Chapter 4: Apocalypse (1)
Our city was being subjected to large earthquakes and storms, it felt like the entire earth was shaking, in the classroom, everybody was put into an instant panic mode and couldn't stop screaming. I just watched as this happened, knowing what was coming.
I laughed as I watched Elle and Bailey with a look of terror on their face. I stayed seated while everyone ran around the classroom. They didn't have a clue in the world, but I did.
"W-Whats up with him?! why is he still sitting down?! does he want to di-"
"W-What....What the hell is that thing?"
I looked to my left, a creature with sharp canines and crimson red eyes, It was beast-like, it looked like a wolf but it was clear it wasn't I had dark fur and red streaks across its body.
"A mutated wolf of some kind? So the system wasn't lying. Well, the early bird gets the worm. If I kill that thing I bet I'll get some levels."
I grab my bag full of the survival gear I had brought. While everyone watched in fear I was just ready, Bailey watched me pull out a hunting knife.
"W-What are doing with that? a-are you gonna try and kill me? right now? you fucking bastard!"
"Calm down, I'm not gonna kill you. Not now at least." I smirk.
"W-What?"
"It's a joke, relax Bailey."
"RELAX? DID YOU JUST TELL ME TO FUCKING RELAX? DO YOU NOT SEE WHAT HAPPENING? A GIANT WOLF THING IS OUTSIDE AND I AM SEEING EVEN MORE MONSTERS!"
Bell, an athlete walks up to me. "What are trying to do with those weapons? kill it?"
"Duh."
Elle looks at me, "Y-You must have a death wish."
I open the door to the classroom, grip my hunting knife tight, and strap my bag around me just as tight.
Stepping outside, the wolf is alerted and instantly shifts its focus to me. Up in the classroom, they watch from the window, expecting to see me die.
'I don't know if my current stats are enough, but I'll have to make it count!'
I dash at the wolf, slicing at its Achilles tendon. The wolf yells in pain and tries its hardest to stand up and keep walking.
"Good, it worked!"
I rush at the wolf with my knife I stab it directly in both eyes, cutting off its vision.
It was now completely lost, It couldn't walk and couldn't see. I just had to close in and finish it off.
I pull out some kitchen knives and throw them at him like daggers.
I forgot to mention, over the week, I trained with knives and ended up gaining this skill from repeatedly practicing my throwing skill.

All 3 knives landed on the wolf's body, It was now bleeding out, I leaped up in the sky, surprisingly, with enough strength and agility stat I could do that. I slam the knife down in the wolf's head, It's now deceased.

The students in the classrooms are shocked, the introvert who is known for being bullied and quiet just killed a monster like nothing. They didn't know what to take from this, but they knew they wanted to survive.
The students ran from the classroom, and they all ran up to me.
A girl with an eager look on her face was first, "K-Kenny...I've been good to you! please let me be with you! Can you protect me?"
And then a guy I can't even remember came next, "N-No! remember that time! that time in the first year of high schoo-"
A pretty popular girl was last, "MOVE! Kenny! I-I'll kiss you! just let me come with you!"
"Gosh, ALL OF YOU SHUT UP! After all this time, after all the ridicule and hate, you all want to suck up to me and dick ride. Well, too bad I'm not going for any of it. Every. Single. One. Of. You. Can go suck a dick. Understand?"
Bailey walks up, Elle right behind him, "Y-You think just because you defeated some beast that you're good? I bet that thing was weak! you probably just got lucky."

His heart sank, a cold sweat dripped from his face and his pupils dilated, he couldn't understand what he was feeling. With this immense hatred and killing intent, he felt his throat closing in on him, it was getting harder to breathe he felt.
"What's wrong? B-Bailey are you alright?", Elle was worried for Bailey, but he was silent, not a single peep, he felt as if that if he moved that he would be killed.
A hand touched his shoulder, and he jumped, but it was just me, smiling at him. To him, it felt like it took an eternity for that feeling to go away, but it was only 10 seconds.
"Wow, Bailey. You're looking pale. You need some water?" A creepy smile crept in on my face.
I grab my bag and put my hunting knife on my hip.
'Status.'

I could feel my senses growing more sensitive the more points that went into that stat, my vision grew better and my hearing was amazing.
'Well, the first day of the apocalypse isn't so bad. I wonder what my parents are doing. I don't have time to see what they're up to though. I need to get stronger and level up. Who knows when people will start awakening?'
'System, Is it possible for people to awaken and become stronger than me?'
[Yes. But, It heavily depends on the person. Every person may awaken a person-specific skill and person-specific stats. Do not let this waver you, just keep getting stronger. Because you are-]
"I'm what?....hello?....that was weird. It just cut off at the end."
Whispers are heard from behind me, "Hey, why is he talking to himself?"
"Who knows, just let him be. He might be going crazy though."
'These bastards...who's going crazy!'
I started to walk, and evidently around 15 students started to follow me, Bailey, and Elle apart of that 15. I just ignore all the students, if they follow me then so be it, but I won't be trying to save anyone. I made sure to tell them that.
I encountered a couple of beasts on the way but they were nothing, just regular stuff like goblins and whatnot. But I was gaining levels, so I didn't mind it so much.

I killed two goblins in one go, granting me the level up I needed.

We weren't prepared for what was about to happen, as the sun went down, a blood moon rose. And monsters had grown far stronger than we thought.
