78 Chapter 78 : Uzumaki Mito!

As evening approached, Kazuhiko sensed someone approaching the small courtyard.

"It's the third elder, and there's another person with a powerful life force—likely another Uzumaki clan member. But that life force is fading rapidly. Could it be..."

For a moment, he closed his eyes and, when he reopened them, his purple pupils had reverted to their original appearance. This was a trick he had learned during his practice that afternoon.

Soon, he opened the courtyard door, and two individuals appeared before him.

Both greeted Kazuhiko with respect. Without waiting for the third elder's introduction, Kazuhiko moved forward and helped the elderly woman to his feet.

With long, dark red hair and the need for a cane to walk, the elderly woman looked frail, much like an old grandmother needing assistance. 

Kazuhiko's heart warmed, recalling his own grandmother from his previous life, who had passed away while he was in high school.

Kazuhiko could sense the elderly woman's resilient vitality and the sealed tailed beast within her.

"Grandma Mito, why are you doing this..." Kazuhiko said as he supported her.

Uzumaki Mito began to speak slowly, her kind eyes fixed on Kazuhiko.

"I've been eager to meet our new clan head for some time. I heard you were exhausted from your journey, which is why I didn't visit you yesterday."

Her words filled Kazuhiko with goodwill, as he remembered the warm bond he had shared with his grandmother in his previous life.

He felt the old woman's tenacious vitality and recalled the tragic events Land of Whirlpools faced due to the Land of Water's threat, which the third elder had briefed him on. It was the Kazuhiko's bravery that saved the Uzumaki clan from destruction.

"Thank goodness you and the Uzumaki clan are here in the Land of Fire!" Uzumaki Mito's eyes welled up with tears as she choked back her emotions.

Kazuhiko comforted her, reassuring her that the Land of Whirlpools and the Uzumaki clan would endure.

In her vulnerable state, she had been deceived by those around her, and Kazuhiko could sense her pain and the joy of finally meeting him.

His growing discontent with Konoha only intensified.
