1 Chapter 1- Death of a Gamer

The land is vast, kingdoms with palaces of 1000 rooms. The sky is blue, the forests produce unparalleled air quality, and life is abundant. The world of Gaiamundo is a world with endless possibilities, warriors with skills unrivaled, and a world where the only goal is to conquer all of Gaiamundo. The only impassable obstacle is, well, is the fact that this is all just a part of a Fantasy MMORPG known as Blade Craft Online, or BCO for short.

My name is Lewis Dapenis, yes I know that my name is quite unfortunate, and I was the top player of BCO. In my strides I have conquered 37% of Gaiamundo. In BCO, my username noobgod420 was feared, respected, and every time someone looked at the leaderboard, I was the guaranteed number one player. My life in BCO was unthinkably amazing, but my life IRL was quite possibly the shittiest life on the fucking Earth. I worked part time jobs, and I could barely afford to sustain myself. My parents had blocked off all connections with me, I had no friends, and I really loved reddit. People called me shit like incel, neckbeard, and nice guy, but I know they were just like me and didn't want to admit it. This was my life all up to the point that I died

One day, I was informed by umm... a "connection" of mine that a gamer girl, that I watched on several streaming services, was selling bath water. "Hmmm..."is what I thought to my self as I checked her instagram bio and noticed the link to her shop. "Reluctantly" I clicked on the link, only out of curiosity though. As soon as I got to the shop, I lost all dignity I had. I was shocked by how much she had available to sell, so I thought I would help her clean out her stock, and I bought around a total 27 liters. It was at this point I regretted being a gamer.

It was around 14 days before all my orders came, and at that point I was bouta hit 40% on BCO. When the bathwater came, I promised my self I wouldn't drink it, but I couldn't contain myself. I drank the whole fucking thing in, I dunno, maybe an hour. I did feel sick that night, but I thought it was just from drinking the water too fast, so I went to sleep. When I woke up, I was no longer a part of Earth, I had died.

I woke up in a some sort of transcendental world, a world above ours. In front of me, a man who glowed a holy aura, I presumed this man was God. He said to me "you have died." I wasn't surprised for some reason, I just took the words and wasn't fazed. He spoke again, "you have died, but you died a death of consistency and passion for what you enjoy. Not many people die a death true to themselves, but when they do, they are reincarnated into the world of their passion with a goal they must fulfill. When they fulfill the task they are given, they ascend into a state greater than what they were." I knew where this was going, but for the sake of it, I asked "does this apply to me?" He answered with "you are to reincarnate into the world of Gaiamundo, and fulfill the goal of Blade Craft Online, you must conquer the entirety of Gaiamundo, but you must be given a penalty for your shameless death, you must begin your conquest in the Shadow Realm."

The Shadow Realm is a continent on Gaiamundo, but it is the worst continent in existence. On this continent there is no natural resources, all the monsters are boss level or above, and it is poor as fuck. This place is hard to conquer and sustain as a veteran player with maxed stats, but to have to start their is impossible, with the only exception being that I could probably do it. The Shadow Realm was my next target to conquer, so I researched quite a bit about it. I found out that it does have separate nations, and that it wouldn't be entirely impossible to infiltrate one of the governments. The other thing I found out is that there is one of the three world items, most powerful items in the games, there. Although I would have to do a bit of research to find out where the item is.

I couldn't be sure if the world would be the same as the game, so I asked him. He said it would be. I also needed to make sure of one other thing, so I asked, "did gamer girl bath water really kill me?" He answered with a disappointed face, "yes." I grew sad from his answer, and I stayed sad for a few minutes :(

All things were in order, I was ready for a new life as a king. I knew a tough road was ahead, I was going in not knowing what would happen if I were to die again. I didn't let it stop me. I was told I would be given a starter kit of all low level items except an item of your choice, with the exception of world items. There was one weapon I really knew how to cheese, it was called Barxia's Dagger, and it may have done little to no damage at first, but it was the fastest melee weapon in the game. All one had to do was upgrade the damage to make it op.

The time had come. The God-like figure chanted in incantation, my first time seeing magic, to send me to the a new world to achieve a goal set out to me. But then, I thought to myself a question that seemed stupid skip over. Did I ever have a choice to be reincarnated or not because I never asked to become lord of the Shadow Realm.
