3 Nine Attachment Abilities

Seth was staring at a skinny old man, his face was filled with wrinkles, evidence from long years of living.

"Young lady you're almost an adult, yet you still carry an ugly pillow around you like a 5-year-old kid. A person your age should be practicing combat techniques."

"When I was your age, I had already mastered a grey combat technique. Humanity shouldn't deteriorate. Gigantic Beast doesn't get weaker, they only grow stronger. You shouldn't be deceived by the peace as a hidden storm is brewing..."

The old man kept reprimanding Tina as he stared at them with a plastic bag in his hands.

They were currently at the bakery near the White Cloud Inn, and the old man who kept chattering is the owner of the store.

"Umm. Uncle George. Can I have the bread now? Mother will get angry if I'm delayed. The bread reserved in the Inn would be running out soon," convinced Tina.

"Bread? What Bread?" Uncle George tilted his head, apparently confused.

'The bread in your hands, George. For God's sake, it's literally in your hands' Seth said in his mind.

"The one that I bought. It's in your hands Uncle George," Tina said innocently as she scratched her head.

"Oh? Oh! That's right. I almost forgot."

'It's not almost. You did forget. George, you owned a bakery, not a school' If Seth could talk, he would have dissed the old man.

It was already his 10th time in the bakery. Initially, he was happy about the talkative Old Man, as he could obtain more information from him. But, their conversation would repeat every time Tina buys bread for the Inn.

Seth doubts if the Old Man could even remember this exchange tomorrow.

"Thank you, Uncle George!" Tina quickly received and paid for the bread.

As they jogged towards the Inn, Seth could see cocoon-like buildings. Almost all buildings were like that, it was to consider the earth tremors produce by the Gigantic Beasts. As it would cause immense damages to the buildings, The Federation decided to reinforce each building with spider-silk from a spider-type puppet.

The federation is the government in this world. They control and maintained the stronghold all over the continent.

Seth looked at the corner of his line of sight, the roads were buzzing with vehicles. The vehicles were not that different from his previous world. Seth had even seen a Ferrari passing by with loud engine noises.

It was also the same with digital technology. Seth had seen Tina using a laptop once. Though there aren't any LED screens and Digital Billboards, Seth guessed the troublesome earth tremors are the reason.

Not long later, they arrived at the White Cloud Inn. It was a wide 3-story building covered in purely white silk.

Contrary to its cocoon-like facade, the interior was modern with flat-screen TVs hanging in every corner. Just like its name, White Cloud Inn, the walls and ceiling were painted white. The counter was plain though, there are only four menus pasted at the back.

Sitting at the round tables, were rowdy people, each holding a beer in their hands.

Seth also saw the man who kept telling dad jokes. Similar to his jokes, he appeared like a typical dad with their typical untidy beard and beer belly.

"What is a criminal's best asset?"

"What?"

"His lie-ability"

"hahaha"

Tina made a facepalm. Seth looked at her with envy. 'How I wish I could freely do that.'

After Tina handed the bread while receiving a few scolding, Seth was later then placed back in his neat bedroom.

Seth once again stared at the familiar white ceiling. It has already been a month since he arrived in this world.

A lot happened since then, he had acquired a total of 9 attachment abilities during the month. Additionally, his knowledge is now comparable to an ordinary person.

That being said, it was only because Tina, the bright and beautiful girl, have gained a liking towards him.

On a certain day when she was cleaning the bedroom, she once tried laying down the bed for a quick break. When she felt Seth's fluffy body—which has gradually improve from the abilities he acquired—she immediately fell in love with the pillow.

Since then, she would be carrying Seth around when she goes out for an errand.

If it weren't for the fact that her mother was strict and wouldn't allow her to keep the 'profitable' fluffy Seth, she would have brought him as her personal pillow/teddy bear.

Fortunately, that didn't happen.

Although he appreciated the girl for unintentionally sharing her knowledge with him, he still found joy from acquiring countless abilities.

Throughout the month, 9 people have slept on him, including the curvaceous woman and the baldy. Since the White Cloud Inn was in the center of the City, occupants would quickly come and go, with a maximum stay of 4 days.

The Attachment Abilities he acquired were,

Seth nodded at the sight of colorful words in his void mind. Nobody would expect that a mere pillow would have 9 attachment abilities.

The most talented person only has Triple Attachment Abilities.

The occupant quickly arrived at the bedroom. It was a man with a baggy look and blond hair. His face was flush as if he drunk a lot.

Seth ignored the man baggy man, as he entered his void mind. It was already the baggy man's 3rd stay this night, Seth acquired a [Cleanser(Grey)] from him.

The ability could allow the puppet to develop a skin that would automatically clean itself—which is a relatively useless ability.

Early in the morning, inside his void mind, Seth could see the baggy man packing out.

Seth looked forward to sleeping with someone. Since it would be his 10th ability, Seth could somehow feel that he would receive another pillow inheritance.

But before he could celebrate, he suddenly heard the door slammed open. He saw Tina running towards him with an excited expression. She reached out his hand and wildly grabbed Seth.

She then slammed the door closed as she shouted to the stunned pillow. "Mr. Pillow, I'm finally going to become a Puppeteer!"

Tina was finally going to awaken her long waited ability.
