Garrison walked with hasty steps making sure that Ana did not feel the pain.

When maids started to follow, he glared at them coldly. Maggie and Emma paused in the mid way feeling pressured by his dark gaze but their eyes followed Ana until they could not see her anymore.

"Do you think the duchess would be in trouble?" Maggie could not help but feel tension when Emma closed her eyes and exhaled a long breath.

When she opened her eyes, she looked more confident than before, 

"Her grace is strong enough to handle her husband. We should return to the party and collect the gossip for her so that she can plan her next step." Maggie reluctantly nodded before following Emma. but her chest was heavy and each step felt like she had walked miles.

Luca had accepted the truth. The second princess is going to fall. But she… she rubbed her chest as if it would keep the pain away but it only increased in her heart.
