Chapter 42: Valley of whispers

Eren looked at a Young girl wearing a veil covering her face, Eren greeted her but she didn't respond.

Inside the carriage, the atmosphere was tense, the air thick with uncertainty. The girl sat opposite to Eren, Hydra, and Elina, wearing a hood that covers her eyes and a veil hide her face, her eyes darting around the dimly lit interior.

Eren watched her closely, his hand never straying far from his sword. He had agreed to protect her, but he couldn't shake the feeling that she was hiding something.

"So, where are we headed?" he asked, his voice calm but guarded.

The girl replied. "To the Valley of Whispers," she said finally. "It's where I am heading."

Eren raised an eyebrow. "Forgive me milady if I may ask, is there a reason why you want to go there?"

Leandra hesitated again, her eyes searching his face. said "Forgive me but that's a personal information I cannot tell you that"

Eren raised his eyebrow but did not asked further, 'welp since I accepted the mission I should be fine right? I mean... The pays good and all and plus I got a feeling that this is one of those romcom plot where the mysterious girl has some secret that will tell me after some random incident or so I say' he thought to himself.

Meanwhile in the awkwardness, Eren finally felt something nodging his armor or so to say harassing him indirectly due to the fact that hydras scales are wriggling around the exterior of eren's armor while also moving her tail to add some points, (if you know what I mean) beside the sleeping Elina.

Eren was so immersed into the situation that he barely or even worse didn't even feel it until he looked over.

"Umm... Ms. Hydra were in front of a child" he whispered.

Hydra jolted forcing to wake the sleeping Elina, "my apologies, I didn't mean to-"

'haah~ such exquisite armor and size, I bet he has very BIG muscles too! Hehehe~'

"It's alright, please don't do that next time" he said,

'Woman, I can literally know what's inside that brain of yours!'

The girl slightly looked Into their direction curiously, "your really close aren't you?"

Eren looked at her and said, "yes and also sorry for the late reply and the straight forward question, my name is Eren and this are my teammates Hydra the lizardwoman and Elina a dark elf, forgive us if you feel uncomfortable"

The girl replied, "no it's fine it pretty much feel boring with this type of silence and also my name is Eline von Castro I"

"Say... Are you a Goliath? You seem to be too big for a human" she asked as she looked at Eren.

"Sorry if I disappointed you lady Eline but I'm a human" Eren replied.

This shocked the young girl, making it more lively instead of an awkward atmosphere,

"Hey! Let me the conversation too!" Hydra said and began a conversation dragging Elina making no room for Eren to even utter a word. (Women "thing" right)

And the whole hours were filled with conversation to no end.
