Chapter 3. Still Not Safe

"Forgive us," said Gobro and Gobti simultaneously.

We ran so fast. as fast as we could, but in the end we were still caught. They cheated by riding horses to chase us and using arrows.

Unfortunately, I'm not a stupid goblin who would just stand still when faced with a problem like this. I'm going to run away. Before running away, I could at least kill one of them. That's what I want to do.

"You monsters are very troublesome, but it doesn't matter because of you." We can complete the mission and get paid for this easy task. "Should I just let you guys go?" that person said.

I hated that person because his face looked haughty and condescending. That person's face looked stupid. That person had a big body with a thick beard and mustache. I guessed that he was in his forties. It could be seen from his white beard and bald head.

The man raised his sword and pointed it at me. The sword was big and sharp. if the sword hit my head. I was sure that I would be killed right there. It was scary, but I mustn't look scared. I looked at him with a sharp gaze.

By the look on his face, he looked annoyed. "You're brave, huh! "I'll show you fear," the old man said.

He stuck his sword into the ground. After that, he raised his hand and finally

Buukk!

Buuukk!

Plak!

I was repeatedly hit, kicked, and slapped. Gobro and Gobti looked very angry, but their hands and feet were tied. We couldn't put up any resistance at all. That's what the man thought. Unbeknownst to him, I was holding a small knife.

I slowly sliced through the rope that bound my hands. I had to keep the old man focused on me and nowhere else. He bent down. His face was close to mine. The old man held my face with his hands. He gripped my face until I felt pain.

"I really hate green monsters like you. "You're so disgusting and ugly," the old man mocked.

The old man fell silent. I knew we were disgusting, but hearing those words from someone else was different. It made me so angry that I spat in his face. that provoked his anger. He kicked me very hard in the face. He immediately picked up his sword again. He made one slash right away. That shocked me.

How lucky I was that, right at that moment, I managed to cut the rope that tied my hands! I immediately avoided the slash, relying on my hands. I pushed my body backwards. That made the old man's slash cut the rope binding my legs. I quickly got up.

"You think by letting yourself go. You can win. I won't," the old man said with a smug face.

He immediately went forward and attacked. I wasn't that easy to defeat. I immediately activated two skills at once, Swordman and Angry. It instantly made me able to withstand the attack with one small knife.

Our fight created a commotion that attracted several people to come closer. I only had five minutes before the ability of my Angry skill ran out. I quickly dodged and made several additional moves to cut the ropes binding Gobro and Gobti.

"You're sneaky too. I didn't think goblins had brains. You're slippery," the old man taunted. I wasn't too sure if it was a taunt or a compliment.

"What do you think is inside my head? A pile of muscles? Of course not, because I'm not you."

He thinks we goblins have no brains. What an ignorant and arrogant human. He made a slash toward my leg. I easily dodged it by jumping up. Goblins' bodies are small and light. It made it possible for me to stand on the old man's sword for a few seconds. with one small jump. The man's sword was pushed down. I also kicked. The kick hit the man right in the face. He was pushed back.

"This is it," I thought.

I advanced again. I managed to give the haughty old man a stab in the neck. The stab made the old man lose quite a lot of blood. It didn't stop there. I also made a puncture in the man's left eye. The old man immediately groaned in pain. He held his face, which was full of blood. I took advantage of that by freeing my other two colleagues.

"Hurry! We don't have much time," I urged.

I managed to untie their ropes. just wanted to escape, but we were surrounded by the few people who were there. There was no way to escape anymore. I had to chuckle at our predicament.

"What are we going to do?" asked Gobro.

He's relying on me because I'm the one with the brains in there. They do too, but their brains are smaller. It's hard for them to think of a way to escape from a crowd like this. I kept thinking, but strangely, I couldn't find a way either. I was beginning to doubt that I had a bigger brain than them.

"Don't tell me I have a small brain too," I muttered.

The old man was already awake. His face was wrapped in a cloth. He stood up and looked at me and the others with a sharp gaze. It was terrible because I already couldn't use my Angry skill. It could only be used once an hour. It really wasn't a very useful skill.

"I'll kill you," said the man.

He took his sword back. He walked toward me. He swung the sword. It was a very fast swing. I tried to dodge, but I could not. My movements were still not as fast as before.

"It looks like I'm going to die," I thought.

Ting!

The man's slash was instantly bounced off. He was startled as his attack was blocked by something. I forgot that I had one more skill, Revenge level 1, that could reflect any kind of attack, but it could only be used once a day.

"How did you do that?" the old man asked.
