Chp 20 : Like Mother Like Son

She waited a few more seconds to see if Siun woke up, but nothing happened. Elena started sobbing as if she has given up.

"No this can't be!"

Elena exclaimed as she tried to carry Siun in her arm. She was planning to walk to Xinthri's main town where the church is located, it was her last resort.

She carried Siun on her back and quickly tried to walk to the door. But her body gave up, her body just couldn't take it anymore. Elena fell down on the floor, and Siun's body plopped onto the ground once again.

"No... I'll save you..."

As she looked at Siun's head blood started dripping, his head wound seemed to have reopened.

Seeing this Elena just couldn't take it anymore and started crying out loud, tears started soaking the floor as she scrunched up her mouth to try to stop herself from crying... it didn't work.

"M-mother?... Are you okay?"

Elena was elated, Siun was conscious again... though still suffering a head injury, she was just glad that he is awake.

"S-siun! Are you okay?..."

"I-im fine..."

Siun slowly hoisted his limp body up and tried to walk to Elena who was still lying down on the floor. But as Siun was approaching Elena, he felt another headache.

[Siun : What is wrong with this weak body?! I can't wake up without feeling nauseous! Tex, you said it would get better!]

[Tex : It usually does... Your soul is just exceptionally weak and cant handle being in a world that you aren't supposed to be in]

[Siun : How can I fix that?]

[Tex : ... Just suck it up...]

Siun was extremely furious with Tex, he was the one that forced him to transmigrate here but didn't tell him how to get rid of the headache caused by it.

But before Siun could continue arguing with Tex, he suddenly threw up from the headache and dizziness.

"Siun! Are you okay?! Don't get up! I'll help you!"

Elena said trying to once again get up

[Tex : Don't let her! If she does then her condition will worsen and she will die!]

"NO! STOP!"

Siun shouted at Elena.

Elena was surprised, Siun had never yelled at her or Silas before.

"Mother, we need to get you to the saints at the church immediately!"

He said as he tried to lift his mother up who was almost more than double his height.

"Son, it hurts..."

Elena said as Siun was dragging her injured body across the floor trying to get closer to the door.

What Elena said was true, staying in the house not doing anything to die is much better than being dragged around through the rough floor before dying.

So Siun stopped.

"Mom... W-what am I supposed to do then?"

Elena didn't know how to answer that, she tried thinking but she couldn't come up with anything. So she and Siun just started sobbing quietly hugging each other.

Suddenly the door swung open and fell off it's hinge at full speed, it was Silas!

"Oh my god! Elena! Siun! What happened?!"

"wuuu... Dad! We need to get mother to the saints quickly! She is in a lot of pain!"

Silas took a second look at Elena who was on the floor.

He was horrified, the sight of his wife's maimed body which was missing an arm left him speechless. He looked back down at his son who's head was bleeding. Tears started to well in his eyes.

"Dad! quickly! take mom to the church!"

Silas snapped back to reality, there is no time to be surprised! He must quickly get them medical care! It didn't even need to be by the saint's magic, right now just some normal medicine would be fine, just something!

Silas ran to Elena to pick her up.

"W-wife what happened?!"

There was no response, Elena was now unconscious.

Silas put his finger under her nose to see if she was still breathing. And after he checked he quickly took her and Siun into the wagon he got.

"Dad? Is the church really going to take us 6 days? Cant we get there any faster?!"

"Sadly there is no way... But we have to stop by at a town to get you and you're mother some treatment first"

After Silas said that Siun's expression calmed down, Silas seemed to notice this and let out a small chuckle.

"Hahaha... Don't worry, you're mother is a really strong person... but... what happened to you guys?"

"There was a tree demon and mom killed it with her magic... then three more tree demons appeared and... I dont know what happened anymore, because mom told me to run away..."

Silas looked surprised. Three tree demons?! He never knew he married such a strong wife. This made him fall in love with Elena even more, not only was she beautiful but also super strong!... Maybe even stronger than him...

Silas is conflicted on how to feel, he wanted to be the one to protect her, not the other way
