4 Siblings and knowledge.

(A/N - I'm bad at making up names okay, don't be too harsh.)

4 months have passed and since then I have been trying to be more active like learning to crawl, walk, roll, sit up and some more basic movements and so far so good. I've also been speaking a bit but my pronunciation is still a little off sometimes.

In my time when I'm with my mother she would read out some books she had, although she thought I wouldn't understand them so she tried to make it easier to understand.

What I've learnt about this world so far is that the planet I'm currently on is called Yerseild and is 4x bigger than earth. Yerseild has a total of 5 continents which are named Harpsferd - the human dominant continent which mainly consists of grasslands, helendrilt - the dwarven dominant continent that is rocky on the most part, Sarey - the elven dominant continent that consists of mainly woods or forests with many lakes and rivers flowing here and there, Lingrenzal - the beast kin dominant country which is the second largest continent and has the most biomes with a grand total of 6 biomes where Harpsferd only has 4. The 6 biomes are the snowy biome, volcanic biome, grassland biome, forest biome, desert biome and the mountainous biome. The last and largest continent is Defulquat - the demonic creature dominant continent which has the most resources with more than Harpsferd and Lingrenzal combined. The demonic infused creatures are said to be more aggressive than regular beasts but demons which are humanoids are slightly more aggressive than humans by nature.

Harpsferd (human continent) on a map is in the top left and just below more to the right is Sarey (elven continent). In the centre is Defulquat (demonic creatures continent) and the top right is Helendrilt (dwarven continent) and below that almost touching Defulquat is Lingrenzal (beast kin continent).

Currently where I am is a country which isn't placed on any continent but above Defulquat and Lingrenzal about 3/4 over Defulquat and 1/4 over Lingrenzal. The country I'm in is a floating island made of mountains and a few small volcanoes called Barself. It hovers over the volcanic biome of Lingrenzal.

I've also learnt a bit about my kind, Dragons. Dragon eggs are laid very rarely and male dragons are hatched more commonly than females with a 9:1 ratio meaning in one egg there is a 10% chance of it being female with 90% chance of it being male. I've also found out it takes 10 years for dragon eggs to hatch but I only took 9 which was why my mother was a bit surprised I hatched. Dragon baby's grow twice the speed of humans and have a closer relationship with mana and can see spirits allowing them to use spirit magic. By the age of 3 the draconic children will have a ceremony allowing them to transform into their dragon form for the first time and start learning magic.

Also from my mothers book I've learnt about the monsters of the world but I'll talk about them when I actually start fighting them or if I see them.

While asking what certain things were, I gained a skill called [Inspect] which allows me to see what objects and living beings are and their general status and I know this because I used it on a dead bird I saw my mum carrying but for some reason my skill is blocked when I use it on my mum.

8 months passed relatively quickly and the other eggs that were around me when I was born are due to hatch any second now and I'm sitting in mums lap watching patiently.

My bond with my mother has been improving significantly throughout my time in this new world and I'm enjoying it so far. Just a little. My mother seems to care for me dearly but as I don't really act like a normal child, like show my emotions, my mother gets a little worried but she knows nothing is wrong with me.

During those 8 months I've been practicing writing with my mother as it's a little different than regular English and I've been given some fantasy books made for children by my mum so I get can better at reading and to be honest they aren't that bad, I'd say they are pretty average maybe a bit better. I've also improved on talking and can speak normally and can walk properly without falling maybe a little stumble here and there but almost perfect.

Currently I'm the size of a 2 year old child when I'm only a year old and my tail along with my wings are growing and they've grown like what 4 inches? And my hair has started growing and is black just like my mothers.

Anyway mother and I were eagerly waiting for the eggs to hatch when one started to wiggle a little. My finger twitched as I leaned in a bit waiting patiently for my sibling to hatch. The egg wiggled again this time a small crack appeared on the top of the egg.

'It's happening'

The child kept wiggling inside the egg and adding more cracks for about a minute until the crack was large enough for it to break free.

"Grauw"

'That's a funny noise' I thought thinking back to see if I ever made that noise which I didn't.

"Aww this one has your fathers hair, look Kiera." My mother exclaimed while pointing to the soft lavender coloured hair.

"Pretty"

"I know right" mother said giggling.

I looked at the baby in front of me a bit closer and saw it had mother's eyes and father's soft lavender hair with a white tail with red tint towards the tips of the spikes and very small lavender colour feathers on her back.

'It seems like the eye colour indicates the tint on our tail spikes and our hair colour is the main colour of our tail and wings. That means I have purple eyes as my tail has a strong amethyst purple tint to the tips of my tail spikes. Hm pretty nice I guess.'

"Keira what do you recon we name her? I've got 2 names that come to mind. 1. Violet , 2. Phoenix."

"What made you come up with phoenix, aren't they orange and red flame colours?" I reply with a hint of confusion.

"That's true, the most common colours are the ones you described but there are Phoenix' that have a purple/red colour to them which reminds me of her hair and eye colour combo. So what do you think is better?"

"Umm I like violet better." I reply bluntly

"Alright then this child is now called Violet" My mother says grinning while placing her on my nest like bed.

Before I could ask my mum why she asked for my opinion on the naming process I heard a crack next to me and another baby pop it's head out from the top of the egg, same goes for the one next to it.

My mother walked over and picked them both up. They both looked exactly the same other than the one that got its head out first had a lavender streak in his black hair. Both baby's had red eyes and black hair and tails + feathers like mothers.

"Kiera the one on your left is Azazel and the one on your right is Aiden." My mother said placing them down by Violet.

'Okay so Azazel has the lavender streak in his hair. Got it.'

My mother and I waited for the last egg to hatch and what came out was a boy which looked exactly like me that my mother named Leo.

My mother, whom I remembered I didn't know the name of, placed Leo with the rest of the children in order of who was born first in a line, Violet, Azazel, Aiden and Leo born 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th in order respectively.

Mother approached me after humming the newborns to sleep and lifted me up into her arms before walking out of the room. I pushed on her shoulder allowing me to lean back a bit and I said to her..

"Mother, you know I helped name Violet and I know all my siblings names, I'm just wondering but what's your name?"

"Ah you wish to know why name," my mother laughed "you have do agree to keep calling me mother/mum or mummy though if I tell you though, okay?"

"Okay mummy."

"Good, well my name is Annalise but most dragons call me Anne or Anna though, it's not a very unique name."

'That's a pretty name if you ask me.'

Mother approached a stone door which I've never seen before and reached for the handle before turning to me asking me..

"Would you like to see my dragon form?"

"Ah, really? You'll let me see?"

"Sure, of course I will." mother said smiling knowing all the well that I wanted to see her dragon form.

Mother then opened the door revealing the outside of the cave where I saw clouds upon clouds flooding the sky and tops of mountains peaking through the clouds.

There was a big smoothed out area where my mother stood before glowing a red colour slowly rapping around her encasing her in a scarlet glowing light bathing the area around her in a ruby red colour. The light continued to shine brighter causing me to close my eyes shielding them before the light stopped. I slowly opened my eyes revealing a majestic looking black dragon with four big legs, long sharp spear tipped tail and spikes going from the top of her head down her back trailing her spine onto her tail until the end. The spikes, like before in her humanoid form, had a red tint towards the tip of the spikes. She had two horns placed on the top of her head where if it was and animal like a wolf would have their ears. She had a strong jaw and piercing red eyes that seemed to be slightly glowing and long majestic feathered wings of her back just below her shoulders of her front legs.

"Wow" I exclaimed looking eagerly upon my mother's dragon form.

My mother then transformed back producing the same red light encasing her body and surroundings making me, yet again, close my eyes before I went blind staring at the light.

"D'you like it Kiera?" My mother said proudly puffing out her chest before giggling and bending down lifting me up under my arms and wrapping a wing around me like when I was a newborn, then saying..

"Just kidding, it was cool though right?"

"It was awesome! Will I look like that as well?"

"Most likely but in the places I had red you'd have purple, oh and a lot smaller as when you first transform is for when your 3"

We then entered the cave again before going to the bedroom sitting down on the bed where mother taught me some more words and reading me a book where I followed along until I got a little drowsy ,yawning.

"Are you tired?" Mother spoke in a soft tone stroking my short hair.

"Yeah.."

"Go on then lie down."

Since I said I was tired we laid down to slowly and peacefully drift off to the land of dreams.
