Chapter 58

Claude who was quietly looking up the bright moon

Wind gently passing through

I walked towards Claude who was standing still

"Claude?"

I called out to him

Claude flinched and smiled back at me

"Is it our turn now?"

Claude asked

"No I was just looking for to look at your outfit, it suits you quite well"

I happily answered

"You look dashingly handsome as always!"

I nudge his side smiling happily

Claude chuckled and smiled back, he then paused and looked back up the moon

I followed and looked up too

"Athy..."

Claude whispered my name

"Yes?"

I answered

"You won't let me go, right?"

Claude asked

Let go?

Why would he ask that?

I thought to myself

"I would never!"

I answered back

"Are you sure?'

Claude asked as he looked back at me with a sad expression

C-claude?

I was speechless

Why is he sad? Why does he look so hurt?

"Yes I would never let you go! You're like a little brother to me!"

I answered trying not to worry or make him feel bad, but I think I made it worse

As I stared back at Claude

Claude looked even sadder just then, he looked disappointed

Why?

"Claude?"

I asked as I grabbed his hand, I looked at him worried

Claude looked at my hand holding his and looked back up at me

"You thought of me as you brother huh?"

He mumbled

"then let me ask, why are you hiding something from me?"

Claude asked, his voice sounded hurt he looked at me with teary eyes asking me

"Hiding something, what are you talking about?"

I asked not a clue to his question

"Please... Tell me Athy"

Claude asked me pitifully

Hiding something from him, the only thing i'm hiding from him is that i'm not the real Athy....

D-does he mean that?!

But if it's that, how'd he know?!

I stood there silently staring quietly at Claude shocked

Claude looked surprised and looked down he bit his lip and clenched his hand

"Do you not trust me...?"

Claude mumbled

"No no it's not that, I trust you completely!"

I answered immediately

"Then why aren't you telling me anything?!"

Claude angrily shouted as he grabbed both of my hands and with a grip so tightly

"I..."

I couldn't say a word, I don't know why but words won't come out of my mouth

Claude who was sad and disappointed looked heartbroken and let go of my hand

He looked down feeling defeated

Claude... I'm sorry I don't know why I couldn't bring myself to tell you

My mouth won't open...

I thought to myself

I thought hard but I couldn't come up with a decision wether to tell him the truth or not

"Claude..."

I whispered, I reached my hand out and touch his cheek

And decided to finally tell him the truth

"I-"

"Athy! Claude! We're next!"

Josefina shouted calling for us

We both looked at her, I nodded

Josefina then went back inside, I looked back at Claude who was still standing quietly

"Mumble mumble mumble"

Claude kept mumbling

He's still not over with his habit of mumbling

I thought to myself

"Claude I-"

I called to him again and finally decided to explain it to him

"We need to go, we're next..."

Claude said

He interrupted...

I thought to myself

I paused and looked at him worried

But to answer my worried expression he answered with a smile

And walked away

I quietly stood there for a second and looked back at him who was walking away

I then followed him...

Behind the curtain I sat down and read through the script with magic that can make my voice louder like a microphone

And started...

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful maiden named, Emilia

Cosmo then showed himself bringing himself elegantly

With the crowed saying "wow" by his tremendous beauty

"Who is that?"

A noble lady asked

"She looks like a goddess"

A noble man whispered

A lot of them were mesmerized by Cosmo's beauty, but all of this did not faze him as he continued his role well

Lady Emilia was saddened as she was all alone in the lonely tower

Lady Emilia looked through the window and sighed, she looked back at he mother who was looking at herself in the mirror admiring herself

Josefina then walked in with a mirror on hand....

Josefina as practiced came in elegantly with a mirror on hand smiling at the mirror

"O-oh dear, she looks scary why is she smiling like that?"

One whispered

"She really does look like the evil stepmother"

The other snickered

I noticed Josefina getting discouraged, her brows furrowed with a bad mood

Josefina may look like she's angry but the truth is she's hurt

She doesn't know how to show it that's why she has that kind of expression

I was angry by the comments the audience's said, but I can't do anything as I was just a narrator

But I thought of something...

The Stepmother who was happily looking at her face loved her fierce look as she realized she was one of a kind

A beautiful, elegant,and a  fierce lady

I narrated to make her feel better, that was off script but I didn't change anything that big

I thought to myself

Josefina looked confused at first and looked at me in confusion

I smiled back at her sweetly and she smiled back continuing her role

"Mother, when can I go out?"

Emilia asked sadly looking at he mother

The mother looked at her fiercely and said

"My daughter, your beauty is just too much they might take advantage of you I can't let you out"

The mother went near Emilia and touched he cheek gently smiling

Emilia was disappointed and looked back at the window

The mother went out for a but to get something for them to eat, and Emilia was again left alone

After many lines Cosmo and Josefina went out of sight and The Male protagonist, Claude then came to scene with the Knight, Cythe who was chasing him

"Where do you think you're going?!"

The knight exclaimed

"Away from you of coures!"

The Thief answered back

ith a lot of chasing and fighting The thief and The Lady met, The thief asked the lady to help him and the lady blindly agreed

The thief thought of ways to trick the young lady but couldn't since the days they spent were long enough for both to develope their feelings

But both sis not know how to express it as they were to shy and it was a first for them

We're at the final scene it's almost done!

I thought to myself happily

This scene is where they profess their love for each other the Knight who was chasing the lady was also secretly in love with her

The knight held her hand and took her to the pond and said

"M'lady I have long since bear this love for you and here I am professing my love to you, in hopes that you would take this feelings and accept this confession through marriage"

Cythe held Como's hand gently and kissed the back of his hand

That was such a romantic line, I really liked that line

I happily said to myself

But as I was daydreaming I noticed Cythe who was kissing Cosmo at the back of his hand

Was staring at me... Directly at me!?

I was stunned and my heart raced a lot, Cythe seductively smiled at me as he kisses Cosmo's hand

"C-cythe?"

I mumbled

Claude who stood behind them then came rushing

Claude grabbed Cythe's shoulder tightly and said

"Let go of her..."

Claude glared

"!"

This wasn't part of the script?

"Did he forget his lines?"

I thought to myself

Cythe then looked back at Claude staring back at him intensely

"And if I don't?"

Cythe answered back

"Then I don't think you'd be alive?"

Claude said in anger

"..."

Cythe was silent for a while then answered Claude back

"You don't deserve her, I have fallen for the lady in sight whilst you tried to trick her..."

Cythe spoke his lines well, going back to the original lines

"Whoo, I guess it was just an adlib, that adlib looked serious though, they're really a good actor"

I happily sighed, but nervous at the same time

The Lady looked stunned and looked at the thief surprised

"You tried to trick me Andrew?"

Cosmo acted excellently with a truly surprised look

Cosmo stared at Claude with saddened eyes

Claude looked surprised as well delivering his act well

"Emilia I would never trick you!"

Claude said

"Lies! You tried tricking her into taking your place and leave her!"

Cythe said angrily

Claude then came closer to Emilia and grabbed her shoulder tightly and shook her lightly

"I would never Emilia, I love you and only you I would never do anything to hurt you... I truly do love you I'm sorry..."

Claude at first screamed but then trembled and cried softly

"I didn't mean to kill you... I din't mean to... They told me too..... They told me"

Claude mumbled crying

But Cosmo just stood there not doing anything and just stared at Claude

This... All of the things Claude said wasn't part of the script

All of those...

I thought to myself

"At the last part, I couldn't hear them properly, what did he say?"

I said wondering

I then looked back at the stage and saw Claude looking straight at me, crying sadly

"Claude..."

I mumbled

There was silence, the audience were enjoying the act and was too into the act that some started to tear

Josefina and Cythe were shocked to hear Claude say those things

And he's saying those lines as if it was directed at me...

Why is he saying those while looking at me?

I thought to myself

My heart was beating faster and faster that I just froze

"It's okay, Andrew... I choose you"

Cosmo continued the show

Cosmo touched Claude's cheek and smiled sweetly

Claude looked surprised and stared back at Cosmo

As soon as Cosmo said those lines, the curtain closed and it was the sign that the show was done

There were no bows and no introducing of the casts as it was ended abruptly

All 5 of us stood behind the curtain nervous, then heard

1 clap

2 claps

Until it was all of the audience that clapped, apparently they enjoyed the show

I was relieve to hear them clap, but my heart still won't stop beating

Claude who stood still looking back at me with a tired and gloomy expression

He then turned around and walked away without saying anything

"..."

"..."

"..."

We were all silent after that

I wanted to run after him but I figured he needed some space

After the show we were congratulated by the audience and changed our outfits

Cosmo became even more popular and so does Cythe

Claude did not return after that...

The noble ladies were looking for him, thought of him as cool and wanted to have a talk with him

They were saddened that they couldn't find him and went to talk to either Cosmo or Cythe

Josefina who was feared by them was getting a little attention after her great performance although she'a happy she still can't control her expressions properly

Josefina noticed me and gave me a worried look

I gave her a thumbs up and she smiled happily

I smiled back

"Is this what it feels like to see you child having lots of friends?"

I happily whispered

They were surrounded by people, and they surrounded me too that it exhaust me

They were kind but talking to a lot of people at the same time is tiring, I wasn't this talkative even in my past life

I took a drink and drank a little I was feeling a little stuffy that I wanted to get some fresh air

I looked at the threw of them Cosmo who doesn't seem tired and is full of energy

Cythe who is now annoyed chose to ignore them

And Josefina who seemed to be troubled by them but was to soft to ignore

While I stood in the middle with a crowd of people trying to talk with me... But i'm too exhausted

It's sometimes so tiring to socialize...

I thought to myself

"Excuse me, I need to go get something that I forgot"

I smiled and said excusing myself

"Sure, go on Miss Les Acrez"

They nodded and happily excused me

I went out and walked to the beautiful big tree and sat on the big rock beside it

I removed both of my heels since it hurts so much

This is considered rude being barefoot but since no one is here to see I took them off

"I think it's swollen a little..."

I mumbled as I rubbed my toes and sighed heavily

When I thought I was finally alone I heard the sound of the grass's rustling noise I looked up and saw Cythe who looked drained and worried

"Are you alright?"

He asked worried about me with his sweet tone of voice
