A new dungeon discovery (9)

I didn't let the corpses reply and begun my attacks. I swung Adonis vertically down and shot out a crescent shaped attack made with black flames. The crescent of flames burnt through each and every cursed corpse it came in contact with and left them as nothing but a pile of ash.

Three cursed corpses, each with a sword, charged at me while one of the mage classes at the back of the group began firing off different spells.

'It's casting water magic. If I'm correct then that fluctuation of the mana will result in the spell whirlpool. I think the corpse is trying to make it into a beam of sorts and focus it on a certain part of my body.'

Seeing this I decided to make some armour made of my elements. Since I had new fire attacks why not make an armour made of it as well?

I controlled my mana and spread it over my body, leaving my head uncovered, and began forcefully strengthening the flames to the point damage would have normally been irreversible if I didn't have [Fire resistance] that made me immune to all fire.

After reaching a limit to how far I could increase the strength I began condensing the flames around my body into armour. The flames condensed to what would look like a shining metal but as black as the night sky but this night sky held no moon nor stars. In addition to this, certain areas of my armour gained purple colours.

(I'll add an image since I'm bad at describing clothing and stuff in general)

The corpses looked at me fearfully with their whole body trembling, "*crk* wh-what is that?!"

"We should *crk* dispose of the human quickly!"

'Not much to say about them then.' I thought as I clenched and unclenched my free hand.

'Alright. This should increase my power.. hopefully.'

I leaped forwards and swung my blade horizontally, letting the flames crackle as they zoomed through the air in their crescent shape. The ground beneath the crescent strike became scorched and burnt while the actual attack sliced through the corpses changing them from a whole to multiple small chunks of burning flesh.

The three cursed corpses that had charged at me were no more than ashes drifting in the wind as they had no defensive measures set against my attacks.

A beam, made from the water magic spell called whirlpool, rapidly approached me and left cracks underneath where it went from the concentrated pressure it emitted.

I held my sword out, the tip of the blade facing the beam, and lifted it up before crashing it down.

"Flame of destruction-" naturally came out of my mouth flowing into the next, "Wall." as the words came out so did the newly created wall of flames from where the tip of my blade went. The wall reached where I held my blade the highest all the way to the floor where my blade currently is facing and expanded to block the oncoming attack of concentrated water.

Flames used for the sole purpose of destroying its target, can be used either on the offensive or defensive. These flames are able to inflict immense fear to all those that hold hostility towards the host.

The focused water beam, when coming in contact with my wall made from [Flames of destruction], turned to steam and thus became utterly useless to the one that created it.

I looked over at the one who sent that attack towards me and pointed my blade at it.

"[Flames of destruction: Beam]"

The flames began to spin in a small focused point in front of the tip of my blade and shot off like a laser beam, going straight though the cursed corpses head making it drop to the floor and burn, inside and out.

I used [Flash steps] instantly after using that skill and went into the centre of the smaller hoard of cursed corpses. They all regained their focus on me after seeing me appear among them and began sending attacks my way.

Each sword swing that came my way was countered by my own, pushing theirs back and each blast of magic sent my way was dissipated from me using [Override] to deleted the command or from being destroyed by [Flames of destruction].

My sword slammed down onto the corpses that got close and sliced them in half, leaving both pieces to drop to the ground and their crystallised heart to crumble to dust. Though I wasn't just using my sword and magic to fight, I also used my body, kicks and punches were incorporated into my fighting style making me hard to read and hard for them to come up with a counter in time before my attacks got to them.

I created a ball of poison in one hand and fired it off at a corpse but it was more acid like as it burnt through it, leaving a melted looking blob of flesh that I quickly burnt to nothingness.

"This *crk* human is too strong!"

"*crk* we don't stand a-"

My sword was swiftly cutting through each and every corpse while multiple different uses of [Flames of destruction] were being used to kill the ones that were too far away from my blade to be hit.

The battle between us didn't last long before my overwhelming victory came.

"*crk* even if you beat us, you won't beat the *crk* dungeon boss." The last one said to me as I kicked it down to the floor, sliced off its arms and legs before putting my foot on its chest.

I stabbed my sword next to its head and lent down a bit, "Give me some information on the boss and I won't attack you, I'll ignore whatever you do."

"*crk* like I'll believe you, you'll ju-"

"I'll swear on it to the heavens."

"Go on then.. do *crk* it."

"I, Kiera, swear to the heavens that I will not attack this cursed corpse and ignore its each and every action once this cursed corpse tells me all it knows of this dungeons boss. If I go against this promise may the heavens strike me down." After finishing my promise the sky rumbled as if recognising my promise.

"*crk* you'll regret that." It said.

"Speak. Promise you won't lie while you're at it."

"I swear to the heavens that I will not lie *crk* to Kiera and tell her all I know about this dungeon. If I go against this promise may the heavens strike me *crk* down." The sky rumbled.

"This dungeons boss is a corrupted ogre with the fire affinity and some others I *crk* don't know of. It should be around the same strength if a *crk* A - rank adventurer. It should be north of here, I don't know the distance." It finished.

"Okay, bye then." I said before walking off, leaving the corpse.

I dispelled my armour and transformed Adonis back to normal. I looked back and caught a glimpse of the cursed corpse regenerating it's missing limbs.

'Well I've got to ignore it now but who said the rest of the group can't kill it off?' I thought as I moved towards Tess's group.

'I'll ask Tess to kill it.'
