Chapter 50

After the Class ended all of us quietly went to our club room while Claude as tightly holding onto my hand

Noises of people could be heard from the background as the five of us continued our way to the club room

As we were walking quietly Josefina looked back at us without smiling looking at our hands with a dissatisfied look on her face

She met my gaze as I looked at her in confusion and smiled back with her face slightly flushed red

I was confused and looked back at Claude quietly holding my hand

And without noticing we have arrived to our club room

And still quietly took our own sits as Claude took the sit beside me and Cythe took the other while Josefina looked both at Cythe and Claude and sat infront of me while Cosmo sat infront of us looking at Claude with deadly stare

"..."

I couldn't say a word as I was to nervous and sweating of how awkward it is

But luckily Ina took initiative and talked for the 4 of us

"Let's start?"

Ina stood up and asked with a smiling face handing the scripts

I then nodded immediately and took one for me to practice

Cosmo, Cythe, and Claude were still silent but as soon as I took mine they took one as well and read through it

"As we have not finalize who is going to act who, let's talk about that first"

Josefina added as she skimmed through the pages of the script and looks up at us with a sweet smile

"I'll be writing the role of each members on the board as to not forget!"

I said happily raising my hand

I stood up and went near the board

As the board was at the back Cythe and Claude turned around to face me and the board

I stood there until someone volunteered who they wanted to be

"We have here the Woman in the tower wich is our lead actor, the thief who comes to her rescue, the horse wich I changed into a knight and chases the thief around who has become the thief's friend,the evil stepmother and the narrator"

Josefina read all the roles as she walks near me to help infront

We both then looked at the three of them to see Cosmo smirking as he kept on reading through the script

Claude who was smiling gently looking at me his script on the desk...

And Cythe who was also reading through the script calmly and seriously

As we waited for their responses I thought to raise my hand and fill the leading role

Of course since i'm great at acting!

I thought to myself confidently

"I'll-"

I raised my hand and looked at Ina just to be interrupted by Cosmo who was having fun

As he raised his hand with a smirk on his face he looked at me and shouted

"I'll be the lonely princess!"

Cosmo said

All of us went quiet and stared at him

I looked at him with a shocked and angry expression

Cosmo who was having fun with his hand raised high up looking at me with a satisfied look

I furrowed my brows went near stomping my feet and stood infront of him

He stood up and looked down on me with a smirk his hands inside of his pockets bending a little to meet my eyes

What's wrong with you?!

I shouted telepathically with an angry tone and expression clenching my fists

Do you really want to compete with me?!

I asked angrily again

Cosmo with a smirk kept on staring at me and said

I clearly am more of a better actor and a pretty man

He annoyingly said back at me telepathically

*Gasp* Excuse me?

I gasp taken aback by what he said

Taking the spotlight from me furrowed my brows even more for him to not flinch

As we stared intently at each other I who was looking at him with an angry expression and Cosmo with a smirk

"..."

The room was filled in silence as we were fighting telepathically making the room awkward

"Let's act and see who is better"

Cythe spoke and suggested

"Instead of fighting there, just prove it"

Cythe added

We both then look at Cythe who was sitting on his chair calmly looking at us his legs crossed and his arm on the table

why haven't I thought of that?!

I thought to myself

I then turned to look at Cosmo with a smug look on his face

"I'll show you how great of an actor I am!"

I shouted confidently with a smile on my face

"Sure, why not?"

Cosmo answered with mocking tone and face

"Alright then, let's do that!"

Ina said and sat down

"We will be doing it from the lead actors to secondary lead actors to the narrator"

Ina added

I nodded my head happily and went infront first

All 4 of them sat infront facing me

Claude as usual with a smile on his face, Josefina who was excited happily looking at me, Cythe who was also surprisingly excited to see me act....

Seeing Cythe eager for me to act makes me nervous and shy now!!

I thought to myself

I touched my face and it felt like a hot tomato making my face flush red

Happily and shyly giggling to myself

But then I noticed someone staring...

I turned my eyes to look at Claude whose face was as grim his smile faded looking at me

His head rests on his palm without looking at anything, just me

I froze...

I slowly turned my head facing Claude and he quickly changed his expression

Acted like nothing had happened

I wanted to believe that I was just seeing things or am I just paranoid because of having those kinds of nightmares that included him and the reason for all of my deaths

He smiled sweetly with his head still resting on his palm and I breathed heavily and smiled back trying forget what had happened

"Are you okay Athy?"

Cythe asked with a worried look on his face as he stood up ready to come close to me

I then frantically shook my head and said

"Don't worry i'm just nervous!"

I said to not worry him

Cythe was clearly not buying it and stood there still waiting for me to tell more

"Are you sure you're ok Athy?"

Ina asked too

I turned to look at Ina who was worried and shook my head softly and smiled back and said

"I'm really fine"

Ina then took a sigh of relief and smiled back, I then turned to look back at Cythe who was still worried and smiled back

He was hesitating but listened in the end

I then proceeded to look at Cosmo with still a mockingly smug face looking at me as if I would fail

"Why are you nervous now Athy, are you scared?"

Cosmo said mocking me

I looked at him and smirked

I'll do great just you wait and see

I said telepathically

He looked at me and snorted covering his mouth and mocked me again

I furrowed my brows and stood infront trying to calm my nerves avoiding thinking of unnecessary thoughts

Especially if it's about Claude...

I kept on scaring myself knowing that he... wouldn't do such thing, right?

As time went on I kept on thinking of how Claude would kill me in my dreams and because of those dreams I became paranoid and scared around him

And to add up Cosmo saying that Claude is dangerous when he didn't even know him that well yet

But do I know Claude any better?

I knew him since he was 6 and treated him like my little brother and now that his 14 I seem to have keep on noticing that something is changing Claude....

I shook my head and looked up to see them waiting for me to start and then...

After all of us have acted infront we have now decided our roles

Princess Emilia/Lead Actor: Cosmo

Andrew/Thief/2nd Lead Actor: Claude

Lothario/Knight/Supporting Character: Cythe

Emmeline/Stepmother/Antagonist: Josefina

Narrator: Athanasia

Cosmo was as happy as a child who won a game happily jumping around laughing

Claude who was standing awkwardly looking at Cosmo happily running around

Cythe who was annoyed by Cosmo running around

Josefina who sat beside me trying to comfort me

And as for me after my act I quickly hid and buried my face on the table with smoke coming out of my face as red as a tomato

Why! why! why!

I shouted inside of my head

Why didn't that stupid Cosmo tell I'm bad at Acting!

I yelled to myself

Hearing Cosmo celebrating by jumping and running around made me even angrier and embarrassed

I wanna cryyyyy

I thought to myself

"E-everything is alright Athy, your ac-... YOUR VOICE WAS QUITE GREAT!"

Josefina kept on making me feel better even it was bad

Without realizing I clenched my hands as hard as I could

Someone then grabbed my hand as quickly as possible

I was surprised and so I jumped and looked to see who pulled my hand

"Why did I just notice now that you have an injury right here!?"

Cythe immediately said with a worried look on his face

Injury?

I asked myself I then looked at my hand where Cythe grabbed me to see my palm was bleeding even harder this time

"..."

I stared at my hands quietly

It must have reopened...

This was my injury when I visited Claude's house

I clenched my hands so hard that my nails went too deep

As I was quietly staring at my injury Cythe turned to look at Ina who was as shocked and said

"Ina go and get the first aid kit"

Ina then nodded and quickly went out

"I'll come with you too"

Cosmo said

Ina turned to look at him and nodded her head

They then both went out and get the aid kit where Me, Claude, and Cythe were left alone in the room

"..."

"..."

"..."

It was silence once again

"Why didn't I notice?"

Cythe then kneeled down and mumbled to himself with a worried expression

I looked at Cythe saddened by his tone looking at him quietly as he kept on caressing my injured hand

"I'm fine Cythe this is nothing just a small injury"

I said trying to not worry him

"An injury is still an injury Athy, How could I not notice this?"

Cythe said and asked himself again and again completely confused as to why he hadn't notice

Claude who was quietly looking at us from afar then walked towards us

"Yeah Cythe, how could you not notice?"

Claude said as he walked towards us looking at Cythe with angered and annoyed look

Both me and Cythe look up at Claude

Cythe's eyes who was as annoyed as him

"You claimed you cared so deeply for Athy and yet this small injury with a bandage on her hand you have not seen"

Claude added

"Claude?"

I whispered

I looked down to see Claude's hands were clenched

"Yeah I don't know why..."

Cythe answered looking back at my injury

"Heh!"

Claude laughed mockingly with his face full of hatred

"Even without seeing what was the cause, even if I haven't seen Athy for how many days I'd still notice if she was hurt"

Claude said angrily looking at Cythe

Cythe who was kneeling stood up and faced Claude

"What is this about Claude?"

Cythe asked with annoyed look and tone

"I'm just saying I care for Athy MORE than you do"

Claude said angrily looking at Cythe

"Just because I hadn't notice Athy's injured hand means I don't care for her?"

Cythe answered back angry

"You not noticing her injured hand is proof enough you don't care as much"

Claude smirked while still angry talking and staring back at Cythe

Cythe who is still with a calm face but can be seen he was as angry as how Claude is right now

"I was aware Athy had visited you"

Cythe answered back with calm and soft tone

Claude then flinched and kept on staring at Cythe as he clenched his fists

"If you hadn't ran away, If you had shown yourself, if Athy hadn't visited you and got scared...."

Cythe added and even clenched his head

He looked back at Claude with anger

The calm Cythe was not calm anymore and just snapped...

"Do you think she would be injured now?"

Cythe said and Claude went quiet

"I guess you don't care for Athy as much too, huh Claud?"

Cythe said as he mockingly said back at Claude

"..."

"..."

"..."

All Three of us went quiet

But I just stood there in complete silence thinking that

Because of me they're fighting... If I had just stopped my habit of clenching my hands injuring myself...

All of this is happening because of me again..

I thought to myself

"Claude, Cythe I am fine this is nothing to fight about, just a small injury with care for more days I'll be fine"

I stood up and calmed the both of them down

They looked at me and stared at me quietly with a worried look on both of their faces

And me with guilt and saddened expression as I touched both of their shoulders calming them...

*Knock Knock*
