The Flame Empress Joins the Battle

After I had done the campus tour with Shido I had left straight to my dormitory. I enjoyed my time with Shido, he felt different from all the other boys.

My experiences with boys my age were not good, they always looked at my body. If they didn't want my body then they were pushy on getting to know me for my family name.

The Crimson family is a well-known family known for their strong elemental magic capabilities in flame magic.

When I first ran into Shido I was mad that I had run into a boy. I thought he was gonna use it as an opportunity to talk to me but instead, he started apologizing.

It was my fault so I had felt pretty bad. I didn't plan on actually becoming his friend, but something had just drawn me towards him.

I was just gonna apologize and leave but I had instead asked him what was wrong. He started talking about his friend Rein and how amazing he was and how he eventually left Shido.

His story sounded sad but his eyes looked like he enjoyed talking about Rein. I wonder what kind of person Rein was that brought Shido so much joy when he had done such a terrible thing.

I was kind of jealous of the fact that I wasn't the main topic. Whenever people talked to me the conversation was always about me.

It wasn't a bad feeling though, it made the conversation feel more genuine.

When lunchtime came I didn't know where I wanted to eat but I saw Shido eating by himself. I wanted to talk to Shido more.

I was scared if he didn't want me to eat with him but he gladly smiled at me and let me have lunch with him. It was only natural, no one could refuse a princess like me right, that was what I had thought but it was really just my own self-defense mechanism.

It was different talking to Shido, was it because he didn't know I was a princess? He suddenly asked me if I was someone of high status.

I didn't want to lie but I also didn't want to tell him. I didn't want to lose this feeling of a normal conversation.

He could tell that I felt awkward talking about the situation but he seemed paranoid. I wanted to reassure him so I told him I would protect him.

I wanted to die, I told a man I would protect him, I really wanted to die. I felt like I would die of embarrassment but Shido had just smiled and reassured me instead.

I was supposed to help him but he ended up helping me by calming myself down.

When I was eating I couldn't help but stare at Shido, he was cute. He was too cute and handsome when he ate.

It all ended when I saw his eyes open wide. He had run off saying the one name that I didn't want to hear in this moment of ours.

—Rein is that you?

He had said running off and leaving me alone. I was happy that he may have found his friend but was saddened that our time had ended so abruptly.

I watched from afar it seemed that Shido had mistaken the person for Rein. I wondered who this Rein was, why did someone as nice as Shido make a friend with someone as horrible as Rein.

I wanted to think about who this Rein guy was but I noticed Shido was struggling. The girl was sexually assaulting Shido in the middle of the school grounds in an open area.

She was a beast kin, I thought she was an unsophisticated beast who didn't know the rules. I went to save Shido by pulling out my sword and I slashed a flame of fire toward the beast woman.

I was taken aback, she easily dodged it and I had at least planned to hit the fur on her tail. She was strong I could tell from that single dodge.

I ran and stood between her and Shido. I wanted to hold Shido's gentle hands but had to be prepared for a battle.

I saw a purple mark on Shido's neck and I had lost my temper. I wanted a fight to occur so badly that I was even saying slurs. The wolf girl was smart mouth though, she completely made me sound like a fool.

She had even exposed my identity as a princess and even said she was a princess herself. I didn't even know beast people had princesses.

—oh my, such a foul-mouthed princess.

I was about to blow but Shido had held me back. I forgot that I was trying to protect Shido but I was now about to start a fight instead of saving Shido. I was putting Shido at risk for my own personal gain.

After that incident, I continued eating with Shido and even did the campus tour with him. There was a problem after I had reached my dormitory when I thought about my time with Shido.

—I'll be seeing you later

That word irritated me, she wouldn't dare, would she? When I thought about it she probably would. I opened my window and leaped out of my dormitory.

I had a really bad feeling that I started sprinting. I wouldn't forgive myself if something would happen to him.

I only planned on hiding and being on the lookout for anything suspicious, however, I could feel intense clashing happening ahead.

'What the hell is going on'

I had hurried to see what was going down. There was a platinum-haired girl on the ground and the blue-eyed wolf girl. Was throwing down a powerful spear.

I summoned an ancient weapon of my family. I didn't like using this huge hunk of metal, it made me feel like a total brute.

I couldn't help it though, the spear looked dangerous so I had to bring it out. A huge pillar of flame had risen, and the summoning was finished. I couldn't wield this sword for very long but I intended on ending this battle quickly.

I had swung my great blade and flung the black spear back at the black-haired wolf girl.

— what the fuck was that!

I couldn't help but think about getting my revenge, I tried to say nonchalantly but I could feel my face have a devilish grin.

"Oh my, such a foul-mouthed princess we have here"

—you fucking shitface!

"Things look pretty hectic, am I late?" I told the platinum-haired girl trying to look cute, mysterious, and cool.

Before the platinum-haired girl could respond the battle was already beginning or had begun? I started to question myself.

The wolf girl used some type of spell. She pushed off the air. I swung a huge slash of fire at the wolf girl. I had enlarged my blade to slash at the wolf girl.

The wolf girl swiftly dodged and ran down my huge great blade of Surtur. I made flames hotter than hell rise from the blade but the wolf did not let go.

I tried to fling the wolf off my giant blade but she dared not let go.

I threw my blade high in the sky as I ran up the great blade.

I pulled out the sword at my side, if this wolf didn't want to let go then I would just meet her there myself. We sprinted at each other on this flying and spinning great sword.

She was on all fours she was literally like a beast, was she sure that she was a princess?

She was extremely fast, the clash of my blade and her claws was dangerous. A single mistake from either side would decide the winner.

If I had fought her from the beginning, even I may have lost but the wolf seemed sluggish. She was tired from her previous battle with the platinum-haired girl and she took tremendous amounts of damage from my flames.

She grabbed my blade with her hand and threw kicks spinning around my blade. I dodged the first kick but her other kick had disarmed me.

She had tossed my sword down and had charged straight at me. I threw my arms up and blocked her slash with my arms. If she was at full power her claws would have slashed my arms right off.

We were both tired from the battle. I started throwing punches at the wolf, I had successfully landed a full combo even hitting her with an uppercut.

The wolf had dropped down and tripped me, she had finally jumped off the great blade. She had a chance to end the fight but she couldn't handle the heat any longer.

I grabbed my sword and I had dispelled my giant blade of Surtur and faced the wolf girl.

—hey! how about we call it here? The wolf girl was trying to act like she was letting me off easily as if she had strength to spare.

I charged at the wolf girl without any hesitation.

As I was about to swing down on the cowering wolf girl a purple magic beam had shot down at us.

I had looked up in the direction of the purple magic beam. There were two women with purple hair on brooms.

Those were the rumored twin mages of the Academy. The Altaire sisters came to the academy at a very young age due to their extreme talent.

I could tell they were extremely powerful.

—stand down don't make this any harder than it has to be.

They both said simultaneously with their golden glowing eyes and intense purple aura.

They had another beast girl beside them in a magic purple cage.

—fuck! That must be why Shiva never came. The wolf girl sighed as she closed her eyes

The wolf girl got on her knees with her hands up. I too did the same and so did the platinum-haired girl next to us.

"Fuck me how am I gonna explain this to Father"

I whispered a bit teary-eyed.
