Van felt dizzy, first with the multitude of information popping out from the system and second from the fact that he was even able to survive this situation.

There were some important things to look at first though. There were some nice addition to the system and he had to check them out. He remembered that Dalia the Ferokans was still stuck so he had Andre bring him back to the camp.

To activate uses 50 mana per second automatically deactivates once there is no more mana. (inactive) Unlocking this Title awarded you 3000 Luxury Points

He took down a dragon: "Defeated a dragon with one spell." Damage and effect multiplier 1.15x against dragons. First spell against dragons will always be a critical. (Always active) Unlocking this Title awarded you 1000 Luxury Points

All of them were great, Van took special interest for Domineering Sage though, it really seemed like it could be useful. Too bad he could only use it for a total of 4 seconds.

"System Store"

This brings him to the System store. Looking at it, there were basic items like potions which healed things from 1000 hp to a full restore.

Seeing that the full restore was only 100 luxury points he had a good idea how much he had.

There were several sections but most of them were locked as of right now.

There was one tab that had recommended attached to it so Van pressed it.

Bloodlines determine the quality of your physical capacity and capabilities. They will also provide you different Stat bonuses that scale up as you grow in level. It is recommended to get a bloodline as soon as possible. Discounts provided for bloodlines increasingly compatible with you. You can only purchase one bloodline per body.

There were recommended bloodlines but scrolled past it and saw several noteworthy bloodlines like that were around the range that would be affordable would be...

Heavenly King Bloodline: +1to Str, Agi, Vit every level. Increase 20% efficiency in learning battle related skills. Increase hp regen by 200%. Vit will now provide 25 health per point. Increase Affinity to Fire and Light element by 3% per level. Gain Sacred fire Skill tree.

It was going for 12000 Luxury points.

Abberant Mind: 3 intelligence per level increase efficiency by 35% when learning psychic skills. Mana pool increase by 150% intelligence now provides 15 mana per point. Provides Psychic skill tree. 0% Affinity on all elements.

It was also going for 12000 points

They were incredible but there was one more that caused him to pause.

Tantric Master bloodline: +2 Vit per level. Endurance(Max) gained. Gain bonus stats per cultivation partner. Gain tantric skill tree. Increase efficiency by 50% when learning attraction skills. Going for 8000 points 5% discount

Was it going to be that kind of adventure? His brain tried to provide him all the benefits of such a bloodline but his rationality kicked it off and Van was able to snap out of it. To prevent the temptation he looked on the recommended list of bloodlines.

Genius Bloodline: +1 int per level. Increase efficiency by 10% in learning all skills. Int now provides 8 mana per point. 500 luxury points has 20% discount.

After seeing the first few recommendations Van skipped to the end and saw the available choices.

Chaos Emissary: +2 to two random stats per level +1 vit. Learn two random spells per day which will be gone after the day ends. Affinity to all elements + 23% Vit now provides 10 hp per point. Int now provides 10 mana per point. Wis now provides 15 mana per point. Gain Chaos chants skill tree.

But the one that broke the camel's back was...

Oberver of the Cosmos: +2 Wis +2 Cha +1 Int per level. Increase efficiency by 100% in learning Perception related skills. Increase Affinity to the cosmos 25% Gain Cosmos Observer skill tree. Wis and Int now provides 15 mana per point. Increase mana recovery from 5% every minute to 3% every 15 seconds. 30000 luxury points. 67.67% discount.

It actually came off just about 9700 points. Van felt his heart speed up. Was it not too coincidental? He had a feeling that the system wanted this all along. Was he overthinking? He didn't think there was any bad intent but he felt he was being orchestrated into something he could not grasp.

That didn't mean that he wasn't going to take advantage of it though. Come what may, he will have to face it anyway. It just means he is now forewarned of something... He wasn't really sure what though.

Thus, Van finished his matters and he now had to meet the Knights of Vermont once again. He shuddered to think about how he would start the conversation.

For some reason saying something like 'hey I kinda smacked down the dragon bothering you, who's up for drinks' didn't really seem appropriate.

Victor was one part elated that he had dodged that arrow to the heart but he was also feeling apprehension, here they were waiting for a veritable S-class being. One he just recently seen utterly destroy Fragram who was boosted by a luminous orb and on a rampage. He made it look easy too.

He looked to the four treants kneeling over the distance and forced himself to calm down. He already had an inkling before this. Van came in with nothing at hand supposedly travelling a dangerous forest alone and with such a weak aura. It didn't add up. At first Victor thought he was related to the culprit but now...

He didn't know. They were saved but that didn't mean they themselves were safe so to speak. What was worse was that with how the enemy was, what was the point of running?

Thus, Victor forced himself to calm once again. What he needed to do was not to doubt, but to figure out what Van wanted.

Without waiting much they soon saw the figure of Van atop Andre. He had an awkward smile running on his face and he said, "Can you guys help us unearth Dalia? She's buried under some rubble but she's fine."

Without knowing tension drained from Victor's muscles and he started laughing!

Karin harrumphed as well, still angry at her man handling but Victor's laughter was infectious soon they were all laughing.

Thus Van and the Knights of Vermont were back on friendly terms.

Meanwhile at Dreistad, at a certain meeting room. There was silence.

The record just about finished, fully displaying the domination of Fragram and the succeeding interaction between two sages.

The silence was broken, by Lady Saga as she finally let loose and just started wailing. The roller-coaster of emotions finally came to an end and she could now feel at ease.

Even so, the others all were in contemplative moods. Most of them were thinking, so what does this mean? Some were preparing for the worse. Some trying to see how this would benefit themselves.

"Dat was really..." Ser Thunderfoot started but soon trailed off not knowing what to say.

Lady Branwen's eyes was intensely shut for a moment and soon she opened them and caught the three emperor's eyes.

"Darius, friend of mine. It seems, unaware as we are. A piece of history was written before our eyes, we now need to make sure that Vermont continues and does not become history as well."

"Selena, Now you're talking my language! Point me where and my axe will be der!"

Selena Branwen briefly looked in askance to her friend, as if asking him how what she said warranted such a reply, but she chose to simply write it off as the craziness that afflicted every dwarf.

" Come child, stop crying. We are meeting your father." she tenderly took a handkerchief and wiped off the tears in Lady Saga's eyes.

Perhaps this century will be more exciting than the last, Selena briefly thought as her eyes traced back where the record had been playing. An image was paused there of a young man looking into the distance with his hands behind his back.
