Rose

England, 1900 (Retro- Futuristic)

"Mother. Mother. Please don't leave me. I don't want to be alone." Han Jun was eight when her mother died. He never knew the reason behind her death. He was too young.

"Han Jun, please. Don't make it difficult for us. You are the only heir to the family line. You cannot break down like this. You understand?" Hugo, his uncle, took Han Jun by his hand and forced him to get up. Han Jun's father passed away when he was born so he is the automatic heir to the family line.

"Hmph. He shouldn't even be the heir. He's the devil's child." His aunt, Ella, crossed her arm and smirked. Hugo and Ella were Han Jun's only family member. The rest were employed.

"Ella. Enough. I understand how you feel but you are standing in front of my brother's gravestone. This kind of behavior cannot be tolerated. My brother's past behavior, I will apologize afterward. For now, young master has to leave or else it will be difficult for him later on. He has to get over their death, I want your help. Can you do it?" Ella rolled her eyes.

"Hey, get up. Time to go. If you don't leave right now, I can punish you right now! Still not moving? Are you deaf? Hey, kid! Move, you son of a bitch." Han Jun slowly got up and clutched onto the rose that was given to him.

"Auntie, I want to place the rose beside my mother's grave. Can I?" Han Jun asked respectively.

"Did I say you can?" Ella was impatient and started dragging eight years old Han Jun.

"Auntie, stop! It hurts!" Han Jun's right wrist was red and swollen. He clutched onto the rose with his left hand until it bled.

"Auntie, it hurts." Han Jun was about to cry when Ella slapped him across his face. His face was swollen with tears.

"Did I say you can cry? Boys don't cry!" Ella yelled at the little boy. She hated him. She was enraged every time she saw him. As they got back to the huge mansion, Han Jun was being taken care of by his maid. He didn't say anything but simply stood quiet in his room.

"What happened to the young master?" One maid asked curiously.

"Who knows. I heard young master's aunt was raped by young master's father." Another maid said.

"Shh. Not in front of him. He is still eight years old. He is way too young to know about this." Another maid named Gabby looked at the other two maids and made them shut up.

"We need to get him ready for the dinner this evening." Gabby said as she got his clothes for the evening.

It was the dinner to commemorate the death of Han Jun's parents death. Other people were also invited, his aunt and uncle made Han Jun sick to his stomach.

"Uncle, I want to leave." Han Jun pulled on Hugo's tuxedo. Hugo looked at him and sternly shook his head. He looked over the young man and smiled.

"Let me introduce my nephew, Han Jun. He is eight years old. Han Jun, this is one of my important guest, Victor. He is your future father in law. Say hi to him." Han Jun reluctantly said hi.

"He's such a well-mannered child. My daughter will definitely like him in the future. Currently my daughter is living with her mom right now. I will bring her to play one day." Victor smiled and he took a sip of his hot tea.

The dinner looked luxurious. There were various types of food from all over the world. After many hours of talking and laughing, Han Jun finally excused himself.

As he went to his room, he lied on his bed and started to cry. He got up slowly and saw the rose on his bedside table.

"Mommy. Where are you?" His tears fell onto the rose and suddenly he saw a white butterfly. It landed on the rose and Han Jun knew that was his mother's spirit. She was always with him. Han Jun suddenly felt sleepy and fell asleep very quickly.

In his dream, his mother appeared.

"Han Jun. My son, don't be sad. Mommy will always be with you." His mother smiled as she disappeared in the distance.

Time passed, Han Jun was eighteen years old. He was tall and handsome but he was very cold and cruel. When Han Jun woke up, he swore that he will look into his mother's death. Today was her death anniversary. No one was allowed to disturb him. If someone disturbed him, they will experience hell itself. All of the maids bowed as he walked through the hallway. None of them looked into his eyes. They all heard of the rumor that some maids were killed by the young master. All of them were quiet. No one dared to move. His cold aura made everyone shiver to their skin. They were unable to say anything bad to him.

Han Jun was often alone and no one dared to talk to him. His wall was hard to break into. He was cold blooded and he had no empathy towards other people. His cold, soul-less eyes had no life in them. He hated women who think they were better, he hated them for how they treat his dead mother and father. He will never forgive such atrocious act. He hated women who jumps on him and hated them for being so thirsty. He had no room for forgiveness.

His mother was the only woman who cared about him. She was a slave to the household before, it was rumored that she seduced his father. His father was rumored to have raped several women before getting married to his wife. Han Jun knew this wasn't true. It was rumors after all. He won't tolerate any more of this behavior. He was hated by everyone in this family. They cannot wait to get rid of him. They knew Han Jun will have all of the power and inheritence.
