He’s, uhm, how should I say it?

He’s not that bad? I guess.

From what I’ve seen earlier, he means no harm. It was just him saying sorry for scaring me that day. Well, I’m not that dense not to know if he’s faking it or not. I know their tactics and they cannot somehow fool me over it. It’s not as if I should trust him and shift to his side immediately. I only know his name, not everything about him so I still need more.

I am aiming for a piece of information I could use to check his background.

I need a lead.

Which means,

I need his last name.

With that piece of information, I would quickly know from what family he is. I could also check if he’s an elite or not.

Now that I think about it, does it seem like I’m invading his privacy?

I think not because this is what the higher-ups should’ve done from the start. They know who he is but won’t tell us, so how would he be able to get out of this cell. He’s not even seen in the outside world. How will his accomplice find him, right? There’s no connection leading to him.

He doesn’t have his parents, neither his brother ‘cause he was accused of killing them.

I remember what I asked Uncle Ino earlier.

“Uncle, do you perhaps know anyone named Creed?” I asked Uncle while I deliver his food. "Maybe a code name?" I added when I recall what Creed said.

"You got that code names, huh?"

We'll that must be his code name too.

Uncle Ino knows a lot of elites, primarily the higher-ups since he worked with them before. He also had a lot of connections with them because of my father.

My father and Uncle Ino used to work with some of the good elites.

We worked with them before but I barely know them.

“Creed?” Asked Uncle Ino.

“Uh-huh.”

“No. Why did you ask? Is there a problem?” His concern immediately arise.

Is it really counted as a problem?

I’m the only one curious about him though.

“I’ve never heard such names.” He added while shaking his head.

“No, Uncle. I was just wondering,” I halted, and after a couple of minutes, I took my leave.

Now that I know his name, how the hell shall I find his background?

Should I make him trust me? Or maybe I should befriend him?

That’s a bit absurd. He won’t get anything from me anyway.

Few hours had passed and all I did was break the boredom out of researching.

I’ve been finding any possible data about him. Unfortunately, there’s a lot of data about a person named Creed but to him was none.

I cannot find anything on the internet, not even on social media and other platforms.

I can’t even see a single photo of him with elites, on charity events, and other ballroom events.

That’s where most elites are found. Since they gain the trust of us ordinary people, they tend to show up on social media looking all nice and innocent. But to him, why is it so hard?

“Nix,” I went back to my senses when Uncle Ino called while I saw him walking towards me.

I immediately stood up and answered him with a smile. “Yes, Uncle?”

He gestured me to come closer to him so I did. “Someone from the higher-ups scheduled a visit for Prisoner 002516,” he whispered.

To my surprise, I couldn’t answer instantly.

“Really?” I exclaimed when I regained my senses.

He nodded in response. I bet he’s surprised too.

It’s the first time we got him a visitor.

“When?” I asked out of curiosity.

“He’ll come by any time soon, he said.” Says Uncle Ino.

He? Who from the higher-ups though? I only know a few of ‘em.

“Okay, I’ll inform him,” I uttered.

"You know what to do, okay?" And with that, Uncle Ino left the room.

I turned off the desktop I was using and fixed the mess I made while researching.

After that, I walked towards the cell to inform him.

I took the key from my pocket and unlatched the door.

“Hey,” I mumbled and I saw him shift his gaze from the wall to me. “Uhm, can I talk to you for a couple of minutes?” I asked and his brows furrowed.

I sat on his table’s chair and he followed me. “Why?” He asked and sat down.

“I’m here to inform you that someone from the higher-ups will visit you any time soon. I’ll have to teach you some rules and regulations to follow -“ he stopped me halfway.

“Who?” And he’s back again with that one-word response.

“I don’t know who but I heard he’s a he,” I explained.

I saw his expression changed. His face formed a frown when he heard what I said. Seems like he had a clue in mind when I said that it’s a ‘he’.

It’s an improvement for his case. That person might want to help him, who knows.

“What should I do?” Asked Creed.

“Well, you’ll be put in a private communication cell. One is highly restricted from physical contact which means he’ll be put in another lock-up. While you’re at it, I’m gonna guard you and you’ll stay handcuffed. Do you understand?” I asked when I saw him staring at a phase.

He nodded without looking at me.

“Then, I’ll head out and come back when he’s here,” I said, not wanting to add more.

“Wait,” he halted when I stood up.

“Hm?”

Creed averted my gaze and he lowered his head. He then looked at me back and forth, unsure of something. It’s as if he wants to say something without knowing how to actually say it.

This is the same expression he had when he told me his name. It's like he wanted to say more than that. He wanted to know more but he doesn't know how to start or where to start.

He's weirded out.

A puff of air escaped his lips. “Nevermind, uhm, you can go.” Says Creed.

I got confused but I didn’t want to ask more so I just left the room and locked his cell.

Whoever that visitor is, he must have got a high position out there.

He might be connected to you.
