Sparring with Scarlet.

A week quickly passed by after I told Tess about my previous life and what happened inside the dungeon. I was walking through the corridors of the school to an indoor training room where Scarlet was waiting for me. Scarlet said she wanted to test my strength as she now knew I was holding back on multiple occasions.

I walked down the long white corridors and noticed I had many stares wandering around my body.

'Why is everyone staring?' I thought to myself.

Everyone who walked past me would stare at me and their gazes would linger.

'Doesn't matter. They can do as they wish.'

I made my way to the end of the corridor and entered the indoor training room.

"Kiera."

"Scarlet." I said greeting Scarlet as I walked through the dark wooden double doors.

Upon entering I noticed it was just Scarlet and I so she must have realised I didn't want to show or tell anyone of my strength.

"I'll briefly explain. In essence it's just a spar really but I'm going to test your strength and push you to your limits. I can sense your strength and aura seeping from your body. We will fight once I've seen your full strength. You don't have to show me your dragon form so don't worry, I know you don't want to show it."

"Alright. I'm fine with that since you know my strength. Well a fraction of it but my aura? I didn't now I was releasing one. I'll have to learn how to hide that." I said.

"You might want to do that soon as the strongest people of the academy are returning in a week or two from their missions for the tournament. They will without a doubt notice your aura. They are very sensitive to that kind of stuff." Scarlet chuckled a little.

"Alright let's begin. Come at me." Scarlet said as she took her stance.

"I'm allowed to use magic and physical or just one at a time?" I asked taking a stance but a more relaxed one to Scarlets.

"You can use both. I'm good at magic and physical as well so don't hold back." She replied as I jumped at her with Adonis at my side with the tip of the blade pointing behind me. I used [Inferno] and [Wind enhancer] to enhance my sword and set it ablaze. I also used [Wind enhancer] to enhance my body but mainly my legs and arms.

My blade came crashing down on top of Scarlets as it ripped through the air with flames crackling and sent a pressure off surrounding us.

'Hm. I wonder if I could use this as training and use other elements as well?'

"Holding back?"

"Can I use my other elements?" I asked.

"You mean celestial? Sure, if you know how to use it."

"Not celestial. I'm still trying to figure it out. I'm talking about sub elements." I said, 'I'm not showing her that I have all the elements.'

"Go on."

Just like that I used a little less strength in my arms and Scarlet used that to slash at me which pushed me back which is what I wanted.

'I can use wind and fire so can I use lightning? I'm assuming I can wield the Lightning's strength and speed. That'll help me out greatly.' I thought as I imagined myself wielding a bolt of lighting.

Sparks of electricity formed above the hand I held out and formed the lightning i desired.

I then imagined the lightning running through my veins and increasing my speed and strength.

Bolts of lightning encased me and got sent into my veins to then begin the process.

The lightning was absorbed by my body and flowed through me. I felt my body brim with energy and I dashed forwards at Scarlet. In less than a second I was in front of her. A trail of lightning was left behind me as I moved. My flames and lightning both crackled.

My speed surprised Scarlet as well as myself but Scarlet recovered in a split second and blocked my blow with her sword. From my speed and power I quickly slashed down almost cutting into Scarlet.

"Almost got me there. I've learnt to not underestimate my opponents thanks to that massive bear boss." Scarlet said as she skidded away from my sword.

Without warning Scarlet was charging at me and our swords clashed once more. Scarlet kept moving her sword in short and fast movements and I matched her speed. Both of us causing the sound of clashing metal to fill the room.

'This won't work. I'll need to up my skill.' I thought.

'If my movements were flexible so I could change its direction before they collide I might be able to hit her.' I decided to try this out.

I imagined my sword as an extension of my body. Moving to my will like the ever changing winds and currents of the water that glide smoothly over the surface hiding the strong undercurrents that can sweep you up.

My movements became more controlled. Even if I mastered the sword I only learnt the basics. I needed skills and techniques to make me unstoppable. My sword clashed once more with Scarlets and she has yet to notice the change i just went through.

Our swords were about to clash again as I quickly redirected my sword past hers and to her body while side stepping away from her sword as to not get hit.

My swords tip brushed against her clothing and seared the fabric while the lightning sparked on the outside.

Scarlet jumped back before my sword actually got to her pale skin but I left a big cut across her clothing.

"Didn't expect you to pull that on me! When did you learn that?! That takes a long time to make the blade move like that." Scarlet said in shock as she touched the mark I left on her clothes.

"Just now." I shrugged with my face still not showing even an ounce of emotion.

"Guess I got to fight harder. Wait what! You learnt that just now! Incredible.." Scarlet muttered the last bit to herself.

"Right! Let's continue!" Scarlet said dashing forward.
