Movie disruption

The two walked leisurely through the streets, to the nearest cinema.

They found one nearby and went in.

Malakai and Hao Sheng stood by the posters showing what movies were available as they considered what to watch.

Hao Shwng turned to Malakai.

"I've been in charge this whole time, so you pick this time. I'll be fine with anything you choose.", Hao Sheng said.

"Really now~? What if I pick something horrible?", Malakai asks playfully, his head tilted slightly.

Hao Shwng smiled sweetly.

"I'm not worried. I trust your judgement", he said lightly.

Malakai was a bit stunned but quickly recovered and scanned the movies available.

"Hm...I pick this one", he says as he points at a poster with a girl in some blue and pink uniform and a shimmering crown on her head.

Hao Sheng raises one eyebrow, a smile pulling at the corners of his mouth.

"I didn't take you as a Darbie fan...", he says lightly, eyes twinkling with mirth.

Malakai smiled slyly.

"I'm not.", he says, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

Hao Sheng chuckled a bit. Malakai looked like he was going to cause some trouble. He looked forward to whatever mischief he had planned.

Hao Sheng just smiled and bought the tickets. They went to the theatre where the movie was showing and sat down in their designated seats.

Just then, a group of toddlers came in and sat down in the row in front of them, with their teacher.

When Malakai saw this, he smiled even wider, his eyes shining.

Soon, everyone else came in, and it was time for the movie to start.

The opening credits came up and then the title 'Darbie in Princess Charm School'.

At first, things seemed normal as the movie started, but then, out of nowhere, Malakai suddenly said, "Ooh she's going to fall here", very loudly.

A few people turned back and hushed him. But weirdly enough, in the next second, the main character falls over, the books tumbling all around her.

Hao Sheng turned to Malakai, amused. Malakai just innocently shrugged and turned back to the movie.

Interesting. Was this what he planned to do? He was excited to see how this played out.

A few more minutes passed, and this time the main character was left without a dance partner in class.

"Don't worry, guys. When Prince Charming comes, he chooses her over that other girl over there", Malakai spoke out again.

This time, more people turned to shush him. When what he said came true, they became even more enraged.

The next time, the main character and her friends came out of the bath to find that their uniform had been destroyed and they had to go to a school event where the uniform was mandatory.

"Oh, this is the part when Blair reveals that she can sit and make killer outfits out of the uniform scraps and they go with those.", Malakai speaks out again, looking a bit smug.

The girls in the row in front of them glare at him fiercely, looking done with him. Especially this one tiny girl with blonde hair.

The rest of the movie continued on like this, with Malakai adding spoilers every chance he got, until a little towards the end of the movie.

The main character and her friends had just been trapped in the volt.

Malakai opened his mouth to spoil what would happen next, when the tiny girl in front of them, suddenly stood up.

She turned to them and said in a shrill voice, "That's it, mister! You say ONE more thing and I'll come over there and kick your ass!", she says scathingly. Considering her height and age, it came across as more cute than anything else.

Malakai smiled and leaned in closer to her.

"The music girl remembered the sound of the new pass code being inputted and that's how they got out", he says, smiling provocatively.

The little girl sent him a fierce glare. In the next second, she climbed over her face and jumped on Malakia.

She began hitting and pulling on his hair, spitting profanities left and right.

Her teacher stood up and tried to coax her off, while her peers cheered her on.

It was a funny scene. On the screen, the main character and the main villain were fighting over the crown, while off screen, a child was trying to attack Malakai.

Hao Sheng pulled the girl off Malakai with a laugh, and the cinema's security arrived shortly, attracted by the sudden commotion.

After understanding the situation, Malakai and Hao Shwng were escorted out of the theatre.

On their way out, Malakai turned to the theatre and shouted, "The girl in purple chooses to give the crown to Blair over her mother and then become her Lady Royal! After that, Blair's adopted mom moves into the castle with her! ", effectively spoiling the rest of the movie.

Hao Sheng and Malakai are kicked out of the cinema after being asked 'nicely' to never visit again.

Malakai laughed heartily as soon as they were back on the streets.

He stops and turns to Hao Sheng.

"I wasn't too annoying, was I?", he asked playfully, but his eyes betrayed a trace of worry.

Hao Sheng smiled softly as he patted Malakai's head.

"Quite the opposite, in fact. It was quite amusing watching you agrivate a room full of toddlers.", he reassures with a smile.

"What was even more amusing, though", he continues, "was the fact that you were able to accurately spoil the movie. It's almost like you've seen it before... "

Hao Sheng smiles slightly, shoulders shaking, looking like he is holding back laughter.

Malakai pouts slightly, looking affronted.

"I do NOT watch Darbie movies. That was just an educated guess based on other cliques in all these kid movies," he asserts firmly.

Hao Sheng smiled wider.

"Sure, sure. Whatever you say princess".

Malakai's pout deepens, an embarrassed flush colouring his cheeks. He wisely chose to stay silent.

After a bit of silence, Hao Sheng lightly bumps his shoulder into Malakai's.

"You know, it isn't a bad thing to like Darbie...", he says slyly.

"Oh, shut up!", Malakai explodes. "Where are we going next anyway?", Malakai asks, once again changing the topic.

Hao Sheng laughs and gives Malakai another head pat.

"From here, I was thinking we could go to the amusement park nearby. We'll get whatever food there as well, for a light snack.", he says, choosing to play along.

"Then to the amusement park we go!", Malakai exclaimed, finger pointing to the sky.

With that they were one again off.
