Charlotte tried to evade his gaze as Kael bid everyone goodbye one last time. He then walked towards the entrance of Vulture Claws Shelter. As he reached the entrance, he slowly stepped out and made his way towards his temporary base.

With his current strength, it took him a few hours to reach his destination. Upon arriving, he approached the entrance of the building and knocked. After a few minutes, Rita opened the window on the first floor and peeked out. Seeing it was Kael, she hurriedly ran back and opened the entrance.

As he entered, Rita jumped on him and hugged him tightly. "Sir Variant, you're finally back!"

"Everyone, how are you all doing? Are you all eating enough and getting proper rest?" asked Kael, looking at the kids.

"We're doing good, boss. We're eating well and getting enough rest every day," said all the kids in unison. It seemed like they already knew what Kael would ask and what their response should be.

"Haha, good... good. Now, I'll divide you into ten teams. Who wants to be team leaders? Raise your hands," asked Kael, scanning the faces of the kids.

After hesitating for a moment, Siri raised her hand, followed by Faraaz and a few other kids. Kael looked at the faces of the kids who raised their hands and nodded with a satisfied expression.

"Since 20 members raised their hands, I have to conduct a test to select the 10 out of 20 members," said Kael, wearing a thoughtful expression.

"Come on, everyone. Follow me outside the building," said Kael as he walked back towards the entrance of the building with Siri in his arms.

Then, he used his stamina and controlled a zombie, waiting until it reached them. Everyone was shocked to see the zombie simply approach and stand in front of them without doing anything.

"Haha, don't be scared. It won't do anything to you. Right now, it's under my control. It was a test. Whoever touches the zombie among your 20 kids, they pass the test," said Kael with a calm expression.
