It all started five years ago, when a giant hole opened in the sky and unknown monsters started coming out of it. The military of the world barely managed to kill the monsters that came through. Officials dubbed these holes as "Rifts." Soon after people all over the world started waking up with a game like screen in their vision and superhuman abilities, some people even became fantasy races. Elves, druids, fairies, and even demon races such as succubus and majin. These people were called "Awoken" and became heavily relied on when the Rifts started reappearing. The chaos of the new Awoken sent the governments, who were not able to control them, to make new laws just for ones who have become Awoken. Soon the most powerful of the Awoken formed groups, called guilds. To divide the power difference between weak and strong Awoken, the government and the strongest awoken decided to create a system to judge their strength, and tiers of Awoken formed. Starting at the weakest: Blank, Copper, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Master, and Dragon. Only 13 Awoken have ever reached Dragon Rank. Every Awoken dreamed of one day being strong enough to be a Dragon Rank, except one.

When I woke up, the first thing I saw was a screen, floating eye level about a foot away.

There across the room in my mirror I saw a being that looked like me with solid white hair, one blood red eye and one solid black eye.

"I haven't looked at my status yet, but I did get a race. Dude I'm a freakin' vampire!"
"That's so cool! I've never heard of someone who became a vampire. Wait does that mean you need to drink blood?"
"Oh no! Here it comes! The insatiable thirst for blood!"
"Akuma! Don't do anything you would regret!"
"Hahaha just kidding. I have no 'insatiable' hunger for blood."
"Oh hahaha. I totally knew you were just kidding."
"Shut up, I know you didn't."
"Ugh. Fine you got me. Anyway, what's your status?"
"I don't know, let me check real quick."

"You have no idea how to check do you?"

"So? Are you just going to sit there quietly or are you gonna tell me your status?"

"That's so cool! You're strong enough to be a Bronze Rank already!"

"Why do you not sound excited about this?"

I carefully got up.
-What the hell is this status. There is no way this thing isn't broken. Whatever, I need to use the bathroom.-
As I grabbed the door knob for my door, I felt no resistance.

-Uh oh.-
I broke the door clean of the hinges.
-Mom and Dad are going to be pissed. How am I supposed to tell them?-
