The next day, I woke up with my head throbbing in pain. I sighed, it was because I couldn’t sleep last night.

That elite keeps on bothering me!

“I’m sorry, I don’t accept elites as my clients,” I uttered and ended the call.

I entered the house and my phone rang again. “Sir, I said I don’t accept -“ he stopped me midway.

“Okay, I’m sorry. But please, please help me get my brother out of the cell. He doesn’t deserve this.” The caller pleaded that it stunned me. An elite never pleads. Also, his voice changed, it’s calmer and younger, I guess?

I look at the caller’s name once more to check if it’s the same person who called me earlier.

It is the same.

“I can’t do anything regarding your brother’s case as I’m not working on the firm anymore.” I declined and once again, ended the call.

After that, he didn’t bother me anymore but he sent me a message.

“If ever you changed your mind, please call me.”

As if I’ll change my mind. I’ve been out of that nightmare for the past three years and he can’t change my mind. He is an elite and so whoever his brother is.

I’m not going to put myself in danger.

I got out of bed and started to cook breakfast when my phone rang.

Sean calling… It says on the phone.

“Good morning, Nix!” He exclaimed as soon as I answered the call.

“Morning! Ugh, my head’s aching!” I whined.

“You okay? Want me to go there?” I heard his concerned voice and I chuckled at that.

“Relax! I’m okay. I just didn’t sleep well,” I explained, and soon after, he ended the call.

Since I still have time stored, I decided to cook for them. There’s no event but, I don’t know, I just feel like it.

Even though my head is pulsating, I managed to cook three dishes.

After cooking and eating my breakfast, I went to take a bath so that I could go straight to the cell already.

“Morning, Nix!” Uncle Ino greeted me when I entered the cell.

“Morning, Uncle! I cooked for you!” His face lit up with what I said.

“Really? What’s up for today? You seem to have a lot of energy?”

Nah, Uncle. If only you knew that I didn’t get sleep the whole night, you wouldn’t want me to be here.

“You could say that,” I uttered and handed him the food I cooked. I still got two dishes in my hand.

“Thank you. I really missed your cooking,” says Uncle Ino.

I head to the locker area to put my things before going to the kitchen.

“Nix! You okay?” As soon as Sean saw me, he hurriedly went to check me up.

“I cooked for you,” I mumbled while he was worriedly checking my temperature.

“You cooked for me, huh.” He mocked and look at the Tupperware I brought.

“Because my dear best friend is jealous of the prisoner I cooked for, yesterday.”

He gave me a frown. “Of course,” he stopped. “Not!” And continued to do his things inside the kitchen as I left.

And here I am again, combusting on my way to the cell.

I wanted to give him a piece of offering. Just something I can give without a sweat. Though I’m not yet sure if he’s an elite or not, I have to know about him.

I’m now in front of his room, holding the Tupperware in my hand.

I looked for the key inside my pocket and unlocked the room.

Slowly, I entered and saw him sitting on his bed, his backing facing me.

“You’re here again,” says the latter. I was startled by his sudden utterance of words.

“You’re food.” I stuttered and placed the food on top of the small, round table. “I cooked.”

“Why are you doing this?” Asked the prisoner.

“Uhm, it’s my job. I deliver the food for the prisoners.” I shared and stood behind the door, waiting if he’s going t speak or no.

“Why would you give a special treatment in a cell?” Says the latter. He stood up and went one meter away from me.

“Because this cell is different from any other cell,” I exclaimed and tried to avoid his gaze.

“Wait,” he stopped me when I was about to go out of the cell.

“Is not one visiting me?” He asked in a muffled voice.

“Uhm,”

How should I say that no one on the list is scheduled to meet him?

“I’ll check,” I stuttered.

But he might hope for nothing.

He nodded in response so I didn’t stay any longer. I took my leave and locked his room.

Before I left his place, I looked at him once more and what I saw stunned me. He looked so vulnerable with his head lowered down. It’s as if he lost hope knowing that no one has visited him yet.

While I was checking the other prisoner, I was thinking of his question earlier.

Unlike other prisoners, they can easily get out of this cell in a day or less than a week ‘cause of the powerful protectors they have. But in his case, I don’t even know where he came from. I didn’t want to meddle with his case ‘cause only the authorized officials can have their identity.

Why is no one visiting him?

From the vulnerability I saw earlier, the anger in his eyes when I accused him, I had a feeling that he’s not the suspect. That he’s not the one who killed his parents but I cannot be so sure. Elites could really pretend in front of everyone.

Why would someone accuse him of assassinating his parents?

After checking the other rooms, I head to Uncle Ino’s area.

“Nix!” He greeted me when he saw me enter the room.

“Uncle Ino, uhm, a prisoner was asking if no one’s visiting him today,” I informed and I saw him frown.

“Who?”

“Prisoner 002516?” I tilted my head, not sure of his number.

“Let me see,” says Uncle and grabbed a book. He browsed through his notebook and when he found his name, he gestured me to read it.

“There’s no one?” I asked when I saw a blank space on the notebook. It’s just his, “ Prisoner 002516” and an empty spot of scheduled visitors.

“It’s been empty since yesterday. I wonder why no one’s coming to visit him, not even some reporters.” He shared.

“Do you have any idea of his whereabouts? Or from where he came from?” I asked, wanting to know more about his background.

“No. I don’t think he’s from an elite family. I don’t recognize him. Besides, I didn’t saw his background since the higher-ups didn’t allow any of his information to be disclosed.” Says Uncle. It made me more curious.

Who really are you?
