Magic test.

We walked away from the training grounds that the physical test took place on with Tess leading the group. We soon arrived at another open area but there were benches and tables with test papers on.

Tess stepped to the side and an old woman came forward towards us. She had long grey hair and amber coloured eyes. She wore a cloak and had a staff with a red stone hovering above it. She then spoke to us.

"You will be tested of your magic knowledge and then you will be tested on your mana capacity along with your affinities. After that has been done you will be told to cast some spells and you will have to complete them. The spells you are required to cast will be spells from your elemental affinity so if you have a fire affinity you'll be told to cast fire spells same goes with other elements. Any questions? No? You may start when you are seated behind a test paper." She said.

We all sat down on the benches and I skimmed through the paper. I picked up the pen next to our sheet and began writing.

Name and age were to be written at the top before beginning the test. The questions were quite simple such as the formula to cast the basic spell fireball or water gun. The same simple questions went on for the first ten questions until some different questions appeared. What is the origin of mana and what are the four basic elements, still simple questions which were easy to answer.

The origin of mana was when monsters began to rise in this world. The appearance of monsters caused panic and armies were sent to fight them with weapons such as guns. The armies managed to kill of the monsters and they retreated back. From then on people around the world began to notice strange occurrences that happened and began trying to use said strange occurrences for themselves. This was when people began to notice a flow of 'mana' inside their body and began to experiment with it. From then on people started using the mana within themselves and became reliant on it. That was the beginning of it all but no one knows how long mana had existed before that as no one knew of it.

Of course the four basic elements were water, fire, earth and air and other elements branched off of them but there were two unusual elements which were celestial and null which had light and dark elements branch off of them along with many others.

From that point on was just about general knowledge of mana and the elements towards the final few questions at the end it said to name three or more elements that branch off of the main four elements. I wrote down ice, magma, lightning and nature as they were the most simple but there were many others.

The last three questions could be considered hard but I knew it from the amount of studying I did. It was about advanced spells and master spells. You had to write formula for several advanced spells and name some master spells but that was quite easy especially writing down some master spells.

Once I finished writing I closed my test paper and gave it to the examiner. It seemed everyone else was still writing so the examiner asked me if I wanted to test my affinities and mana capacity now which I agreed to.

"Follow me then."

She took me to a crystal ball just like the one from my ceremony at Alper.

"Please place your hand on the crystal ball."

I did as she said and i was thinking of how I could only show some of my elements and not all of them when I remembered what mother gave me when we went shopping.

It was a small bracelet that restricted my element use to only the ones I revealed from before which was fire, air and celestial. I had kept it in my [Spacial storage] and I quickly put it on without her noticing.

"Please channel your mana into the crystal."

I did exactly that and just like before an intense light came from the ball as it switched between the colours of my elements and the intensity of the light showed my high affinity.

"Oh my! Three elements and all of which have high affinities! You've gotten celestial as well, excellent! You'll be told to cast fire spells is that alright?"

"Yeah that's fine."

"Would you like to test your mana capacity now or with the rest of the group."

"With the rest of the group." I said as I didn't know what the average capacity was and it would be better to do it with the group as I didn't want to show all my power.

"Very well let's return to the rest." The examiner said looking happy after seeing my three elements.

We returned and I had to wait for 10 minutes for everyone to finish.

"Alright let's go test your affinities." The examiner said as she collected all the test papers.

We all followed her to where I was previously and everyone lined up but I stood with Tess.

"Why is she standing out?" One boy asked.

"She already tested her affinities before with me but she is doing the mana capacity with the rest of you. Now can the first person come up and test your elemental affinities."

The first person stepped up and placed their hand on the crystal ball channeling their mana into it.

"Fire, average affinity .Next"

"Water, low affinity. Next"

"Water, high affinity. Next"

"Earth and fire, high and average affinities in that respective order."

Everyone tested their affinities and it was then time for everyone to test their mana capacity and I was in the middle of the line.

The group all went up and were told to pour all of their MP out until it was drained into another crystal ball and it shone the results once they were done.

Eventually it was my turn. Everyone was getting in the range of MP:[120-190] so I decided to do mid two hundreds.

"I'm not surprised anymore." Some people said.

"She is either a genius or she has trained extremely hard." Another responded.

They were all whispering but I could hear that. They didn't need to know that though.

Once everyone was done we went out and were told to fire off some basic spells for attacking, defending and everyday use.

We all finished and it was time for the written test that many were not looking forward to.
