1 Chapter One: “ You Never Know”

" Senior year is going to fucking rule! I can't wait!" Jimin shouted. He was currently in his best friend Jungkook's bedroom, along with their other best friend Hoseok. It was the day before the beginning of Senior year, and the three boys wanted to have one more night of freedom together before their big day.

" C'mon, we all know the real reason you're excited is because you want to see Taehyung!" Hoseok teased, Jungkook laughed at Hoseok's jab, while Jimin blushed out of humiliation. They always loved to tease to him about his crush on Taehyung, even though Jimin got embarrassed every time.

" And we all know the reason you're excited is because of Min Yoongi!" Jimin yelled back, causing Hoseok to be the one blushing, while Jimin had a smug look on his face. This caused Hoseok to throw a pillow at Jimin. Said male just sticks his tongue out to the older male.

Jungkook smiled fondly at his friends as they teased each other. He loves them both like brothers. He had known Jimin since they were kids since they were neighbors, their families always hung out together so Jimin and Jungkook were always interacting with each other, they have been inseparable ever since. It wasn't until freshmen year when they met Hoseok. He needed help with his classes and Jimin was more than happy to help, the two end up hitting it off and eventually became friends. Hoseok introduced himself to Jungkook and the rest is history.

" Well, it doesn't matter what I do, Taehyung's up Jungkook' ass to much to even notice me!" Jimin shouted angrily. Hoseok nodded feeling the younger male's frustration. It was a common fact everyone knew that Min Yoongi was straightest man you'll ever meet, and knowing that fact tore Hoseok to shreds. It was also a common fact that Kim Taehyung was obsessed with Jungkook, and it was going to take a hell of a lot more work for him to notice anyone else, and that made Jimin pissed. Jungkook scoffed, thinking that Jimin was being a little bit over dramatic.

" Come on Jimin! It's not that bad, you act like he's obsessed with me or something." Jimin and Hoseok stare at Jungkook, shocked. They both thought that Jungkook was more aware of Taehyung's behavior.

" Are you SERIOUS! You're telling me you've never found out about what Taehyung done because he's obsessed with you." Hoseok questioned. Jungkook gave them a confused look. He, in fact, did not know about Kim Taehyung's behavior. Jimin noticed Jungkook's confusion and begins to explain.

" He's been crazy for you since freshmen year, he's stalks you after every class. He threatens anyone who so much as looks at you the wrong way. He doesn't entertain the thought of being with anyone else. You don't know many times I've tried to get him to notice me and get ignored. It's annoying as fuck!" Jimin explained, getting kind of emotional at the end. He wasn't only pissed when Taehyung ignored him, it hurt him like a bitch. He never understood what Taehyung saw in Jungkook, and he envied Jungkook for that.

" Wow." Is a all jungkook said sitting back on his bed beside Hoseok. When Jimin was explaining he was changing into more comfortable clothes. They have all seen each other naked before so it wasn't awkward for them.

They all laughed at Jungkooks reactions. Despite the fact that Jungkook can be a relatively serious person he could do some pretty adorable and funny stuff. Suddenly Hoseok's phone chimes. His mother telling him it's time to go back home. The three friends say their goodbyes with each other as Hoseok leaves. Now that they are alone, Jungkook could cleary see that Jimin is upset.

" You okay, Jiminie?", Said male looks towards him, and then looks back down. He can't stand to look at the person he envies the most.

" I just...I want Taehyung to notice me, but no matter how much I try, he only sees you." Jimin replies. The younger male couldn't help but feel terrible, he wanted nothing more but to see his friend happy.

" Well, you never know. Maybe something will happen and Taehyung will fall for you, and forget all about me." Jungkook joked. Jimin smiled.

Jimin hoped his friend was right.

Sadly, not everyone was having a pleasant evening.

" Namjoon, did you send your transcripts to those Ivy League Universities like I asked." Namjoon's father asked. He didn't want Namjoon wasting any time getting ready for college. He didn't want his son to be a procrastinating failure.

" Yes, Father." Said male responded while eating his dinner, the two other family members sitting I silence. Namjoon's family's dinners were....awkward to say the least. No one really talked unless it was Namjoon's father, Dae-Hee asking a question, then only Namjoon, or Taehyung, Namjoon younger brother, would respond. Their mother was usually always silent unless she was asking how everyone's day was.

Speaking of how days were, Namjoon had a particularly bad one. First, he woke up to his brother having one of his episodes when he's angry and he's yelling and screaming. Taehyung has Bipolar Disorder, so this happens pretty often. And despite that their parents still refuse to help him even after he was diagnosed. Dae-Hee says that it's just a phase and he'll grow out of it. Taehyung and Namjoon think otherwise. Then, he started sending his transcripts to different colleges.

After that he relaxed most of the day, listening to music and making some beats. You see, Namjoon wants to be a Music Producer someday, he's been making these beats since he was fourteen and he hasn't stopped since then. He expressed his aspirations to his family, but his father firmly said no. After that he's been doing his music stuff in secret. Finally, from that moment until right now he's been with his father, shadowing him at work. Dae- Hee, is the CEO of one of the biggest Pharmaceutical Chains in the world. He was letting Namjoon shadow to help him get the feel of working in a office when he eventually takes his fathers spot. He would also take Taehyung, but their father doesn't believe Taehyung is worthy to take his place.

Now, that you're all caught up, let's go back to the present. The Kim Family Dinner.

" Taehyung, have you done anything for college lately?" Taehyung looked at his father with a annoyed face. Unlike Namjoon who did everything his father said, Taehyung couldn't care less about what Dae-Hee had to say.

" Yes, I have. But I haven't applied to any." Taehyung responded, with a aggravated tone, ignoring his fathers glare. He was used to it. To the glares and rude comments. He didn't care though. Dae-Hee bangs his fist on the table, tired of Taehyung's attitude.

" Is that any way to speak to your father?" Dae-Hee asked, giving Taehyung a threatening look. " I provide everything for you, give you every you want and need, and yet you sit here wasting away, like a failure.". Taehyung grimaced, his father has never blatantly insulted him before. He would never but... he was hurt by his fathers words. No matter how much he tried to ignore them, they always cut deep.

" I'm going to my room, I'm tired." Taehyung deadpanned as he got up from the table. Namjoon felt so powerless as he watched the whole situation unfold. He wanted to defend Taehyung, but he was to scared about his father scolded by his father. He felt like such a coward and he hated it.

Dae-Hee just scoffs, not affected by Taehyung's behavior.

" Sometimes, I wish I only had one son." Taehyung's and Namjoon's eyes widened. Did he really just say about his own son?! After that Taehyung ran to his room in an angered frenzy, slam his door EXTRA hard.

He had kept his anger in for all of dinner, now he can let it all out. He screamed. Loud. He threw everything on his dresser, desk, and nightstand. Some ended up actually breaking on impact. Although he would never admit it,  Taehyung has always felt inferior to Namjoon. Namjoon was older, smarter, more obedient, and he also didn't mental issues. He was perfect son.

The more Taehyung thought about it, the more his anger dwindled into depression. He felt so worthless. Why couldn't he be like Namjoon. Why did he have to be the defective one. Why couldn't he be the son everyone wanted to be? Why did he have to be the problematic one?

Why was he born this way?

Why was he born at all.

I'll end with saying that Taehyung had a long night.

" In Jesus name, we pray, Amen" Yoongi said, before digging into his meal. He just finished saying grace for his family, along with is Mother's sister's family.

The families came together today to let their sons have a nice evening before senior year starts. Which both boys were more than grateful for.

" Thank you, Suk-Ja once again for coming over. I believe the boys really needed this. I know Yoongi's been having some crazy nerves lately." Yeong-Ja, Yoongi's mother, said to her younger sister. Suk-Ja just smiled fondly, she loved seeing her sister happy and smiling. Which hasn't been happening for a while.

" Don't thank me, you know I love bringing Seokjin and Yoongi together." Suk-Ja responded. Yes, you heard it here! Yoongi and Seokjin are cousins.

Anyway, Yoongi sat quietly as his mom and aunt converse with one another. His mother was right about one thing...Yoongi was having some crazy nerves about Senior year. It wasn't about just stuff like schoolwork though. It was the people...well, one person in particular. Jung Hoseok. Yoongi has been crushing Hoseok since sophomore year, they had biology together. They were partnered up for a project and he's been whipped ever since. He's even been having certain dreams about Hoseok too.

Yoongi hasn't told anyone that's he has on Hoseok. Or that's he's gay. I mean, he's told his closest friend Namjoon, but that's it. He does plan on telling Seokjin though. He hopes their relationship doesn't change.

Speaking of Seokjin, he's been having a great time. Happily talking to his aunt and laughing to her stories about Suk-Ja when she was their age. Turns out Suk-Ja was quite the troublemaker. As they were talking, Yoongi excuses himself from dinner. Out of curiosity Seokjin follows him.

" Why are you following me?" Yoongi questioned, as they reached the younger males bedroom. Jin chuckles.

" What? I can't check on my little cousin? I was just curious about what's in that big head of yours." Seokjin replied. He was genuinely curious about what Yoongi was up to.

" Well, it's nothing so you can go now." Yoongi replied while they both sit down on Yoongi's bed. Yoongi groaned at the fact that Seokjin didn't take the hint that he didn't want to talk and sat down anyway.

" Judging by your attitude right now it's not 'nothing'." The older said using air quotes around the word nothing. " Remember, you can tell me anything Yoongs." Yoongi smiled at the nickname. Jin has been using that name since they were toddlers.

" Okay, just promise me you won't be disgusted and hate me?" Yoongi questioned. Here goes nothing! The older was confused, but nodded anyway.

" Jin...I'm gay." Jin's eyes widened. He would have never thought that was the reason for Yoongis behavior. But, Jin smiled anyway and give Yoongi a side hug.

" It's okay Yoongs, I'm not disgusted with you. I love you just the way you are!" The older responded, making Yoongi let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. He was unsure of Seokjin's reaction because they both came from pretty religious families, where something like being gay was sin that would send you straight into the fiery pits of hell. According to his parents anyway, especially is father He was a crazy religious, homophobic but job. He would hate anything that was considered a sin in his eyes ( which was a lot).

For awhile Jin and Yoongi just sit in each other's arms, Yoongi finding comfort within them. Then Jin said something that broke the calmness.

" How are you going to tell you dad?"
