Ana's hands tightened on the book. So that was not a coincidence. Scarlet killed her husband because he knew about the evil rituals and how to stop them. 

"When I found my daughter, she had this torn parchment held in her hand. When I read it my eyes widened. She was suffering the same curse as me yet she dared to speak the truth. And died as a result. 

I never knew my daughter was so brave and stronger than me. I… did not dare to speak a word and hid the letter. His majesty was looking at me with a cold smirk as if he knew what happened to my daughter. 

How I wanted to stab him with a dagger and wipe off that smirk off his face. But all I could do was bow. I hate my life. So when the night came, I ran away with the child. I was sure that I would be caught, after all his men were everywhere.
