71 Fighting the majority of the apes alone.
My sword tore through the fur and skin of the apes as if it wasn't even there in the first place and then burnt the rest of the unfortunate being which crossed my path and was deemed my enemy. Apes surrounded me and began to close in to which I responded with creating multiple swords of lightning and sent them directly at the apes chest at the location of their hearts. The lightning crackled and zapped upon contact making the apes have a spasm before dying.
More apes launched themselves at me while others decided to throw rocks at me from afar. Making arrows of flames, air and lightning, I sent them flying at the apes that attacked from a distance while my sword ripped apart flesh of those that came in close.
"SCREEEE-"
Apes were being killed by me left, right and centre while letting out screeching noises as they perished under the top of my flaming blade that glowed, lighting up the dimly lit forest.
Pouncing forwards and taking initiative, I pierced my sword through three apes at once as if I was skewering them before they burnt to ashes as slowly fell to the ground as I pile of ash.
The apes began to fear me after killing so many with such ease so they began to back off slightly and fear me along with my blade.
Apes began to rush me but with sticks or poorly made stone tools or rusted metal weapons they had came across.
An ape jumped at me with a rusted metal sword in front of it as it fell towards me. I held my sword up and the tip of it touched the apes rusted sword causing it to break and the ape then fell head first to the tip of my blade, getting pierced before sliding down towards the hilt.
Slashing down I allowed the body to drop from my blade before, just like the rest, burn into ash.
The group of apes not being discouraged and still believing they could win charged at me. A group of 9 to be precise. All of which had either a stick or terribly made stone tool. One held what looked to be a shovel and tried to hit me on my head which I just stepped out of the way making it stagger forward allowing my blade to glide through its body, slicing it in half.
The other eight surrounded me and charged forward while one of them jumped up to hit me on my head. A terrible plan as they all died from my air bullets that went through their skulls leaving a hole that blood gushed out of.
Their attacks were getting repetitive and sluggish making it easier and easier for me to kill and move on from ape to ape. The apes began to make more plans like using the trees to their advantage and throwing anything sharp at me. They hopped from branch to branch and used the leaves to cover themselves but because of my enhanced senses and [Mastered spacial awareness] it didn't work for them and were all promptly killed.
"Oi! I swear you said only 78 so why is there a shit ton more!" I heard Jayden shout at whoever he was speaking to, probably the knights since they said there was 78 but he could have been cussing at someone else for all I know.
"Shut it kid and fight!" The knight that attacked me shouted back.
"Why don't you shut up! You are meant to be high ranking so can't you just wipe them out or something, this is boring!"
"I only know close combat spells and sword techniques!"
"You're useless then!"
I had to agree with Jayden on that one. These were meant to be S - rank and above knights that were to protect royalty and fight against dragons so what are they going to do if the dragons take flight? Watch them and wait patiently for their death or something?
While I was thinking about what they would do I realised an ape was coming at me from my left side so I just punched it and sent it flying at a tree, spitting up blood on impact before getting shot by an air bullet and sliding down the tree trunk lifelessly.
Another ape ran up towards my front so I kicked it back and shot an air bullet at it before rotating my body and swinging my sword at the two apes coming up behind me.
I wasn't keeping record of how many apes I had killed at this point and it would be up to system to figure that one out.
"KYAAAAA!" I heard a scream which sounded like the princess so she must have woken up. Probably fell unconscious again from shock.
After I killed all the apes around me I went back to the group to kill the rest of them.
When I came back to them I just saw a massive mound of bodys of the apes they killed and there was still more of them alive.
"Ah Kiera!" Tess said as she fired off an arrow at an ape. "You ran off at the start, where did you go?"
"I went behind the apes and killed them all." I replied.
"I see.. explains all the blood covering you then." Tess chuckled.
I shot off an air bullet at an ape that was trying to attack Tess from behind.
"Pay attention to your surroundings." I said.
"Oops sorry.." Tess said before going back to fight some more. She fired off multiple arrows formed with her magic, water and fire, that killed the apes almost instantly. She didn't just use her bow though she drew her sword at certain times and fought in close combat.
"There is still a lot left." Tess grumbled.
"About 47" I replied to Tess since I knew the exact amount which was decreasing as they were being killed by the others.
"Oh that's fine then." Tess said with a smile and went back to killing.
I manifested 20 swords of lightning in the air and sent them tumbling down on the oblivious apes who instantly perished bringing numbers down to only 5 since the group had killed the others.
"That was boring. Like seriously. A bunch of weak monster constantly charging in is just annoying." Jayden said as he sheathed his sword. "I bet there was around 400 of those damn things."
