouted his boss seing him running.

"I resign!" He exclaimed while throwing his work uniform which left him with only a t-shirt on.

He runned as fast as he could and since he didn't have a car, he ran by foot to the hospital.

After five minutes of running without stopping, he was sweating more than he ever did, but didn't feel tired, because only the thought of seeing his mom in health gave him endless energy.

He finally reached the hospital and he finally saw his mom on the other side of the road.

"Mom!"

"Ryota!"

They shouted in choir, with tears coming from both their eyes.

Then his mom started running in the middle of the road to reach him and hug him.

But as she was running a drunk driver driving a truck was speeding and was about to hit her.

Seeing this Ryota shouted "Attention, Mom!" while running as fast as he could to save his mom.

He reached her and managed to touch her but it was already to late since the truck hit both of them, killing both of them.

"Why? After all i have done? Why can't just one of my wishes come true? Why did my mom die too? What a shitty life was mine!"

This was his last thought before closing his eyes while he was hugging his mother covered by blood.

He woke up.

The absolute void was in front of him

"What is happening? Where am I?"

"Hi, poor soul" a beautiful and familiar voice said.

Hearing that voice, Ryota turned in the direction of the voice and saw a very familiare figure.

"Mom!" He shouted in joy seeing her.

"Poor soul, i am not who you see" the entity responded with a calm and relaxing voice.

"What are you saying, mom?" He questioned with a doubtful face.

"I don't have an identity, i take the form of what the person in front of me wants to see. I assume you really love your family." Said the entity.

"Then who are? Are you perhaps God?"

"Great! You guessed it! I am God!"

"You are here, so you can send me to hell or to heaven, right?" Said Ryota.

"No! I've watched as i watch all of you, my sons, and i have noticed that even though you were a man supposed to achieve greatness, you didn't and the reverse happened to you!"

"I was supposed to achieve greatness? Don't make me laugh! Not even once did i have luck! I was born with shitty talents, ugly and a luck so bad that a human can't even imagine it! And i worked the hardest i could in everything! So don't you dare say that i was supposed to achieve greatness as if it was my fault"

Then God watching him getting angry said "First of all, don't get angry at me!"

As it said that Ryota felt an incredibile pression.

"Second! Sorry, it was my fault! When you were born i accidentaly swapped your glorious fate with that of the baby next to you, which had the "shitty" fate, as you call it!"

"So it was your fault that i suffered this much!" Ryota thought in his mind angry as he couldn't talk due to the pressure of God.

"Yes, it was my fault for your suffering!"

"It can read my mind" Ryota thought.

"Yes, i can do it! I am God after all!"

After saying this, the entity released the pressure, making Ryota able to talk again.

Before letting Ryota speaker, God said "Now, as an apologize for my mistake, i'll grant you four wishes!"

"Four wishes! Anything i ask!" Said Ryota in excitement.

"Yes, anything, except becoming God, that is!"

"So, what's your first wish?" God asked.

"As my first wish i want my mom to survive from the accident that we just had and to live an happy life, making her forgot about me to not let her suffer anymore!" Ryota said whit tears on his face.

"What an amazing son! Your wish shall be granted!" Said God while making it happen.

"God, can you please show me her just a last time?"

"Yes" it said while making a screen out of a mysterious energy.

As soon as Ryota saw that his mom was fine, he was happy but after watching the moments later, he was shocked.

His beautiful mom was having s*x with her doctor.

"At least she is alive!" He said with an annoyed face, before turning to God again.

"Then as an appreciation to you, i won't count this as a wish! You have now three wishes left!" God said.

"Then as my second wish i'll ask something that i always wished, make me reincarnate into a world from the comics i've read!"

"It shall be done! You will reincarnate in the world of Martial Peak!"

"Martial Peak! That's a pretty difficult one!"

"Now as my second wish, i'll ask to have a systems that tells me my status and such things!"

"Sorry, but that power it's too big for a mere mortal! Chose another one!"

"Ok, then, i wish to have the ability to copy the abilities, physiques, talents... all!

"Sorry, but that power it's too big for a mere mortal!"

"Again! But you said everything!"

"Yes i indeed said tha-"

As he talked, his presence was decreasing and Ryota felt something inside him.

"What i am being absorbed by a mere mortal! How is this possible?" God said.

"Shit, that damn witch that put the curse on me that i'll use all my power to maintain my promises! Fuck, you stupid bitch! He said while being completely absorbed by Ryota.

"I absorbed God? I am now doubting that he was really God!"

After he said that a sound "Ding" he heard and a lot of screens appeared in front of him.

[The host has been bounded to the Martial System!]

[The Host has acquired the ability Copy!]

[The host will now reincarnate!]

"So many messages..." he shouted in excitement, but was interrupted because he was slowly losing consciousness.
